It's the second time we've stayed here. We'll definitely be staying here again. Very nice and quiet campground with gracious hosts. Well maintained and a clean bath house.

We enjoyed staying here very much. The river is wonderful and the campground was very quiet when we were there. The bathhouse is older but very clean and well-taken care of. Fritz and Valerie were great hosts that wanted to make sure our stay went well. Campground is not far from Lexington and it does not take long to get to the Blue Ridge Parkway or hiking trails.

Great stay, awesome hosts.
What a cool little campground right on the river. We camped in our 40' Motorhome. Spots are spread out well. River is right behind the campground so you wake up to flowing water ambiance. Dogs got to swim for a bit too. Not too far from town - we stopped in for a bit to eat then over to DB for a craft beer flight. Wish we stayed another night or 2 - it was peaceful! Bathhouse was nice to have too. Great spot if you like the secluded outdoors! They had wifi for us too....we personally have a Tmobile router which worked fine but you won't have Verizon cell signal. The best part was the owners. They were incredibly helpful. TS Debby was moving in right when we were planning on arriving and Fritz called me to talk me through the best route and he even held the site for me without me needing to book it, just in case. They greeted us upon arrival and were real friendly. Definitely come visit!

Would definitely book again!
This place was great - we would 10/10 recommend. The showers and bathrooms were very clean, and the site we stayed in was fantastic! We had access to a fire pit, firewood, and picnic table area. The hosts were very friendly and willing to answer questions. They seem to genuinely care about this campground, and it really shows! The wifi signal was strong in RV1. The stream behind the campground was perfect for our kids to play in before/after our treks out and about. This is a hidden gem - don’t skip over it!

A Gem
This was my first trip to this campground and I will be back. The property and facilities were lovely. The bathrooms were extremely clean and convient. I spent lots if time enjoying the water, which was beatuiful. Fritz and Valerie were amazing hosts and very welcoming. Would defentily go back there!

We had an incredible time at the Swedish Lilac Campsite celebrating my wife’s birthday with family. Fritz and Valerie were incredible hosts. They took the time to make it a truly special experience for our children.
The campsite was peaceful and clean. We would recommend it to others interested in separating from the hustle and bustle of Northern Virginia for a few days and look forward to visiting again in the future.
