Beautiful water views of the river, truly one of the nicest places on the skykomish river large old-growth trees, very green. Very calm and quiet salmon In the river eagles in trees. Owls at certain times of the year. Beautiful Deck overhang on the river large fire pit with three person stones the deck and fire pit is for everyone. A Grove of large redwood trees surrounded the fire pit. Steelhead and salmon fishing in the river and has a large gravel bar with huge back cast for fly fishing. Dog are allowed. There is a propane bbq and music at the deck area. There is a bathroom with flush toilet. Yes a flush toilet Why drive a long way with traffic and gas cost. This is within 30 miles of seattle,everret,and Bellevue. No crowds.

Best stay for a weekend of climbing

Very welcoming and accommodating host! We had a wonderful and comfortable stay in a beautiful setting near the river. The bathrooms were clean, there was a cool sitting area with a firepit and speaker system, and communication went very smoothly with Rod. Thanks again for the stay!

Beautiful Riverside Camping Getaway

We recently stayed at this beautiful camping spot and had a great time! The location is absolutely stunning, with a serene river nearby that provides the perfect soundtrack as you fall asleep. One of the best perks is that dogs can be off-leash, which made our pup's experience just as enjoyable as ours. The campsite has a bathroom, which is a big plus, though there isn't a sink with running water, so be prepared for that. Our particular site was a bit smaller and closer to the communal area than we'd hoped, especially considering the price. Also, while the river is nearby, access isn't the easiest, especially if you're trying to carry gear down with you. That said, the spot is in close proximity to a lot of other great areas, making it a solid choice for a peaceful getaway. Despite a few drawbacks, we still had a wonderful time and would recommend this campsite for anyone looking to enjoy nature's beauty!

Rod had a BBQ to use and a deck with glorious views of the river. Such a peaceful setting with an occasional train rolling through!

Excellent view of the river

Beautiful setting with a stellar view of the river. There’s a wooden deck with a table and chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Flush toilet was a plus! Rob was a gracious host. Decided to stay an extra night because it was such a great experience.

Stunning riverfront camping

This place is a gem! You’re right on the river camping underneath a beautiful forest. Rod has done a lot to make this set up really convenient and comfortable while still preserving the natural ecosystem. He’s a great dude and was so helpful with showing us around! Very pet friendly as well which we so appreciated!
