We live in the hills above the amazing Columbia River Gorge on the Washington side. Our five acres of towering pines and oak waft fresh piney breezes to refresh our travelers beneath skies thick with shining stars. This is a place to draw in peace from the surrounding nature and to take in the quiet of the wind in the trees. Our yurt is made of 100% organic material including the yak hair ropes and pure sheep felt that surround and insulate the structure. Our goal has been to provide a respite from city stress and to offer an opportunity for relaxation under a different type of roof.Come, rest yourselves in our spacious 350 square foot yurt. There's plenty of room for you and your pets after adventurous days of hiking, fishing, kite surfing, kayaking, boating, and horseback riding in the greater Columbia River Area. We have room for your horse trailer, boat or RV. This is a place to breath in fresh air, and do a little yoga or meditation, so please leave your cigarettes and other drugs at home. We want you to experience the purity of the pines here and bask in your private, peaceful Mongolian yurt.
Our property is part of the Ponderosa Park, where all lots are at least 5 acres. It was founded as a place to get away and build homes with interesting architecture. The main home on this lot is a three story geodesic dome home. Your yurt is set back away in the trees to give it privacy and autonomy. Roads are well maintained in the community, and plowed when snowy. However, our driveway is a down hill, and if deeply snowy will require chains or 4WD. Not to worry though, if you do not have 4WD in the snow, we have a large parking area at the top of our property near the road, and you will be able to hike down the driveway to your yurt. Goldendale is known for its starry skies, pool, top notch observatory, and it's quaint little restaurants. Welcome to our little piece of heaven.
