Learn more about this land: Enjoy mountain views and peace and quiet at this beautiful family-owned plot of land, nestled in the Shenandoah Valley. We are walkable to the Shenandoah River, including a public boat ramp and swinging pedestrian bridge just 5 minutes away by foot. We have a firepit to make memories around, a cozy double hammock, trails to explore, and wildlife to see (so many deer!).  About the property This land has been in our family for over 50 years. We love our little spot near the river, and we love sharing it with others who enjoy getting outside.  Located just 4 miles from Strasburg, Virginia, we are within striking distance of a variety of hiking and outdoor adventures, including the Strasburg River Walk (5 miles away), Signal Knob Trail (13 miles away), Elizabeth Furnace Recreational Area (13 miles away), Tuscarora Trail Eagle Rock Trail (19 miles away), Shenandoah River State Park (24 miles away), Overlook Trail (25 miles away), and Camp Roosevelt Recreation Area (27 miles away).  Downtown Strasburg also has tons of antique shops, Box Office Brewery, The Pancake Underground, Old Dominion Doggery, Burger Shoppe, Ice Cream Depot, and the Strasburg Museum, which is great for anyone who loves trains or history.  We are a short drive to Woodstock and Front Royal as well. Or take in a movie at The Family Drive in Theatre, just 14 miles away. About the listing Pitch your tents, vans, truck campers, trailers, and RVs at this quiet, private, secluded site. Enjoy the sounds of crickets as you fall asleep. There's a portable camping toilet set up in a pop-up tent (please pack your waste out with you when you leave!). The site also includes a private fire pit and picnic table, but no running water.  What to bring - Drinking water - We try to keep toilet paper stocked, but if you're picky feel free to bring your own - Pets are welcome, on or off leash - Camp cooking supplies (no kitchen or equipment is provided) - Firewood if you intend to have a fire and there are no local fire bans in place. You're welcome to any kindling laying around or fallen branches as well.  Additional details to note - There is no WiFi and limited cellular reception for some carriers, so please plan ahead accordingly - Check in and out are usually flexible - please just ask!  - While we want you to have a good time, there are a few residences nearby, so please try to quiet down after 9pm, and be respectful of any neighbors you come across. The campsite was great for what we needed. Our dog enjoyed walking around the site and meeting the friendly horses. We're very low maintenance so it was a good match for our stay. The stars are super pretty at nighttime and the area is quiet enough to enjoy the camp. The locals were friendly and we felt very safe being here.

Great place with great views and kind host. We were able to get booked and be at the spot in no time. Spent the night under a beautiful full moon and woke up to make a big breakfast. Was able to get right back on the road with some good rest thanks to this place.

The spot was wonderful. It was well kept, has a spot to use the restroom, was private, and had access to clean river water across the road. Check in process was easy.

This property was beautiful. Unfortunately we woke up to loud construction noise at 7 am on Saturday that lasted until 5:30 pm. It is no fault of the owner but the property is directly next to a private road with construction crews driving up and down. On Sunday, it was incredibly peaceful and quiet.

Spot is very easy to find, tucked away and secluded. Very simple and basic setup which is always a win! Plenty of room for tents, parking or games. Definitely plan on going back.

This spot was super special!! The night sky was beautiful, and it felt like we were the only ones around for miles. All you could hear were the crickets. Everything was easy to access, clean, and the people I ran into on my morning walk were friendly. I hope to visit again. Thank you, Jen!

We had a great time at Jen’s spot! It was flat for tent camping and had plenty of room for multiple tents! Our dog loooooved splashing and swimming in the river. We’ll be back!

Camping at Jen’s place was a great experience. Very private and not very close to the houses, at the base of some absolutely mountains with a great view. There is an outhouse right by the campsite that actually did not have a smell, big plus! The swinging bridge around the corner was really cool too.

Our 2 stay and the place is awesome. The farm animals next door are very friendly, the horse and the donkey. Also the Shenandoah River is a walking distance. Totally recommended.

Very private place, felt very safe. Everything was provided as listed on the Wineberry Grove page. Beautiful forests around and lovely town of Strasburg nearby. Can definitely recommend.

Great spot! Very private and plenty of space to spread out if needed. The swinging bridge is quite cool. Cool to hear the horses and cows nearby. Highly recommended.

Wineberry Grove was a fantastic location to camp! Jen answered all our questions quickly and the location was easy to find - esp since the gate is bright aqua. They keep the center of the area mowed, but plenty of long grasses, shrubs and trees, along with trails, around the periphery for our dogs to explore. It's equipped with an outhouse that does NOT stink, picnic table, fire ring. There was enough tree cover that our tent was shaded all day. The river and pedestrian bridge are actually about 3 blocks away, not adjacent to our campsite as I'd thought. Not a big deal though. Plenty to see and do near our campsite and being the only campsite made it so relaxing. Can't wait to come back!

I would rank Wineberry Grove as one of the top spots I’ve stayed so far for peace and quiet. We felt completely safe and were left alone to simply enjoy our time here in the area which is very important to us. Clean well taken care of spot and the neighbors were very friendly waving as we went in and out. Beautiful area to visit as well with lots to do in the forest or in the old small towns. Good food to enjoy just minutes away and endless trails to take in within an hours drive in all directions.

It was a perfect, secluded campsite for an overnight outdoor getaway. Easily accessible from Northern Virginia. The nearby swing bridge was fun. Definitely recommend.

Such a lovely, secluded spot. It was close to the town and there were several level areas to place a pitch a tent. Nice little trails on the property to look at horses at neighboring farms. Thank you!

AMAZING spot!! Secluded, private and just beautiful! The outhouse is a total bonus. We had our two dogs with us that loved sniffing around and walking to the suspension bridge. We will definitely be back!!

Lovely spot!! So spacious yet private. The lawn was mowed, outhouse available, as well as fire pit and picnic table. The donkey and horse next door could be seen through the trees - SO CUTE. I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m around.
