A Taste of Whidbey

I really enjoyed my few days. The property is beautiful and my dog loved every minute of it. I loved being able to explore the property and meet all the animals. Debi was quick to respond and made my entire trip easier. I’m leaving Washington, but am very sad that I didn’t find this spot earlier. I will definitely be back during the warmer months and can’t wait for my next adventure at this beautiful property.

It was great, we loved walking around looking at all the cool pieces, campsites, and animals. The cabana was wonderful cozy and had everything you could need. Loved getting to snack from the garden. Debi was great and very kind.

My friends and I loved staying at A Taste of Whidbey! The animals provided us a lot of entertainment, and we loved seeing and tasting some of the fruits and veggies that were planted. We are so grateful of the space and time we had there.

Taste of Whidbey was an absolute delight. The entire site was so beautiful and thoughtfully curated, from the delicious vegetable garden to the cute animals to watch and interact with to the whimsical details throughout the property. The on-site amenities and proximity to the city made it a really easy way to have a relaxing experience out in nature with my kids.

Overall the campgrounds are well kept and we enjoyed the invitation to stroll the grounds and see animals and interesting features like a pond. The host was friendly and took the children to visit animals. The cabana was well appointed and it was very handy for cooking while the burn ban was active. There’s a lot to recommend about this site but the outhouse situation was one of the worst I have encountered. It really needed service as it was very full, smelled terribly (not uncommon for outhouses granted but can be mitigated with more frequent service), there was trash on the floor and a number of spiderwebs. And small, barely room to turn around in, making it a tough combination and the reason I would not unconditionally recommend this site going forward.

Great camp for Whidbey exploring!

A wonderful and quirky forest/farm/campground, with an astounding shared kitchen space and generous host. I arrived on a hot day, having reserved the J-pod site, and Debi graciously allowed me to move to a shaded spot instead (I don't know the name of the spot, the furthest South on the property).

Debi’s place is gorgeous with well equipped outdoor kitchen, animals kiddo went crazy for, hot water shower, and the tranquility we were seeking for! Debi was very friendly and offered to take my 3y old for egg picking (but we overslept sorry!). Endorsed by my 3y old who said she’d like to stay there for 10 days. Already recommended to a few friends.

We had a fun night away at Debi’s. The kids had such a great time exploring the farm and helping Debi with feeding the animals. Walking the dogs and goat was their highlight. Outdoor kitchen was good and easy to use.

Fun with animals on Whidbey

We had a great trip. My kids loved spending time with the animals. The Geoduck Flats site was large and fairly flat. It is close to the street so easy to load and unload (very quiet street with very minimal traffic). The dining area was great but sometimes busy at peak hours. Fridge was very full so when we come again, we’ll bring the larger cooler. It was a great location to explore Whidbey!

We had a great time! We had a nice grassy patch for tent camping and really appreciated the serene views. We loved admiring all the various animals and could tell Debi and friends have put a lot of work and love into the place. The outdoor kitchen was perfect!

We had a truly wonderful experience staying at Taste of Whidbey. The property is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, well-maintained, and full of charm. The campsite itself was gorgeous, perfectly set up. One of our favorite parts was the animals! They added so much personality and life to the place—such a unique touch that made the stay even more memorable. We also loved how close everything was; it was the perfect base for exploring Whidbey Island, while still feeling like a quiet retreat. Debi was kind and welcoming, and you can tell she puts a lot of care into creating a great guest experience. We had a really good time and would absolutely love to come back!

We loved this place, our first Hipcamp stay and it was great. The J-pod of Nod feels tucked away, just a little clearing for a tent but with a lovely view especially as the sun goes down. We used the cabana to fix dinner and breakfast, and relaxed in a hammock by the pond before we hit the road again. Debbie has clearly put so much work into this place, it's lovely!

Such a fun place! Debi went above and beyond to show us around and let the kids help with the animals. The cabana kitchen set up had everything we needed and was a cool spot to chat with other people staying there. This particular campsite was pretty secluded but the approach was a steep trek with kids and gear, probably better suited for minimalists. The campsites would benefit from signage and there were some prickly plants along some paths to be aware of. Overall you can tell a lot of care has gone into the design and all the little touches around the property.

This site is perfect for a trip to Whidbey. We used it mostly for a base camp while we enjoyed the island but it is great also if you are looking for a little paradise to hang out at!! Outside Kitchen is fully equipped, outside shower is lovely. Plenty of animals to bond with. Lots of sun!!!

Wonderful, artist and whimsical vibes at this camp. The animals are friendly and the host is laid back and attentive. I give this place 5 stars all the way. One thing that didn't bother me, but could help others who may not have considered it. Dogs must be on a leash, which is in the rules but the host has 4 dogs that are off leash, so if your dog has leash anxiety it could be difficult, since there is nowhere to keep your dogs if it's hot and sunny. Overall, our stay was amazing! We will definitely be back.

We had such a great time tent camping at Debi's property. This would be a great location for a multiple family group tent. The outdoor kitchen facilities were fabulous. The animals on property were so fun for 5 yo. I wouldn't hesitate to come back and visit again. Thanks for all.
