Tenino, the area we are in is where the First Nations People used as the Gathering Grounds. The Europeans when they came with their railroad chose to continue that tradition. Tenino is ground zero for the measurement of where one is on the railroad. We fell in love with our farm with its much untouched acres to create a place where people can gather and reconnect with life's natural beauty. We are certified organic, Salmon Safe certified, and pesticide free. Dragons' Gate Gardens is home to many giant crystals and here their beauty works delightfully with the land. The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Dragons Gate Gardens and Wilds has a hundred and twenty acres to explore. The Skookumchuck River is a little over a mile away where you can enjoy a waterfall and walk along the river with low bank where one can get into the water. Doing so is a great favorite of our guests. There is a giant crystal housed in a gazebo that overlooks the surrounding fields and woods. Time to meditate with the giant crystal in the gazebo can be booked with Kathleen for a fee of $55. We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. Jessie's camp is set in the middle of the hundred back acres. It provides a lovely camping experience in a surround of trees.  Named after my daughter because it is a favorite of the my grownup children to camp here.  The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Dragons Gate Gardens and Wilds has a hundred and twenty acres to explore.  The Skookumchuck River is a little over a mile away where you can explore a waterfall and walk along the river with low bank where one can get into the water. Doing so is a great favorite of our guests. We are wild and woolly. We provide a place to experience nature as it simply is. We privilege pollinators above human aesthetics.  Wildflowers abound, including various dandelions which many are edible and healing plants.  We encourage converting from lawns to meadow lands being supportive of wild birds and insects. The wild animals here are so used to our presence that they often go about their daily life with little concern for us. We are treated to deer and elk wandering through the camping area. Jessie's camp site 4 is one of the largest sites. It can accommodate the larger RVs or a larger group. It's fire ring is larger as well making it great for the group to sit around in the evening. Jessie's camp is set in the middle of the hundred back acres. It provides a lovely camping experience in a surround of trees.  Named after my daughter because it is a favorite of the my grownup children to camp here.  The area has gently rolling hills filled with wildflowers during the earlier part of the Summer. Pitch your tent in the privacy of this quiet wilderness where the elk and the coyote play. This is a wildlife Sanctuary where we do not allow hunting. The wild animals here are so used to our presence that they often go about their daily life with little concern for us. We are treated to deer and elk wandering through the camping area. Get up quietly and you never know who you might see in camp. Each camp site has its own stone circle firepit, with the exception of Site #5 and #6 which have a steel firepit.  The camp is a mile from the front residential area. Peace and Quiet
Site 1 - Jessie's Camp at Dragons Gate
The land is 126.5 acres of quiet bliss. None of our noisy WiFi/5G distractions. Just peace and quiet. The ground is relatively flat, making tent and car camping easier, and our site had a fire pit like many of them do. There is a charming outhouse with nighttime twinkle lights, and for garbage, you pack out every last thread and bottle cap of what you brought in. Children and adults (me!) love to watch the friendly cows near the entrance, then you will be guided to your site by one of the two caretakers, who later gifted us some of these unusual and delicious round cucumbers from their garden. Soo good. How kind of them. DGG is a unique place to find your space, and it’s also the perfect setup for large gatherings of hundreds of people.

We had such a lovely time camping at Kathleen’s property. The sites are large and surrounded by trees and nature. We had a large sit that was big enough for 3 adults and 8 kids and still extra room for more tents. It was so nice to be able to have a campfire with all the kids and Red Dragon supplied large buckets of firewood for $20 a bin that we made excellent use of. We also enjoyed the river spot nearby that was recommended. We’d love to return for another visit next year.

Our whole group enjoyed our stay at Kathleen’s place! Check-in process was smooth and they were available for questions as needed. They even had treats for our doggo! The property is huge and beautiful. I would note you have to leave property entirely to access the river on the paved road, I would not recommend walking. It would have been nice for the outhouse to be better maintained - better smell control and nighttime lighting would have been appreciated. Overall would stay again :)

It’s our 2nd time there and I’m sure we’ll go again. The sites are separate enough for privacy. The property is large so we had some nice walks. The river is close which is beautiful and we went fishing. The host is warm and welcoming.

We loved our long weekend away, in nature, no cell reception. We were told site 4 is a favorite of everyone's, and we can see why! Wonderful views. We were greeted right away and informed of the rules. I do wish the pool was open, but it has been closed since 2020. The yellow jackets can be bothersome. We ate our smoked salmon in the car. But that was just a small annoyance. Would absolutely stay here again!! Our 3 doggos and baby enjoyed it immensely as well :)

We really loved camping here! It's our second time here and the only thing I regret that we didn't discover this place earlier. Fairy Queen and Red Dragon are amazing people! They were so kind to show us around their property and let my daughter to play with their bunnies and see baby cow :) They also offered us some veggies from their garden, it was really sweet and nice gesture! My daughter loves both Fairy Queen and Red Dragon so much and she gets really upset when we have to go home. The campsite itself is very well maintained and kind of secluded which gives you privacy and opportunity to enjoy the nature without other people around. You can purchase a huge bin of wood for just $20 which is amazing deal! No doubts it's our favorite campground and we can't wait to come back here! We love it! Thank you Fairy Queen and Red Dragon for such an amazing weekend! 💞

A truly wonderful place to camp. Owners are gracious, welcoming, and have everything ready for your arrival. We (2 adults, 5 yr old and 2 yr old) picked blackberries, had a campfire, swam in the river, explored walking trails, biked on farm roads, and pet bunnies. We can't wait to come back and highly recommend the site. Their land is huge and there are more or less private sites, depending on if you want to talk to your camp neighbors.

This is our second time here! I love the beautiful open land and the kind hearted hosts here. Our group enjoyed camping, looking at the stars, and even learned some new tricks on starting a fire even in the drizzle! It was nice to have complete unplug from everything, and still be able to go back online or drive into town if we want. We enjoyed walking around and exploring with my dog and will definitely be back again.

Great peaceful place to camp that is close to Seattle but feels far away. We came midweek and had the whole place to ourselves. Kathleen was super friendly and accommodating and we appreciated the cleanliness of the outhouse and easy access to delicious spring water. We explored nearby rivers and Mima Mounds. Fun time in the woods! Thanks Kathleen& family!!

This was our first hipcamp experience and it was great! We were given a friendly welcome and a full rundown of where everything was once we arrived. You could tell how much love and care was put into their land and I really appreciated it. It was setup similar to a campground and the sites were large. We were aware of our neighbors but never felt like we didn't have enough privacy and on the other end of things our friends reserved another spot across from ours and it was easy to go and back and forth between camps. It was very kid friendly and the fire pit and picnic table were appreciated. We had plenty of shade for the extreme heat and really enjoyed the short ride (less than 10 minutes) to the river. When I had booked the camping site I thought for some reason each site would have our own outhouse but it was just one for all campers. Not a huge deal just something to keep in mind. If I were to give any constructive criticism it would be to make the outhouse slightly larger as it is a bit of a tight squeeze especially when kids needed support inside. I wouldn't hesitate to book again based on this. All things considered it fulfilled all of our needs and our group enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Kathleen and her hipcamp spot were great! We booked it rather last minute and were concerned about our dog barking at the wildlife she mentioned, but she assured us as long as he was under control, it would be fine. When we arrived, she led us back to our site where we got settled and purchased some firewood. The 3 of the 4 campsites are relatively close together but tall pines create a sense of privacy. We could hear the other sites chatting/car doors shutting, but it wasn't bad at all. The outhouse was a short walk away and had toilet paper stocked in it which was nice. I liked that our site was a partial sun/shade spot so we got a lot of sun in the morning, but the afternoon was more dappled. She clearly takes a lot of pride in her property and she loves dogs; we highly recommend her!

Love dragons gate and love Kathleen! The spots are nice and private, the farm is beautiful and Kathleen goes above and beyond to make it a special experience. Peaceful, close to the river and perfect for stargazing and escaping cell service for a while.

It's a pretty cool experience and place. Very secluded and did some cool hiking by the river. Our little boys had fun but it was challenging to keep them entertained being 4.5 and 2.5 years old. But it was our first time trying to camp since before they were born! Fairy queen was very helpful and with a full venue there was plenty of privacy and space between sites. Thank you for letting us stay on your beautiful lands. No cell service which is great for camping!

Had a great campsite in a meadow of wildflowers studded with groves of big trees. Very quiet and peaceful. There were other campers nearby but really couldn't see or hear them. There was drinking water nearby and paths were mowed throughout the property for walking trails. Host and hostess both very cordial and offered lots of local info. There isn't reliable internet in the area so be sure to copy the directions down and don't rely on just looking it up. We loved our stay - we'll be back. Also offered my dog great treats!

Aside from being a little confused on where to go when I arrived after hours the host was happy to meet with me and show me to my site. She was very accommodating due to the problem my dog has getting along with other dogs. The site was gorgeous with 360° views of the mountains and trees and I was even able to have firewood delivered to my site thanks MO! All around a great experience and I will be coming again. It's also not too far up the road from the Skookumchuck River that is very accessible

Nestled deep in the woods, the site is secluded and beautifully maintained—super clean, with ample space between sites for a real sense of tranquility. It’s also pet friendly, which made our stay even better—we loved having our furry friend along for all the adventures! Firewood is available—a giant basket for just $15—and it’s delivered right to your spot, which made everything so easy and convenient. The hosts Fairy Queen and Red Dragon were incredible—friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. They allowed us to pick some berries by their house which made for a fun afternoon treat! Plus, our young camper loved the chance to pet bunnies; it was such a heartwarming addition that you don’t find everywhere. If you’re looking for a place to unplug, enjoy nature, bring your pets, and feel truly welcomed, look no further. We left already planning our next return!

It was a beautiful camping area , meadows full of wildflowers and majestic trees and wildlife! Kathleen and her husband were warm and welcoming and very spiritual. We enjoyed our time there so much we will definitely return . I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a truly relaxing quiet getaway. It was lovely. It was also a great spot for people with dogs lots of open space and they were welcomed and had a lot of free space to run around and enjoy being dogs !

This land is special, and the hosts were very welcoming and informative about our site, the land, expectations, etc. It was a good amt of privacy without being completely removed from others also camping there. We loved our stay except for the neighbor's fireworks, which we had a heads up about from the host ahead of time. Recommended!
