I stayed in a vintage camp trailer, which offered great privacy and a roof over my head while still being somewhat rustic. I absolutely loved the mix of flowers and edible plants.

Great spot on a very cool farm. Kateen was a wonderful host. The communal kitchen was a great bonus - so nice to not need a camp stove and to not need to bring any dishes or pans. Kitchen had everything we needed. So much to explore on the farm. About a half hour from downtown Port Townsend and Fort Worsen.

The farm was a wonderful world filled with faerie forts, labrynths, and thresholds. Rustic, charming, and comfortable, it was a property ready to explore and feel like you’re away from the hum drum of life.

Very kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable hosts! Around any corner you might encounter big beautiful friendly doggies, turkeys, ducks, sheep, and fellow campers. The communal aspects of the farm are lovely - was invited to share fresh-made salsa & guac, build your own herbal tea, and u-pick Marion-berries and rhubarb (which I made into a crisp in the shared kitchen). Don’t forget to bring your knitting needles, because you will not be able to resist the soft natural-dyed yarn on offer. There are labyrinths to walk and woods to explore.

Breathtakingly beautiful stay!

Absolutely gorgeous property with a wonderful layout. Everything here is intentional and thoughtful and it shows. Kateen and her husband are delightful, and the dogs are just precious and hard working!! I cannot stress enough the breathtaking beauty of this place. I could go on and on about the outdoor shower, the community kitchen, the bathhouse, and garden.. everything! The Round House’s ceiling was mesmerizing to fall asleep to. We will definitely return, with a better idea of community living and living off the land. 💜

Fairyland

The place is full of magic, and a connection with nature is very deep. It felt like I was in a fairyland. Kateen, the host, is a wise woman, and the tour she gave us of the property was delightful. The buildings around the main house are beautiful; you can tell the love and care that have been put into the land, with the gorgeous gardens and ancient trees. My partner and I stayed in the round house, which felt like being in a grandma's house full of beautiful details. I would recommended 100%.

Compass Rose is beautiful. I stayed in a car-camping spot for one night - and I happened to be the only car camper that night, with the vintage trailers one side and open spaces on the other, so it felt quite private. The communal spaces were a really nice surprise— I enjoyed getting to hang in a hammock and have some tea (from the garden!) before bed. Would absolutely return!

This property is certainly sweet and idyllic, and the host's daughter was very kind when giving us our tour, but I don't think I would ever stay here again or recommend my friends or family to stay here after my experience. It really came down to what was advertised vs. what I experienced, and the most problematic was the porta potties. They had not been serviced in over a month at the time of my stay, and I could not bring myself to use them given what was visible inside. The porta potties themselves were clean--but they NEEDED to be serviced and emptied. I stayed in the round cabin, and it is similarly sweet and idyllic, but I wasn't certain of the last time it was cleaned. There were rodent droppings on the night table and cobwebs everywhere (the cobwebs weren't really an issue, mostly the droppings). The windows don't open in there either, so any fresh air needs to come from the front door being open. Everything else was fine and its a nice property. Quiet! For reference, I am an experienced backcountry camper and backpacker. If I had to use the bathroom outside, that would have been no problem. I did not get the impression that was an option. For $100 a night (not including fees) I would expect a regularly serviced porta potty and a cabin with no rodent poop. I don't leave this review to be unkind. I believe that the hosts are kind people. But I would opt for tent camping with wag bags if I were to ever stay here again.

Cotton Cabin

Great sized Cotton Cabin, the property was beautiful and in a great location. I will say that it got pretty chilly the night we stayed and blankets were not enough to keep us warm, so depending on the time of year, warm sleeping bags may be in order. The cabin is not heated and has no power, which we knew, but the temps dipped into the 40s which made our blankets less useful. The overall set up of the farm is gorgeous. There i so much to see. The communal kitchen is amazing. There's a firepit, the garden is beautiful. There are plenty of amenities. It's also a quick ride to Sequim to see the Lavender farms.

This place is truly magical and offers so much to experience. There are plenty of plants and fruits that guests can pick and enjoy, which makes the stay feel very special and connected to nature. The property is beautifully maintained with a strong focus on ecology and sustainability. I loved the common kitchen area, which creates a wonderful space for people to come together and connect. Overall, it was a truly lovely and memorable experience, and I would highly recommend staying here.

Maple Tenting site

Incredible place to stay. Kateen was very kind and showed us around, the property is very well maintained, and you have the option of total privacy or hanging out with whoever is there. The library and tea room, the outdoor shower, the sprawling garden, and the awesome options for cooking for yourself or traveling to nearby port Townsend really made this a very special trip for us. You can tell they really care! We slept at the maple tent site with our very large tent. Overall I’d give this place 5 stars and would love to stay there again.

A Sanctuary Filled With Nourishment

Kateen and Co. are a source of inspiration for anyone desiring to create harmony with the land. The space is carefully curated to hold simple visitors, permaculturists, nature-lovers, and anyone just needing a reset amongst the blooming garden and sacred forest. There are numerous places to find quiet and connection within, or to venture about the garden and play with the many creatures (two-legged, four-legged, winged). It was the perfect place to get work done as a mountain man entrepreneur, and to learn from the many passers-by. I recommend this sanctuary of a place to anyone desiring to learn more about themselves, the land, and our relationship of reciprocity to it.

Unforgettable farm stay!

Such a beautiful farm and Kateen was so welcoming. She toured us around and made us feel right at home. So many unique and special places to explore and animals to see on walks around the property. The kitchen was well equipped. We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Magical farm stay

The place is magical . Absolutely insanely beautiful lush gardens and veggies patches. Property is big and perfect to unwind and meditate ( love that prayer bell ) Beautiful very clean and cozy kitchen area . Camping area is great too. I did not used the tent pad, but there are 3 and well spread out . I did use van porking. What came as a bit of surprise is how close all 3 van porking spots are. I slept in my car , but I don’t see 3 van parking there comfortably and using awning? little mat etc I had that spot for my self tho and was lucky . That is the only thing I could think of as inconvenience. Wouldn’t like to he put in such tight quarters. Great communication with host . I wish I had more time to stay . It’s totally worth every second .

Peaceful & sweet - this farm has magic as it’s doing all the right things! Community, private cozy spaces to relax, beautiful views & a great community kitchen to make your food ! The gardens were inspiring as were the owners and pets! Will definitely return.

Kateen had a really great setup at her farm. My kids loved over exploring the trails around the place and completing the mindfulness labyrinths on the property. The amenities were great from the shower house, to the communal kitchen and lounge areas. We were even able to take in the evening stars on the moon deck.

Delightful well maintained and very thoughtfully designed farm + campsite with modern amenities, a variety of trails and places to relax. an awesome little library and a very cool thoughtful host. Easily the best hipcamp I’ve been to and I’ve been to many along the west coast.

I was extremely impressed with Kateen's land and really appreciated the initial tour which was very helpful. The property offers something for everyone and everything was so well thought out intentional. The night was extremely quiet and I slept well within the serenity of the surrounding beauty.
