Take a break from the city and connect with nature by staying at our magical farm property located on the very south end of Whidbey Island, WA (12 minutes from the Clinton ferry dock). You can enjoy such activities as swinging in one of the many hammocks, getting goldfish pedicures, feeding some of the sweet animals, singing with the parrot, doing goat yoga or goagility (don't bother Googling it because it doesn't exist anywhere else), picking fresh fruits and vegetables for dinner you can prepare in our outdoor cabana kitchen, eating s'mores at one of the many firepits, visiting the beautiful flower gardens or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Wildlife galore including bald and golden eagles, red tail hawks, deer, raccoons, heron and coyotes. Some nights, we have live music in the evening by one of South Whidbey's amazing bands and beer flowing from the taps built into the wall of the cabana. It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, milking goats, feeding farm animals, or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same. We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away.

Wonderful time at Taste of Whidbey

The space that Debi has created at A Taste of Whidbey is AMAZING. My friend and I were four day in to a bikepacking trip, and this place was such a magical respite. A beautiful location, hot shower, full outdoor kitchen cabana... it was just fantastic. Debi was a fantastic host as well, and was very responsive to any questions and needs we had. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely be coming back!

Cozy, Comforting Camping!!

A Taste of Whidbey was a real treat. My friend and I found this place after having to cancel another destination. Debi’s instructional video was very helpful as a way to get the lay of the land and all of the amenities. Even though it rained the first two nights we were there, we were able to spend time in the covered cabana kitchen and gaze out at the gorgeous views. It felt like an animal sanctuary, wild garden wilderness, cozy and comforting, camping meets glamping wonderland. Debi was easy to get in touch with when we had questions and we felt very welcome and at home there. We are so glad we found this majestic spot and can’t wait to come back soon!!

Serene and Magical!

We loved Debi's property and would return in a heartbeat! It was incredibly peaceful and a truly magical experience. The kitchen is an awesome amenity that I haven't seen at any other hipcamp. We loved the camp cat, Mara! There weren't any other campers our first two nights but another group checked in on our final night. The property is huge and the landscaping makes it so that each camping area feels private. Debi is a wonderful host, and I would recommend her hipcamp to all.

Camping w/ animals & outdoor kitche

I really appreciated and enjoyed staying at Debi’s place. It was so convenient to the ferry, easy to find, and so much work has clearly gone into this parcel of land. There was a fenced area with a few adorable goats, chickens and peacocks, another area with special birds including parrots, a waterfall to a pond, and lots of landscaping that I wish I knew more about. There was also a full outdoor kitchen with running water & a T.V., plus a charging station. It was very clean, well organized and I was honestly so impressed. I only stayed one night, but wish I’d had more time.

Geoduck Flats

What a magical place! Debi has put such thoughtfulness and care put into this property, along with so many fun, artsy things to see. Our little family loved saying hello to the goats, chickens, and peacocks on our way to and from the cabana. Our site was very private and quiet but close proximity to all of the property's features. We wish we could have stayed longer!
