Beach Camp - Long Beach Peninsula

This spot was so lame. It was overpriced for no water, electric or sewer. My fault for not reading the listing well enough but we could’ve gotten a full hookup RV site for less. It was basically an open grassy area with a picnic table and fire ring (ours was overgrown with grass). There was a nasty port a John but luckily we didn’t need it.

This was a surprisingly spacious spot. Flat parking, lots of privacy, without being too far from everything we wanted to do. Portable toilet was clean and stocked. We'll definitely be back in the future.

Great camp site 🏕️

Great experience. We went Sunday-Tuesday so we had the whole campground to ourselves. Even the other side that’s not hosted by this person. The lot is split in half with two owners both found on Hipcamp. Had a fire pit, porta-potty, a private gate entrance, very clean, edged with tall beautiful evergreens, trails around the camp site, wildlife all around. We saw deer cross through the campsite Monday night. You do have to bring your own water. There is no water on site. We found free water at pioneer market in Long Beach. (Jacks country store does not help with water from a spigot) You can’t walk to the beach, it says it’s a 1/4 mile but we did not find any beach walking distance. The closest was a 8 min drive(3 miles). The camp spot is on grass but there are gopher heads that kept getting on my daughter’s foot (1 yr old, so it’s a big deal 😂), riddled along the drive way and edges of campsite. Have to wear shoes all the time to be safe and I’m glad I didn’t take my dog. It would have been a hassle. Other that that, the campsite is a 4 out of 5 in my opinion. No Water, gophers heads, and the misleading about the beach is why it didn’t get 5.

Great place for a stop. Sites 1-3 are large enough for groups. The provided outhouse is clean, and well maintained. It is a nice quiet spot for families. Not far from there is Pacific Pines State Park. It's a nice change from Long Beach. More remote so you can spread out some. Dog owners: Great spot, but look carefully at their paws and fur. Somewhere nearby we picked up puncture vine seeds in our vehicle tires. I don't know where exactly. We looked carefully around in the gravel and saw a couple, but nothing in campsite 3 where we stayed.

Great, quiet and safe camping spot

I loved staying at this camping spot. It’s about 2.3 miles from drive on beach access. It was quiet, clean and had lots of space for each of the sites. It’s in a very safe neighborhood and easy to find. Only downside I would say is it has a lot of thorns (goatheads), so watch your feet and your dogs feet. But all in all I would recommend if you like staying where it’s uncrowded and have lots of room to spread out.

A basic campsite set in a clearing in the woods. Peaceful and quiet with visits by deer evening and morning. Beautiful beach nearby. There is also a wooden boardwalk through the dunes but didn't find out about it until we left. Next time!

Convenient camp and it was pretty clean. The area around the outhouse had loose toilet paper around it and that was off-putting, but the outhouse it's self was clean. Seeing deer in camp each morning was 👍

Great oasis near the beach.

This is private, set back and great for groups to hang out. The hosts are wonderful and you get to see deer every morning if you are quiet come through the camp , we usually see at least two every time. There are bear, but we have never seen them in person only their evidence. There are a ton of stickers so you must where shoes always but if the grass is mowed more often it wouldn’t be so bad.

The fact that we were the only ones out there was nice, but it was just too far of a drive back n forth to astoria where we were partaking in weekend events. The site itself was great. Spacious. We were not prepared for the cold humid weather. So froze at night in our tent and bedding got wet. There's a Porta potty on site, but it was super full and full of bugs.

I'll admit I should have done more research myself when I booked. The sites are split between 2 property owners, East and West with the west side belonging to this host. I originally booked this site because I was trying to avoid the RV park feel with wide open spaces and no privacy. Sadly I didn't get that here. It's ok it's on me, just not what I was looking for so I didn't end up staying the 2 nights I booked. Porta potty hasn't been serviced in a while as well lotsa spiders and bugs around had to take a few of em out before they fell on my head. Read the other reviews to get a general idea what this place is and what it offers. If you've stayed anywhere from Ilwaco to Hines it's pretty much the same just a more private entrance.

The camp and all the sites were clean and spacious, and is tucked in a forest clearing, there are no houses nearby, it had a quiet, secluded feel. Unfortunately a large, buzzing cell tower is adjacent to the camp.

Best place we’ve ever camped!!

We loved this camp. It’s secluded with all the trees surrounding it. We were the only ones there. We had a fire every night and the stars were unobstructed by lights. The bathroom was very clean. It would be a great place for a family reunion. We are already talking about when we could return there.

Was a busy weekend with the rod run going on but loved the outta the way space ! She even allowed for a late check out when I poorly managed my trip and a fishing trip my husband made and was gracious ! Would def recommend and come again !

My wife and I camped in site #1, which was perfect for tent camping. The campsite was clearly marked, had a picnic table, fore ring and was well kept. Shelly was a great host, very accomodating and quickly replied to messages. Looking forward to future trips to this site PSA- If you are an RV camper, please be respectful of others if/when running your generator.

Quiet little gem in Ocean Park

Shelly was really nice and helpful. The site itself was easy to find and clearly marked. We were in site 2 and it was more than enough room for our fifth wheel. We loved how quiet it was there and that it was walking distance to the golf course. My only suggestion to the owner is to trim back the trees/bushes from the entrance. Our trailer is pretty wide & the branches scraped along the side of our trailer.

Overall this was not my favorite site I’ve stayed at. There were both positives and negatives in my opinion. Positives: - It’s nice if you’re someone that likes easy access and no in-person contact with the property owner, which makes it drama free. - The porta-potty was clean and there was a light in there for night time usage. - There was also two fire pits in our site, one on the ground and one raised BBQ (not in all sites). Negatives: - With no one monitoring the site, another camper had stolen our picnic table from our site so we had no table the whole weekend, even though it said we would have one. This was frustrating for us as we had lots of food we wanted off the wet ground and we wanted somewhere to sit. - It’s NOT private whatsoever. There are several other sites and the only thing dividing us is some thin rope. If you want privacy, this site isn’t for you. - To dog owners and people who enjoy being barefoot - skip this site. There are a lot of crunchies and spikey plants on the ground that burrow into your feet and your dogs. I had to pick my dog up several times to pull out thorns. I wouldn’t say this is the fault of the property owner, but it’s just not ideal for dog owners or barefoot lovers.

Very nice and secluded. Outhouse was very clean. Directions were clear. I'm just so thankful we found this because all other campgrounds you need reservations for way ahead of time and we weren't planning on stopping but needed a place to stay. This worked out well, and I will be checking out other sites as well.
