Marlee's place is beautiful tucked into a neighborhood that is quiet. The sites were all clean and easy to find. Marlee was easy to communicate with and friendly. It really felt like a campground, because it is a campground!

This place is casual and comfortable! Also, very accomidating- during an especially wet multi-night campout, the host reached out to offer us a fire ring. And they provided wood, kindling and fire starter!! Super customer service! We have been here several times this summer and will be returning again.

I'd reserve again.
Site was clean and not muddy despite the down pour. Hosts were gracious.

Black Bear
The host was not transparent about the surroundings of this campsite. No photos were posted of Black Bear’s “construction zone” view: large piles of debris, heavy machinery, trailers, falling apart sheds, etc. The host stopped responding to messages when I let her know we viewed the site, tried to cancel and would not be staying there. We arrived 2 hrs after checkin. She didn’t respond to a refund request submitted through HipCamp either. I reached out to her again and I received aggressive and unprofessional messages in return. Fortunately, Hipcamp credited my account. If you want to camp in a backyard with a few tall trees while feeling like you’re sleeping at a construction site, you found your place. The host did update the written description of the campground but did not add photos for hipcampers to have an accurate representation/visual of the campground.

Simple, Affordable, Comfortable!
Marlee is a very good host. Her communications are clear and transparent. She was flexible and accommodating (literally haha). The campground and site were clean and the portapotty was clean and well stocked. I have no bad things to say about what Marlee had to offer!
To be clear, this is a good spot if you are traveling and looking for a place to rest your head. It's not a state park with recreational activities and beautiful vistas. Marlee has done a great job setting up a couple spaces to sit and enjoy the trees, but this is a campground in a suburb - the sites are small and the services are minimal. The fees are totally reasonable and the services they do offer are really well managed.
I would 100% recommend to others, and stay again. But I also like making sure people know exactly what to expect. I felt like the description of the site and the photos do a great job of that myself, and at no point was I disappointed with the campground.
This campground is a perfect way to affordably visit Seattle and the region.

Dean’s was a perfect place to spend the weekend and unwind in the forest. Marlee was so kind and thoughtful of our experience even during a thunderstorm. The grounds and facilities were both tidy and easy to find following the instructions.
