Really nice area to camp. Henry came by when we arrived to welcome us. Clean port-o-pottie, nice to have clean running water too. There weren’t any address signs identifying the entrance and campsites were hard to identify at first but otherwise, overall happy with the stay. Had a nice marine layer in the morning, then sun, rain, lightening and a beautiful sunset. Good ol Washington weather at its finest.

The Ducken Farm camp is neat and clean (aside from a super smelly porta-potty) and an acceptable place to camp on your way to somewhere else. The farmhouse and barn are cool, it’s pretty quiet despite the nearness of the highway, and it’s generally peaceful. The sites are very exposed to each other, so your experience will be directly impacted by the behavior of your neighbors. Better if you’re in an RV, I think. I never saw a host, though there was a camera mounted on an outbuilding to monitor things. The hosts, however, are promptly responsive if you have a question. Overall an okay experience, no serious complaints, but I wouldn’t spend a ton of time here.

Very quaint little spot to camp. The property was beautiful and in a great location, within about 5 min of Deception Pass. Karen and Henry were very responsive.

We booked Ducken Farm last minute, and appreciated the timely accepted booking at the last minute! The location close to Deception Pass State Park was superb, and it was about 30 minutes to our ferry ride the next morning. The views are pretty, and it was nice to have access to a porta potty. The sites are all completely open and right next to each other, so there is very limited to no privacy. You can also hear the main highway road noise, and its right on a busy-ish country road with cars going by more and faster than you'd expect. We were unable to find the water source.

We loved camping on The Ducken Farm. Site was clean and spacious. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. The hot water sink was an extra perk. Would stay there again. Thanks Karen and Henry! You have a beautiful property.

The sites are very large which makes spreading out less hectic. The fire pit is in the perfect place. There is hot and cold water close by to the campsite and the latrines were well maintained despite the campground being close to 100% full.

Better than the State Park!

We reserved sites 7, 8 and 5 for a group trip. We ended up only using 5 for a campfire/socializing after the kids went to sleep and could easily fit our 5 large tents amongst 7 & 8. Sites 7 & 8 are a bit more private so we preferred those ones. The grassy land was very comfortable and all our gear was much cleaner than staying in a dusty state park. The cool breeze was great on a hot day and we enjoyed a gorgeous sunset and mountain views. Only downsides were we could hear road noise all night long but we imagine you would hear that at any campgrounds in the area. There is very little privacy or shade at the camp but campers staying in other sites were very quiet and pleasant. Access to Deception Pass State Park was super easy. Would definitely recommend!

Ducken Farm is lovely, had a fantastic cool breeze on a very hot day (though no shade) and gorgeous views of the mountains. One can drive to Deception Pass State Park in under 5 minutes. Running water is great and the outhouse was clean. Site 5 is in the middle of the field and closest to the outhouse (not that close) so might choose a different site if you have an option. Also, can definitely hear road noise all night long so might keep that in mind. I imagine the noise wouldn't be any better at any of the local state parks and all of the other campers there are the same time as us were very peaceful.

Site 1 - Ducken Farm Camping

This is a great spot to camp! I'm a newbie camper so this spot was great because we had access to bathrooms, a sink, and portable water. There was advertised firewood for sale on site but I didn't see any during my stay. Regardless, it was a very nice stay and when meeting Henry, he was very sweet and helpful! Would recommend!

The big open and grassy field was a great place for our family getaway. We loved being so close to the state park and easy drive up to Anacortes for a whale-watching excursion

Flat and grassy sites in an open meadow with distant mountain views. We loved watching the bald eagles soaring overhead during the day and listening to coyotes while stargazing around the fire at night. Bathrooms were clean and the sink with hot water was great for doing dishes

Perfect parking spot for the night!

Great little spot on the farm with cut grass to pitch a tent and gravel spot to park our Jeep with roof top tent. Fire pit would have been nice, but cool night with windy conditions expected, we skipped it this time. Conveniently located just a bit from Deception Pass this was just what we needed since all the State Park Campgrounds were essentially "booked up" with reservations. Henry drove down shortly after we announced our arrival to make sure we were set and it was perfect for our short one night stay on the island.

Karen and Henry were quick to reply for last minute plans. We had the farm to ourselves. Enjoyed beautiful sunset and soft green grass. Nice to have running water by the outhouse and another sink for washing dishes. We recommend this over camping at the nearby state park any day!

We had planned on camping and hitting the drive in but ended up heading home the same night so we didn’t get a chance to actually stay. But the spot was wonderful and there’s a mini golf place around the corner! Planning on coming back to get the full exp. eventually 🫶 Bathrooms on site as well!

The sites are pretty close to each other with little privacy/trees, but it’s a gorgeous location with beautiful sea sunset views in the distance. Perfect for a quick night stay with level ground for camping.

We enjoyed camping on Karen & Henry's land during the Oak Harbor Music Festival. This is a great location with plenty of space between sites. The pastoral sunrise and expansive sunsets were amazing. This is a great place to van camp.
