Although we are less than 5 minutes away from the Clinton Ferry terminal, it feels worlds away. The site is fairly secluded, the main house is not visible. Walk to the beach or stroll some of the trails on the property- this listing has a bit of everything. We had a lovely time at this campsite. It’s down a trail in the woods behind the host’s house. Private and spacious area to roam around. Our huge tent didn’t fit on the platform, but there was a nearby spot that worked. The host helped haul our stuff down to the site. We made the walk to the nearby beach twice and also checked out the Earth Sanctuary which is fairly nearby. It’s super close to the ferry terminal which made for an easy trip back home.

Camp site in Big Country
The campsite was absolutely perfect! The hosts were gracious, communicative, and so very friendly. Do yourself a favor and give them a shot. At the time of this review, the property is a work in progress, with two other campsites and an outhouse in development. There is some serious potential here! Nevertheless, the one and only available campsite we started at was just fantastic for my partner and me for two nights. We had plenty of privacy and felt very much in tune with our surrounding. We'll definitely be back! Do bear in mind that you aren't so far from civilization that you won't hear the occasional power tool, helicopter, or plane. Keep these things in mind and you won't be disappointed.

Great stay!
It was great staying here! The hosts were friendly and communicative online and in person, the campsite felt secluded enough even though we were close to the host’s home. We especially appreciated the tent platform. Would recommend!

Responsive host, nice set up- it was nice having the 10x10ft height platform to keep the tent clean and dry. Having a port-a-potty was a nice feature. The only downside is bc if some Work they are doing you can’t drive up to the site and need to carry gear in but I believe that’s temporary. Would definitely camp here again.
