Dog-friendly camping with mountain views between Anglesey and Snowdonia

Tyn Y Ffridd Farm is set between the mountains and the sea. It's 10 minutes to the edge of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), 10 minutes to the Menai Bridge, connecting beach-fringed Anglesey with the Welsh mainland, and 15 minutes to the foot of Yr Wfydda (Mount Snowdon). In short, it's a cracking North Wales location.

On the surface, Tyn Y Ffridd Farm is a small campsite. Technically there are just 10 camping pitches. But it's bigger than the stats imply. This is a pitch-where-you-please campsite on a vast scale and there’s plenty of room to spread out. Campers have access across some 30 acres: Most choose to stay in the main camping field for easy access to the facilities but if you’re feeling adventurous you can strike out into the surrounding fields and woodland.

In the main camping area, toilets, showers and a handy communal kitchen are all housed in a former farm building. The kitchen has a microwave, kettle and fridge and there’s a brick-built barbecue and pizza oven outside as well. Campfires are allowed and there are a limited number of fire pits available to borrow free of charge.

Campers are not the only guests on Tyn Y Fridd Farm; there are holiday cottages and cabins here too. They all have access to the shared social spaces: The Cow Shed is an undercover space with sofas, seating, a pool table, and ping pong (a great asset in bad weather). But when the sun shines, it’s time to get out there and explore all that North Wales to offer. Whizz down zip lines at Penrhyn Quarry, spend a day at the beach, or explore Beaumaris Castle. You won't be short of choices.

Enjoy a night under the stars in your own tent. Get back to nature & enjoy some time away from the hustle & bustle with friends and family. Located at Tyn Y Ffridd Farm on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park you will have access to enjoy 30 acres of private farm land with views across to the Snowdonia Range. There is a shower & toilet block plus a communal kitchen for you to use. This is a working farm so if you choose a remote part of the farm away from the toilet & shower block you might be joined by sheep & cows - so don’t forget suitable footwear.

Great views, nice facilities.
Great views, quiet location. I’ve been the only camper here the last 2 times! Stayed here with my 2 kids last time and nearly lost the tent in a gale but can’t book the weather! The showers and toilets are nice for a campsite. Nice hot water. There is also a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, oven and crockery which makes life easier for cooking / washing up. I’m yet to stay here in nice weather but there are fire pits, a bbq area and pizza oven for the summer weather. It’s well positioned geographically for either heading to the coast or the mountains. Would definitely stay again.

Great amenities, hot showers and clean creative communal areas. We stopped by during our visit to hike in snowdonia. Easy to find and get set up. Only thing is the noise of the local highway, but unless your looking for something wild I would recommend.

Brilliant facilities - fully fitted kitchen if needed, great showers and toilets, lovely fields for pitching, and a very friendly host. Campfire-friendly which is also very welcome. Feels well out of the way, but still only 15 mins from Bangor / Bethesda! Would absolutely recommend, and will definitely be staying again.

Loved the location and the site. Weather wasn't the greatest but thats certainly not your fault! Love the shower block and toilets and we will be returning to make use of the pizza oven! Many thanks, Joe and Libby
