Paige and Hugh were extremely accomadating and answered all of our questions about the surrounding area. Their campsites are nestles in the woods giving great privacy and a real "in the woods" camping experience. I highly recommend their campsites and we will be visiting them again when we camp in that area next year!

I love this place: the land, the people and the animals. There are sheep, goats, dogs, cats and chickens. I was able to choose my tent site out of several ranging from shady and wooded to more open. Fresh eggs was a great treat. Don’t forget to order eggs! Long Beach is a short drive away, and some really nice state parks and nature reserves. Highly recommended and very relaxing which was what I was looking for.

Really nice place. Paige and Hugh were very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed fresh eggs from the farm. The page is close to many beaches and parks, would gladly stay again!

We enjoyed our stay in Bay Center! Our favorite part was getting to meet some of Paige's animals, including cats, turkeys, goats and a lot more. The location is about 45+ minutes away from Long Beach, and maybe 15-20 minutes from South Bend. The area was foggy/smokey when we visited but I think the views would be amazing otherwise. South Bend is a super cute town, we visited a coffee shop and a German food store. Paige was a very nice host, and consistent and quick communicator. The one con about this site was the animal noises late at night. The first night, the rooster started his call super early (like maybe 2 or 3am?) and didn't stop for a long time. The second night, a dog (not sure if it was theirs or a neighbor's) barked for a few hours and then the rooster started in (but stopped after a few minutes). Ear plugs or headphones might be a good idea, particularly if you are a light sleeper. Overall, really enjoyed our time in the oyster capital of the world!

Paige was very kind. We loved seeing the animals on the property and it was easy to socially distance with the few other camp sites on the property. It’s a very basic campsite with access to bathrooms but no showers. Thanks Paige!!

Bay Center Sacred Forest Retreat
We had a wonderful time staying here. The animals were so much fun! Chickens, goats, turkeys (!!), dogs, cats, ducks... the kids had the time of their life! Paige was a wonderful host, friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were clean and we had a nice fire at the communal fire pit. Definitely nicer and more private than a state park campground. You can see the ocean from the farm, and the star gazing was incredible. We are hoping to visit again!

Paige was absolutely accommodating as our arrival time changed a couple times. When we finally arrived Paige was ready to go and explained to us our site and all the available amenities. It was truly private and magical to stay back in the forest next to their home. Thanks, Paige!

The property has lots of potentials. Can’t wait to come back to see the progress & what they’d do with the land. Paige was very hospitable. Hugh made us feel safe and Angela was super! Even their husky, Chloe was very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay & will definitely come back again.

Secluded, large site, central to short wooded trails , with a good amount of space to put up your gear. Our setup was a three person tent, hammock, and portable table (provided by Paige). Lots of places to hang hammocks. Paige welcomed us warmly and had great recommendations for local sights and things to do.
Bearded moss trees!
Impressively dark as soon as the sun goes down; headlamps a must.
Lots of wildlife noises.
Mushrooms!
So many cats and dogs to pet, as well as turkeys, chickens, and goats to see and feed. In and around the site we saw frogs, jumbo slugs, stellar jays, and an owl.
Facilities on site were plentiful, the closest being a porta-potty that was close enough for emergencies but far enough to not be bothered by others using it.
Next time we’re in the area this will definitely be our first choice.

Paige, Hugh and Estevan were incredible hosts. The kids were elated at being able to help with the farm animals and ride their bikes for hours. Our site was nestled in a beautiful forest and the quick haunt to the show was perfect. We absolutely will return if we can! Local oysters and clams were terrific. Fresh eggs a great touch. They're slowly designing the space with intention and love, and it's something really special.

The camp host Paige is beyond kind and creates a super welcoming environment. She was so sweet with our kids and even found jobs for our teenager to help out with the animals around the farm. The property is quite large and there are some campsites in the forest and some in the fields. The property is definitely a work in progress so expect some debris (a large burn pile awaiting the end of burn prohibition) and equipment around but nothing that impacted our enjoyment. The farm is just a few minutes (by car) down the road from a tidal flat beach with lots of clamming.

Beautiful camp spot on Willapia Bay, so close to the Washington Coast. The hosts were extremely welcoming and their livestock were a blast to watch. Deer may walk by your site as they did ours as you are in quiet solitude with little more than the sounds of native birds, frogs and occasionally the sound of the host’s chickens, turkeys, ducks, goats and sheep. Take a chair out to the open air deck to see the stars with almost no light pollution. Definitely opt for the fresh eggs and do consider either clamming or picking up fresh manila clams or local oysters from Seasonal Seafood or the like. Conveniently located down the street from a KOA with a mini mart and plenty of ice. Will definitely go again and see what the hosts do with the site over the years!

Paige’s farm and campsite was an absolute dream! The hosts are very laid back but available, and our site in the woods was so beautiful and peaceful. We had excellent star gazing and bought fresh eggs in the morning!

This was my first time using Hip Camp and my first time camping solo. The property, Paige and Hugh were absolutely wonderful! I was in Site 1 - large fire pit, plenty of space for my car, and tucked away enough for privacy. Only one other site was used besides mine and things were quiet and respectful when we weren’t in a community/group setting. Paige goes above and beyond for guests and you know she puts a lot of love into her space and ensuring folks have a great experience!

Bay Center Sacred Forest Retreat
We had 7 people staying here and we had more than enough room to spread out. We had campsite 1 which was based near the entrance of the forest on the property. The forest was so magical and beautiful! Paige was a very friendly, responsive, and helpful. She met us when we arrived and showed us to our spot. She has lots of animals on the property- but this means fresh eggs are available to purchase! We will definitely be coming back here again.

Paige was a wonderful host to our party! She immediately showed us around the property and pointed out several great camping spots, as well as a helpful map of places of interest. Although we weren't able to use the communal fire due to a fire watch, it made the stargazing better in the evenings! The facilities onsite were very well kept. We enjoyed talking with Paige and really enjoyed the fresh eggs she was able to provide us!

We had a really great time staying on Paige’s property. She gave us a tour when we got there and was very helpful. The site itself was really big, had great spots for tents, and had a lovely view of the sunset through the trees. There are nice, uncrowded beaches nearby and the area in general was beautiful.

If you have been stuck in the city too long and need a reminder that humanity and nature still exist, come to this small working farm. It is off the beaten path on Willapa Bay and not far from Long Beach. When you first drive in you’ll be surrounded by farm equipment, but just past the chickens and goats is a wide open meadow and several acres if woods. Paige is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet and a great host along with Hugh & Estephan. We had a great experience and would definitely come back.

Paige was wonderful and the site was very pretty. There are so many animals here. Lots of dogs cats and barn animals. We woke in the morning to crowing roosters! Very clean bathrooms! Perfect hammock spots! The only things that could have made it better was a picnic table and a fire. Loved it!

We had a wonderful stay at Bay Center Sacred Forest Camp. Paige welcomed us when we arrived and gave us a lay of the land. We have a 4-Runner with our tent on top and all but one of the spots looked like it would work for that set up. She actually offered up letting us explore the property and setting up camp wherever we thought looked good. In the end, we set up where she had originally thought might be a good spot.
The communal fire was a lovely touch where all of the campers discussed their adventures of the day.
The location was close enough to Long Beach and other parks to use a jumping off point.
All in all, we had a very relaxing weekend. The only thing to be aware of is that this is a farm with animals. The roosters do let you know it is morning and the goats make whatever noise goats make. Wasn't a problem at all for us, but just wanted to point that out if that isn't someone's cup of tea.
Finally, definitely get the eggs. We ended up getting a dozen and brought them home and made fresh pasta with them.

Bay Center Sacred Forest Retreat
We had a great time at our weekend in Bay Center. Paige and family were very welcoming and friendly, and the site was great. We camped two nights here and explored Astoria, OR and the beaches along the coast. We'd definitely camp here again!

Paige and Hugh are amazing hosts, very welcoming, considerate and generous. Our forest camp site was perfect for camping with dogs and Paige gave us several options for where to set up camp. We went with a site deeper in the forest and enjoyed the serene atmosphere along and walking trails for the dogs to explore. Sitting around the campfire with Paige and Hugh was a fun way to end the day, we felt safe and well taken care of through out our stay.

Bay Center Sacred Forest Retreat
Paige and Hugh are great! Very welcoming. Paige gave a little tour of the grounds when we got in. They have lots of animals- cats, dogs, goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys! There are about six campsites. Some are exposed and are close to the "farm". But others, like ours, are in the pine forest that is the back portion of their property. We loved our site, but were also very glad we were in the forest and not in a different site that was close to the house and exposed to the sun.
There are two toilets, one in a barn and on in an RV, both with sinks. They have a water spigot next to the RV too. Trash is pack out.
The group campfire was great at night. All campers were in their 20's/30's and Paige and Hugh also enjoyed the fire with us. We swapped stories, and drank, and shared in some freshly caught clams. It was wonderful! Highly recommend.
Things to do in the area: fishing, clamming, beach time on Long Beach, hiking or biking in Cape Disappointment State Park, explore Astoria.

Paige and Hugh were absolutely lovely, warm people. Very welcoming and accommodating and genuinely kind souls. Our group of 4 (two tents) fit perfectly, nestled back into the woods and had plenty of privacy. Nights by the campfire with other campers and our hosts were the perfect end to each day. The RV bathroom was always clean and easy to access and (if you can catch a clear night) the stars on the property are incredible. You could see the Milky Way both nights! High recommend to anyone looking to get out of the city for a bit.
