2 acres hosted by Scott A.
Ashford Lodge is a great basecamp for all your Mt. Rainier adventures! We have cabin suites, a small campground, and (when we're done remodelling), a 1917 craftsman lodge, all located in Ashford WA just 6 miles from the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park! Scott purchased this property in early 2021 with the idea of creating a fun, vintage-themed vacation getaway for travelers near and far. We hope you enjoy your stay!

Welcome to our little campground at the edge of Ashford, WA, near the base of Mt. Rainier and only 6 miles from the national park entrance! This is a great basecamp from which to enjoy Mt. Rainier National Park, or just come and relax for a mountain getaway!
We have 5 lovely camping spots located in the pasture of our property, which we call the "Ashford Lodge", an old 1917 bed and breakfast that we're in the process of restoring (yes, we also have cabin-style rooms for rent!)
The campsites, located in our 1.5 acre pasture, all feature sturdy picnic tables and are surrounded by giant fir, cherry, and alder trees. Site 2 is the shadiest (right under the cherry tree!), Sites 1 and 5 have partial shade, and Sites 3 and 4 have full sun for most of the day. Please understand that HipCamp doesn't allow us to easily switch sites after you book, so please take a look at the photos w/ captions and property map before booking to decide which site is right for you! We're located right off the main road, so there will be some traffic noise, but it's still quite peaceful, especially in mornings and evenings. All sites have partial views of the hills across the valley, and there is a large grassy common area for playing with your dogs or kids. There is also an outhouse on site.
Our location at the edge of town means you can easily walk to Ashford Grocery or your morning coffee at Rise and Grind or Whittaker Bunkhouse Cafe. It's also an easy walk to BaseCamp Grill, right next door, for burgers, pizza and beer! The entrance to our campground is a bit narrow, so we recommend keeping the total vehicle length to 30 ft. Campers with trailers, especially, should use caution to avoid the ditch at the entrance (although we've had quite a few happy campers bring their trailers in without trouble!)
We hope you enjoy your stay, and please let us know if you have any questions!
