This was such a wonderful space to stay in! Safe, clean, quiet. Friendly and accommodating host! Caveat to staying here: you must like dogs and your dog(s) must be very friendly with other dogs. There are 2 dogs who live on the property, both are very sweet. Obi was with us a LOT, but we are dog people, so it was a joy! Great place to see wildlife as well! Tons of American bullfrogs and red eared sliders in the pond, as well as nesting redwing blackbirds. Bring bug spray!

The site worked fine for us. Probably not the best time of year to visit this area, and the owner was unable to be there. He had a very good reason, and the person who filled in for him was conscientious and easy to contact. We were looking for electricity and a heated bathroom, and thatâs what we got. Our night was quiet and the neighbor even stopped over to make sure we had what we needed.

The little pond was super fun to explore. Loved seeing the ducks, frogs, and turtles. The dogs on the property were all super friendly. Itâs a nice little spot and the property owners were super helpful and friendly!

David is great as a host and communicates well and fast. Perfect site for kids to enjoy seeing the animals and playing around the pond and play structure. Would definitely recommend this site.

David is wonderfully nice and a conscientious host. Took a generous amount of time getting me acquainted with his site, answered any questions and made me feel at home, even brought me 1/2 dozen fresh eggs. Chose to use the bathroom in his shop for 5 dollars a day, which is a nice little hike up the hill. Great hot shower to start the day. Firewood, water and power all very convenient at the sight. Medium size pond nearby with very vocal birds and frogs, be prepared for some nature noise!! Great sunrise in the
morning and some nice westerly shade in the evening.

I really appreciated the host's hospitality and the site was well prepared. Heated bathroom was a rockstar and the little pond in front of our site was a total sanctuary with birds, frogs, and turtles. It is my favorite hipcamp site so far.

What a wonderful experience! The location is so peaceful and David is very kind and accommodating. David greeted us with fresh chicken eggs and walked us through everything we needed to know about the property. There is a lot of space for tent camping, established fire pits for each site, firewood on site, and even a full bathroom with toilet and shower! There are also RV hookups, which we did not use and so I can't speak to those. One thing to note that is no reflection on David but is good to be aware of, is that his direct neighbor has posted a large sign threatening gun violence if anything is stolen from his property, which added a level of discomfort. I want to mention that as some may be quite sensitive to that. We felt comfortable once on David's property and would like to return some day!

We loved staying at Davidâs! It was quiet and peaceful. It felt very safe. The RV #2 site was situated right in front of the pond and gave us a nice view. Other campsites were nearby but we were able to park our 2 vehicles in a way that still felt very private. David greeted us when we arrived to give us the lay of the land. He was such a friendly host. A short walk from the campsite there is a bathroom in a heated space (big plus!) that even had a shower. We didnât use the shower but it would be very useful for those with longer stays. We will definitely be coming back here next time we are nearby!

Wonderful host, quiet campground, a little hidden gem in the countryside. The location felt very secluded and safe, and quiet. We were at the RV site #2 situated in front of the pond. Other sites were close by but we were able to park our two vehicles in a way that it still felt private. David greeted us when we arrived to give us the lay of the land. Bathroom is a short walk from campsite and we appreciated that it was a heated space. Even had a shower which we did not use on our short stay, but would be a huge plus for those looking to stay longer. Thank you David for the eggs and for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Davidâs place. Our kids had a blast playing in the pond and enjoying the property. David was very welcoming and accommodating. It was a restful and peaceful campsite. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

I arrived separately from my husband for our weekend camp stay and David was so nice and welcoming. Showed me around the place and even checked in on me twice while I was alone with my dogs. Wonderful place, the pond was nice for my dogs to swim in too! Definitely recommend staying here!

We recently booked site 1 & 2 for two nights in Yakima area. Dave's Hipcamp was a perfect getaway for us and our dog Toast. Dave was a great host and very communicative. We would definitely return on our next trip to Yakima.
Our dog loved the place and being able to run off leash with Obi and Dixie was a bonus.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Daveâs Hipcamp. Our dog Toast especially enjoyed it!!! Had the power and water hookups we needed. Lots of space and we felt it was very private. Dave was a great host and even gifted farm fresh eggs which we had for breakfast. It is an easy drive from Yakima and we would definitely return on our next outing to Yakima. Oh yeah there is a warm bathroom with a shower a short walk from the campsite.

Awesome place to camp. David was there to greet me as I arrived. Everything was in order as listed. Free firewood was a bonus as it did get chilly at night. I felt absolutely safe and comfortable here at Daveâs property.

Loved having a choice of siting! Wide open skies. Vociferous bullfrogs. So many birds. A lovely tree-covered walk beside the pond. Just wonderful!!

Big spot to park. Lots of acreage to ride bikes and play with your kids. Thereâs a pond on the property with frogs and the occasional duck flock. Very nice couple with a very friendly dog who will play with other dogs and loves kids! We will definitely come back to Cottonwood Country Camp!

David was a spectacular host and canât sing his praises enough. We decided last minute after a long day of wine tasting in Yakima to van camp and needed secure accommodations so we landed at Cottonwood Country Camp and from the moment we checked in David made us felt welcome and set up for success. It was exactly what we needed and we even got to pick out a few eggs from Daviâd chickens!
