Site 5: first come, first served
Don was a wonderful host. Shared local spots and all the details about the site.
The site lived up to it's name. We saw a blue heron, bald eagles, hawks, ravens, hummingbirds, green herons, and a beaver parents with their 6 babies.
Sites were properly spaced. Felt like we had the privacy and space we needed. Bathrooms were spaced well too. The fire pits were great! We cooked on them with the firewood we bought from Don.
Overall, great hosts, chill vibe and fun spot for a getaway to relax.

Don and his property were fantastic. Our large group, with a few extra cars beyond the max capacity, had an amazing weekend stay. Don was incredibly accommodating and even shared fresh tomatoes from his garden. Highly recommend—10/10!

Beautiful site with friendly host
Quick summary: We would highly recommend this location to anyone!!
Details: Our trip to Camp Birdwatch was wonderful! When I booked the site, Don, the host, was quick in responding to our questions and flexible with our needs for extra cars. He even realized I had paid for more than I needed to ensure I did not overpay for our stay.
Upon arrival, we were able to find the spots ver easily and found the spot that worked for our group. Parking was easy and there were several flat areas for our tents.
A few hours after arrival, Don zoomed up on his ATV to make sure we were settled and shared wonderful suggestions of things to do in the area including a beautiful hike.
We did see one small tic around the first day, but did not see any others but made sure to be aware of our legs and arms for the rest of the trip. The mosquitos came out in the evenings so we all left with several bites but they were all worth the trip.
We drove an hour west to the coast, West Port, following a suggestion by Don and had a wonderful overcast beach day.
I would highly recommend this location to anyone!

Tomatoes! 😍
What an amazing experience! Don’s land is beautiful, peaceful and spacious. Our two bunnies enjoyed the vegetation and our frenchie the walk by the water. Easy pull through for trailers! The birds on the water was our favorite part! And his homegrown tomatoes were delicious! 10/10!! 😍

Amazing !
Don and Sharol were the best host EVER! We went camping without knowing a thunderstorm was gonna happen, we had our tent all wet but Don came to rescue us with my girlfriends and offered a warm and cozy room in his house, they even Offered drinks and board games to still enjoy our night! highly recommended ✨
They have goats in the campground, some swings and a very nice garden with blackberries, plums and cherry tomatoes, which they let us pick from the trees
