Near Olympic National Park
Within a 60-minute drive from the Olympic National Park.
Surrounded by storybook forest, Aya Sol is a quiet oasis in the rain shadow of the Olympic peninsula. Enjoy the wild strawberries on the trails through summer, cook breakfast over a campfire, or explore the surrounding area's lavender fields and beaches. The property is 44 acres, butted up on two sides against DNR land. The light and sound pollution are almost nothing, and a sky full of stars will great you after sunset. The land sits 20 minutes from downtown Sequim, via a beautiful bayside drive. Head east around Discovery Bay into Port Townsend, a small artsy city, with its quaint waterfront downtown. You'll often find festivals and music there in high season. If you’re feeling adventurous, hike the beach (check the tide levels first!) out to the Dungeness Bay Lighthouse. It’s a 30 minute drive to the Dungeness Spit Trailhead. While you’re in Dungeoness, stop in at Dandelion Botanical and say hello to our favorite herbalist, Kachi, the store's proprietor. You’ll find local art, books and all manner of goodies for sale there. Sometimes live music and art shows are hosted there. Owner Steve is a passionate woodsman with a penchant for software development and music production. This charming 1960s camper trailer sits in a beautiful field next to the forest. Enjoy sunny Sequim’s quiet scenery from inside or venture out into the property’s storybook trails. The paddock where your oasis sits is accompanied by a red barn, and fenced for your pet’s safety. Inside you’ll find vintage details, from the mint kitchen tiles to the tweed of the dinette upholstery. Fridge, electric kettle, air fryer, hot plate, outdoor gas grill and the fire pit are available to use for food and beverages. Salt, Pepper and dishes included. Potable water is provided for drinking. Toilet is an Incinolet, an electric incinerating toilet, located in an outhouse on the deck. (https://incinolet.com) The full size bed sleeps two comfortably, and a dog bed or small bedroll will fit in the space adjacent. Dinette seats 2-4 depending on your size. In 20 minutes you’ll be in downtown Sequim, via a beautiful bayside drive. There you’ll find Sunny farms for groceries, plus local shops and restaurants. 30 minutes in the other direction takes you to the quaint seaside old town of Port Townsend, a popular destination for tourists, especially those of the artistic variety.
