Baker Lake Downhill is a big open property that's great for star gazing, excellent artesian well water, and lots of room for your dog to run around. The location of this property is one of only a few that is actually on Baker Lake Road.  The surrounding mountains turn epic in the evenings. The North Cascades National park is 30 minutes away and Baker Lake is 20 minutes away. It's nice not having to deal with busy, HWY 20 if your planning on just exploring up Baker Lake Rd. It's up on a plateau which allows for some nice views of the surrounding mountains. The driveway was once an access to logging roads that go way back behind the property. This makes for endless options as far as walks and bike rides go.

Site 1 - Skagit river camping.
It was great camping at Talyor’s land. Beautiful river view from the site, very private and there are tons of spaces. Bathroom was super clean and enjoyed hot water as well. Will come back again!

I was just passing through and needed a place to stay. Taylor was very kind and offered me a yurt which hadn’t been what I reserved but I was so grateful bc it was actually quite cold and there was a heater and a lot of blankets. I came in after dark and left before dawn but I could tell it was a lovely location still. He was great at communicating and I really appreciated his offering the yurt to me at no extra charge. Thanks so much!

River spots are nice but #’s on sites would be awesome, lots of confusion on which site to set up in upon arrival. Host is very responsive but Labor Day was a giant confusion for each guest when they arrived and had no idea where to set up.

We had a great time at this spot! The place felt secluded enough for our group and they didnt mind if we were a little loud and played music. Drinking water was provided and the compost toilet worked well. There are goats on the property which added a fun element! We had cell service too, which was unexpected but appreciated.

We had a great time camping here! Compost toilet area had a hand washing station which was so so so appreciated. The view was amazing and the spot was easy to find. If you're worried about starting camp fires when the fire warning is high, there was a hose right by the pit so we watered down the surrounding grassy area and gave the residual fire a good soaking before turning in. If you come in the summer (august-ish) the blackberries around the site/property were perfect! Taylor was great and got us everything we needed. The one dog is a little snappy so we just left him alone and we were all good :)

Absolutely fantastic spot
Spectacular spot! We were down by the river and the spot was private, secluded, and gorgeous. Plenty of room for the dogs to run around and adventure. We booked late in the game and the host, Taylor, was amazingly responsive and kind. The spot had all the amenities listed and a very nice restroom. This is a top spot for sure.

Taylor was a great host, he brought us a jug of water and let us stay in a better spot (with a view) than the one we booked. There are a couple friendly dogs and some goats that might come greet you and hang out near you- we enjoyed it. Driving up the road to the site was no problem in my Honda Pilot. Overall a great experience.

shady spot on the edge of the river
Great base camp site - picturesque views on both sides and right on the river. We enjoyed staying there and exploring, and our dogs did too. Taylor was very nice and accommodating. There is a road and there are neighbors, but we had a good amount of privacy and the people we saw were all friendly.

Clean, Comfortable, and Private
A spacious and beautiful site for the 6 of us and my dog, three tents, and two cars right next to the river. Clean bathroom and sink, place to throw away garbage, firewood waiting for us, and a private fire pit and grill. Wonderful area to walk around by the trees and blackberry bushes. Our site neighbor made us a blackberry pie. First come first serve means you can choose your area (closer or farther from the river) if you show early. I’m so grateful to Taylor for sharing this place with my family and me.

Not as Secluded as Hoped, Nice Host
The property itself is perched on a beautiful plot of land overlooking the mountains, however, there were a ton of other campers on the property which made the site feel less secluded. The "spring" is there but is pretty much a pile of mud so we didn't utilize it. Full cell service and right near a town. We could actually hear music being played by a band down the road.

We had such a great time & would definitely stay again. Great facilities and great communication from the host. Our camp spot was right on the river. There's a bathroom with shower/washing facilities, and it's clean. We read previous reviews that talked about dogs, but there were no dogs when we were there. Bring firewood.

River camping
Our group of 6 had a good time at this site, it was a couple of folks’ first time camping so having potable water and flushing toilet were a huge plus! There appear to be multiple campsites and none of them are marked so we just set up where we wanted (we were first ones there). There was 1 other group aside from ours but they were at a good distance that it didn’t feel tight. A couple of things to note - we didn’t get firewood for the night despite it being one of the amenities on the listing so bring your own firewood! We also got unlucky in that there was a crop duster that started flying at 5:30 am and kept going for a few hours. This def disrupted our sleep but again, may be unavoidable since the site is next to blueberry fields.

First of all Taylor was an amazing host and he made sure we get the best spot and everything is going ok for us. The Camp views was great and it was just few minutes away from Vogler lake which was great for paddle boarding. So many other campgrounds and lakes around for water activities. The land was very big and there was enough space for us to camp. The sunset and sunrise views were also fantastic. Definitely worth the price and also a great choice in Hipcamp.

Perfect for stargazing!
This was a wonderful campaign to and our group of 6 (including 2 kids) had a blast! The views are amazing with the river and mountains. There’s also ample space for kids to play. The access to the river was easy and while the flow was too fast to swim we all managed a quick dip in the freezing waters. Toilet was clean, and access to hot shower was amazing. Taylor met us when we got there and answered all questions in a timely manner before arrival. The highlight for us was access to both shade (respite from the sun), and tons of clear sky for star gazing. We saw so many comets and falling stars in one night! Highly recommend this spot and we will come back for sure!

Camping by the Skagit River!
True riverside camping in a gorgeous spot just off Rt. 20, take a short drive down backroads, surrounded by blueberry farms, to a large open yard with multiple camping spots nestled on the bank of the Skagit. Taylor was a fantastic host—he actually introduced us to HipCamp the evening we booked here, and he upgraded our site for free! He was very responsive to questions via text throughout the evening as we got settled in. The property has a full bath that campers can share, with a clean shower and nice hot water, if that is something you’re looking for. There were plentiful soft, level spots to set up our tent, and one of the spots actually comes equipped with a spacious yurt if that’s more your style. We brought a dog with us, and can confirm that this listing is as pet-friendly as it gets!! Just be sure to keep an eye on them (& little ones!) near the river, as the current was pretty strong when we visited in July. Would 100% visit again—set a high bar for campsites for the rest of our trip!
