In the shadow of Fuhlhart's Knob in the Blue Ridge Mountains, experience your own private site. In what used to be an Apple Orchard and surrounded by treed hillsides, and just 20 minutes north of Roanoke, this will your new favorite private spot. Wildlife wander the property. Many songbirds. Bear not seen, but they are here. No wandering pets. Clean & quiet. Learn more about this land: Private area at my home close to exit 150 off I-81. Groceries and restaurants close by, 45 min to Natural Bridge, 20 to Roanoke city, 25 to Carilion Roanoke Memorial for travel nurses. Special rate given for longer term stays. Appalachian Trail and city park 5 minutes. Veterinarian 1 mile. Blue Ridge Parkway 15 minutes. Quiet people only please. No sewer, must self contain, though you can dump about 6 miles south at Gander, free to Good Sam members $5 others, or the honey wagon will come to you for extended stays. Terrain is hilly, 4wd recommended for back-in, but site is flat. I will help you if needed! NOTE: There is no turnaround up by my house. Please let me know your arrival time or call ahead for more specific information. *NOTE Significant snow &/or ice must cancel, my private road may not be accessible.* Thank you!**PLEASE tell me what you are camping in, this site doesn't really tell me. It lets me know if I need to be here. Also if you want firewood that'd be very helpful. ** Grand Cherokee owners will not be able to back a 20'ish trailer in here using AWD. Not enough power. However, some of you can pull in and unhook & get out if you need to. Private area at my home on 3 acres close to exit 150 off I-81. RV Pad with hookup!

Tina was very helpful and stayed in touch. Having used private RV pads a few times knew what to expect when Tina provided directions on how to pull up. She greeted us as soon as we reached and everything was as expected. A little steep driveway but not difficult at all. Water and electricity hookups were a plus. Kids and us spent 2 great days on our road trip on Blue Ridge Parkway stopping at Tina’s place.

Went well

Great stay! Close to interstate and east to get to. Nice neighborhood and loved seeing the deer munching on the pears the squirrels put on the ground!

Wandering Waltons

Wonderful host and site for a quick stop off 81. I will recommend not using Apple Maps to navigate to it as it had me miles away from the actual location. Tina is a great host and very communicative. My wife, doggo and I felt safe and private sleeping in her driveway (camp site.)

Great location very convenient travel to and from nice and private very responsive hosts couldn't ask for anything more great View and also Power and Water doesn't get any better.
