Elevate Vineyards

We ended up not staying at Elevate Vineyard. The road up to the site was quite narrow and steep (at times scary in our van) and once we got up there, we noticed that the surroundings were not the best suited for our dog (lots of rock and prickly things). There was a bit of wildfire smoke so the view was obscured a bit. Even though I saw pictures before hand, it turned out the space was not for us. We just decided to find an alternate place to stay for the two nights we were in the area. I reached out to Mike, the owner, to let him know, but never heard back.

Elevate vineyards was such a unique experience for tent camping. Stunning views of Lake Chelan, you get a sunrise view over the mountains and a sunset view over the lake. Remote enough but also not a far drive to the lake. Mike is a welcoming host. The drive up is a couple miles of unpaved road but not too difficult to navigate.

Incredible views! The photos don’t do it justice. Such a peaceful spot with lots of wildlife viewing. Wish I could have stayed longer!

I loved camping at Elevate Vineyards. The view of Lake Chelan was amazing especially at sunrise. The tent shelter and outhouse were nice amenities.

Car camping with backpacking views

Fantastic site at Elevate Vineyards. North Whisky Camp was just big enough for a 4 person tent and had absolutely phenomenal views. Would absolutely book this site again. The last 0.1 mile of road was very steep with loose gravel but was not problematic at all for an overloaded 2WD sedan. This is a real hidden gem, and we can’t wait to go back.

We enjoyed our stay at the North Whiskey campsite. It felt like we were right on the edge of a cliff with stunning, unobstructed views. From our site, we could see the sunset, stars, and sunrise—absolutely beautiful. There’s a small vineyard behind the site and a rustic outhouse nearby for convenience. Our campsite was located down a slope with a flat area perfect for a tent. While there is a house behind and above the site, it’s not visible from the campsite itself, so we still felt like we had plenty of privacy thanks to the hill and the roof shelter overhead. One thing to note: the last two miles of the road are gravel and winding. We managed in a regular car, but it was a bit nerve-wracking—AWD is definitely recommended. Also, if you're uncomfortable with heights, be aware that the site has a steep drop in front, though the tent area itself is safe and level.

Spectacular views

This is one of the most unique and beautiful spots. We had the hill to ourselves - it was spectacular. We stayed in Chelan all day and went to the camp site right before sun set because it was a very hot day and there is no shade cover at the site. The views of lake Chelan and the Columbia River are amazing. No mosquitoes. The only wildlife were deer, crickets and birds. We will definitely come again!!!

Glacier Gap Camp

Mike and Laura were such enjoyable hosts! I booked this site last minute and somehow missed that it was at a small tasting room on their property! I was pleasantly surprised by all the kind neighbors and campers i met and delicious wine I drank:) The camping spaces were smaller with a couple places that could accommodate a larger group. The property is easy to access with a stunning view, but it is pretty high up and gets quite windy at night (I brought a propane fire pit and decided against using it) The river and lake Chelan was about 20-30min away and Mike gave a great suggestion where to put my paddle board in. Overall I loved the site/experience and plan to revisit soon with some girlfriends!

Spectacular views top of the world

This is a very special place, with a great view of the Manson fire works on the 4th. The vineyard is a wonderful setting and very quiet, with no light pollution at all. One suggestion though, a map of the spaces would be very helpful when picking a spot. I'll be returning one day.

Peaceful escape

This site was everything we hoped for and more. Waking up with a view of the mountains and ending the day under a glowing sky was pure magic. The location is peaceful, private, and feels like your own little slice of wilderness heaven. Everything was clean (even the outhouse!), easy to access and the setup made camping stress free. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway!

Absolutely mind blowing, incredible views of Chelan Falls, the Columbia river, and McNeil Canyon after a short, steep climb up from McNeil Canyon Rd. Very tough climb on a bike! Relatively quiet, and far enough from neighboring properties. Having a clean pit toilet onsite is a really nice convenience. It was a bit too windy to be enjoyable outside our van one of two evenings, but not sure if that’s typical or just unpredictable spring weather. I’d love to visit again someday if the tasting room opens!

Wonderful view. Had a great picnic with my daughter at one of their picnic tables as the sun set over lake Chelan. Stars were incredible. We came back for a second night.

Mike and Laura are incredibly friendly and welcoming hosts. The location at Elevate is stunning with views in all directions including Chelan Butte, the lake, Columbia River and the surrounding hills. Being situated high on the plateau also makes it considerably cooler than the valley in the summer months. Buy a bottle (or a case!) of their wine as gifts for friends or add them to your cellar. Highly recommended. I'll definitely return.

Beautiful view on the top of the mountain. Hosts are nice as well. The actual camp site we booked are a little bit tight. Not peak time so Michael offered us to stay in the parking lot. Will come back again.

Camp Sherman is the best site as this Hipcamp location. Great view with a large enough around for a spacious camp. Watched the sunset over Lake Chelan while three deer fed below the property. During the night conditions got windy so check the weather and be ready for anything. Be aware though this is not your typical winery. It looks like it is currently in the grow/development phase so don't expect to have a tasting experience like a standard winery. Also know that they road is dirt/gravel and could be hard for non 4x4 vehicles to navigate.

Perfect Getaway with Stunning Views

This was an absolutely stunning camping spot that far exceeded our expectations! We loved every moment of our stay. The sunrises and sunsets over Lake Chelan and the Cascade Mountains were simply breathtaking. Next time, we'll bring our telescope for some stargazing! The vault toilet was clean and convenient for non-van camper guests. Michael and his wife were amazing hosts—very responsive and accommodating. Plus, we were fortunate to experience a barrel tasting which was amazing! We're already looking forward to our next visit. 🥂

Coleman Glacier Camp

Great place near lake chelan! We stayed on a very hot day but with the elevation you wouldn’t know it ! We were the only ones there and experience a stunning sunset! Would come again!

the weekend was 99 degrees we got awesome fly overs from the planes putting out wildfires they had two darling dogs cocoa and poncho we got to watch the fireworks from above on the mountain and there was a beautiful view and gorgeous sunsets every night from the wild fires which is sad and beautiful at the same time our hosts were very gracious people and we got to meet some of their friends also you should have a four wheel vehicle to drive up the mountain
