Second time staying in Green Bean and loved it, the bed in this camper is one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The camp is well kept and the string lights gives it a nice ambiance. I love that they have 2 firepits too, great for roasting smores.

Camp Moxy Jo's was perfect for my vintage loving heart! The camper was so cute and ammenities were perfect. Hot shower, and restrooms were clean. Amenities had every perfect touch imaginable. And its so close to tacoma and olympia. A perfect place to stay.

Joanna’s place was so amazing! We loved the whole vibe and the camper was so unique! It even has a cute little bunk for kids with a back door for them to crawl in and out of. The goats, campfires, shelters and communal spaces made for a really fun time and we made new friends. We can’t wait to camp there again!!!

Upon arriving, we met Jo, the operator and owner! She is so helpful, fully engaged, and kind.
The property is quite big with so many fun and creative touches. Like the hand paint wall, little fruit garden, a tiki room, an outdoor living room/kitchen, and The Pit Stop which is an outdoor kitchette, self help station, and on the back side has two bathrooms- one complete with a walk in shower. The bathrooms and spaces outside of your camper is shared among other campers.
We rented the family camper- The Coastal for our family of 5. Two adults, twin 12 yr olds, and our 7 yr old. We brought our tent and sleeping bags for the twins to sleep in outside. Each area has a shelter over it to keep elements off of you. Each area also has an outdoor seating area and tables. I'm glad we brought the tent, bc it gave us the extended space we needed. There was also electricity and running water inside the camper. Jo also has tons of bedding, soaps, & towels for you!
Jo was very kind to allow my boys to invade her garage that had so many arts and crafts. Each of my kids said besides the goats, their favorite thing was the paint wall and the calligraphy garage!
The only cons were the neighbors dog barking throughout the day, but thats not something that is Jo's fault. We did come during 4th of July, so surrounding neighbors were shooting off fireworks well after midnight.

such a cute place! i can’t believe i found this spot. i love how many nature spots and parks are close by and i love that i didn’t have to drive too far to get here. will definitely be back!

Such a fun spot! Jo was lovely and gave us a tour of the place, and she’s clearly put a lot of thought and love into the entire campsite. Our toddler absolutely loved running around the property and feeding the goats (almost as much as I did 😆). We slept in the Coastal camper and it was comfy with ample room for myself, my husband and our son. We spent a lot of time in the rainy day shelter (even though it was sunny most of the time!) just hanging out and playing games. Definitely worth a visit if you’re passing through Tacoma area!

Wonderful private camp, the accommodations were great. Perfect for a group camping trip, family reunion or wedding. Am looking forward to returning during the spring or summer to experience community camping. Couldn’t ask for a better site for this than Camp Moxy Joe’s! Take time to visit with the camp host Joanna, lovely people.
Last tip, commune with the goats.

The campground has a wonderful 70s vibe and our trailer was clean and cozy, with everything we could possibly need stocked in the cupboards. We will stay again if we are in the area.

We loved staying here! The atmosphere was so nice. Everything was so well decorated and you could absolutely tell it was all a labor of love. We actually cancelled some other plans to stay in and enjoy the space.
It was clean and well kept. It had nice bathrooms, a kitchen and multiple fire pits, a lawn to play games on and every site was so adorable.
We absolutely loved staying here!

This place is such a gem! I stayed here on my way from Portland to Seattle and it was easy to access, while also feeling out in nature! The hosts are welcoming and lovely. So much careful thought put into every detail of this place to make it special - the vintage nostalgia is off the charts - pure eye candy! The rainy day shelter is super cozy with a fireplace, a well-stocked kitchen, games, funky artwork, and all the atmospheric vibes. The bathrooms were very clean with a fun vintage twist! The grounds are conducive for hanging with family or friends - volleyball net, games, hang out spots, tables, fire pits, outdoor kitchens, grill, etc. - or cozying up to the fire with a good book. I felt like I had my privacy and would highly recommend a stay here. It's really a unique and fun experience - magical, even!

Joanna and Sanjay were incredible hosts and have put so much thought into creating such an amazing and welcoming space and experience. The trailer itself was well-appointed and comfortable, as were the shared spaces. We came with our two kids and we all loved it! We loved playing games in the rainy day shelter even with beautiful weather and the goats were a huge hit with the kids. We only had one night but hope to be back in the future for a longer stay. We’ve stayed at quite a few hip camps but will remember this as one of our favorites. Highly, highly recommended!!

This spot is AMAZING, I couldn’t believe how serene it was considering you are not far away from home.
Hanging around the fire pit with fiends was fantastic you really feel like you’re out camping. The hosts were so friendly, they clearly take pride in what they do here.
Smooth Sally was super comfy, so much so I didn’t want to get out of bed!!
I absolutely love the fact they have real bathrooms, one even has a shower (and heated floors) they have really gone above and beyond. I can’t wait to come back and stay an extra day or two, I was definitely not ready to leave.
Oh and they have goats, they are SO CUTE!!!!!!

We loved it! My fiancé and I tried our first overnighter. The place is spectacular; a fun energy and well thought out. The camper (Green Bean) feels private and had its own little private seating area.
My fiancé is not a camper, so this was the perfect happy medium between "roughing it" and having all the creature comforts that he likes. From my perspective, it was just as affordable than my typical camping trip. All we needed was to get some snacks, drinks, and meals from the grocery on the way there and we were set! This was a huge bonus since every time I go camping, I swear I am going to the store a few times for things I missed when packing.
There’s a ton of space on the property to play games and chill out. We built a fire in one of the fire pits and made smores after we BBQ'd dinner. There is another fantastic-looking fireplace inside the Rainy Day Shelter, which we didn’t need since the weather was so nice. But, I could see it being a lovely hang out space when the weather isn’t as cooperative. The shelter also made for easy food prep, coffee making, and listening to vinyl, which we did in the morning.
The hosts are extremely gracious and helpful. And the goats are so friendly and adorable! After this experience, I plan on booking the whole place out with my relatives for our annual family camp trip. My mom is getting older and they have an AirBnb on-site, so she can still participate in the camp trip with the preferred hotel-like comforts. Thank you!

This is such a special place! I feel like I truly reconnected with my inner child here. The whole site is so thoughtfully laid out with clean amenities and eclectic and decor. I’m already planning to come back again!

Amazing place to stay!!! Each rv/van is nicely spaced out were you feel like you have your own space. Huge. Open area for your kids to play! Awesome fire pit to hang out and roast s’mores! The rainy day shelter is a perfect place to just unwind and relax enjoy a nice puzzle with the family which, is what we did! I would stay here again in a heartbeat! Even though u are close to everything this place makes you feel like you aren’t at all! Absolutely loved it!

Our family really enjoyed staying at the camp. We had plenty of room to spread out and have a good time. It rained a little on Saturday morning so we took advantage of the rainy day shelter. The host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and we made great friends with the goats. We’ll book again!
