Warren Ferry Landing - Cabin
Great site!
This is a great campground right on the James river. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to come back. The host has kayaks and canoes available to use on the river. You will need a vehicle to transport them since paddling up river is pretty difficult. The cabin on site is pretty rugged and run down. It looks like nobody has cleaned it in a long time. We opted to camp in our tents instead. The other camp site on the property is far enough away that you still feel secluded, however, in order for the other campers to use the outhouse they have to walk right through your campsite. Highly recommended!

Warren Ferry Landing - Tent Camping
We had a great time camping at this site! It's a great balance of being off the beaten path but still having a few amenities to make things a little easier. The swing was an added bonus! The space is very level and grassy for tents and walking around barefoot. J.J. gave us great directions into the site. Would definitely stay here again!

Warren Ferry Landing - Cabin
Beautiful view of the river and wonderful campfire. Definitely an unsteady hunting cabin that shakes when you walk in it. Cots enough for 4 and lots of leftover “stuff” there. Could use a cleaning. But definitely not a tent! It poured and not a drop of wet! The outhouse was definitely old and needing changed and the other campers walking into our camp over to it was awkward but necessary I guess. Wood for $8 a night? Not when you’re paying $80 a night. Thats overkill. Not for that place.

Warren Ferry Landing - Tent Camping
Had a wonderful time camping for a couple days with my two kids on JJ's magical spot. Lots of shade, beautiful views, caught my biggest smallmouth to date. Thanks, JJ!

Warren Ferry Landing - Tent Camping
Nice but probably won't go back...
Camping at Warren's Ferry was a bit different than we expected. The views of the river and the open space was wonderful. However, the cabin on the property was much closer to us than we expected and the outhouse location basically required use to invade their set up to use it. The river was also extremely high which made swimming and fishing difficult, but I think we just got a bad weekend. The only real negative was that the public road along the site was populated with locals that were loud and invasive of our space all night. Not that JJ can control that, but something to be aware of.
