Nestled in the breathtaking Appalachian Mountains of Southwest Virginia, , hens, ducks, bees, Great Pyrenees, and cats pastorally roam over 18 acres of rolling farmland and forest. Experience our favorite parts of Stormbrew Farm through a primitive camping experience.  Learn more about this land: An agrarian dream- a literal field of possibility. With 18 acres to choose from you may find yourself sleeping along the lazy Fifteenmile Creek, atop a hill under Virginia stars, or even set up with pastoral views of hens and Great Pyrenees dogs. The roadfront side of our property offers level terrain for pull-behind trailers, while vehicles (preferably 4WD) and tent campers can travel all the way back to the creek. Feeling froggy? Ford the stream and camp in the large field on the other side. Be sure to mind the animals and fields, as this is a working farm. One mile down the road from the farm is the Virginia Creeper Trail, renowned for biking, but as a multi-use trail, you can also enjoy walking, running, horseback riding, fishing, cross country skiing, and geocaching. South Holston Lake is only minutes away by vehicle, with two public access boating ramps 10 to 20 minutes away. For a drink by the water, head to Abingdon Vineyards- only 10 minutes away. Access to the Appalachian Trail is only 20 minutes away in Damascus. We became caretakers of this lovely property in June of 2021, moving from our existing farm, 45 minutes away. When we got it, it was a blank slate of a hayfield, and we have spent the summer laying infrastructure so that we may grow our cut-flower, honey, and vegetable business.

Nestle your paradise-on-wheels in between our lush pick-your-own flower & veggie field and our farm building. The large front field is plenty spacious and level to accommodate RVs, vans, and travel trailers. A country road will be in view, but turn your back to it, face the farm, and enjoy the starry & firefly-filled evenings of rural Virginia. Firepits available :) Bring your bikes and hit the Creeper Trail from your base camp at the farm! Trail access is less than a mile away! The trail is renowned for biking, but as a multi-use trail, you can also enjoy walking, running, horseback riding, fishing, cross country skiing, and geocaching. This site is a leveled gravel pad located between our main farm building and our main fenced fields. Sitting at the heart of the farm, this site is located at the place where the RV that started it all used to sit. Conveniently located is a post with 30amp service and hydrant for filling water tanks or hooking up to water. Please note we do not offer a waste dump site. This site is located close enough to our farm building to pick-up wifi. The parking spot is perpendicular to the driveway. Please only choose this spot if you are confident in backing your rig in/out. This is NOT A PULL THROUGH SITE. In every direction surrounding this site, there is a piece of the farm. Our fenced perennial fields, chicken coop, greenhouse, high tunnel, herb garden, and main farm building can all be seen.

Forget pitching a tent and battling the weather. Snuggle-in under the stars in this 8' x 12' structure that features a translucent roof, 14 working windows, and elevated sleeping pad. The cabin provides plenty of room for gear and can easily sleep 4 if another mattress/sleeping pad is added. Clean bedding provided with each booking. Under the stars, overlooking the stream, enjoy your privacy and the tranquility of Appalachia. Spend your day or night relaxing on the front deck of the cabin, with gorgeous stream, pastoral, and mountain views. Billowy ceiling to floor curtains allow for sleeping in. Clever hooks provide places to hang gear & towels. The site has been scratched out of the side of a large hill, so the pad itself is level, but the terrain around it is less so.

We arrived after sunset and never had any contact with the host. Finally located the restroom on our own the next morning as we were heading out. The campsite itself was nice- the tent pad and nearby stream were lovely features. It was right next to the glamping pod which, although vacant, had an unmade bed, trash in the can, and it looked like the fire pit hadn’t been used in months. This combined with never having any contact with the host gave an eerie, abandoned feel to the site.

Streamside Glamping
The site was easy to get to, yet quiet and private, down the hill from the rest of the farm. We sat on the platform and watched the sun set, then fireflies, and then a clear starry sky. Horses peeked over the fence in the morning. And with all this, a morning run to get some coffee took just 15 minutes. We'll happily come back.

What an epic place! They were so welcoming, accommodating, kind, and this was a safe place and I slept very good and pulled out the next morning and continued on. If I'm ever this way again I'll be sure to call on them to stay again!

the place was beautiful! the tent deck was in the perfect spot to look at the night sky without any light. good size deck, nice fire pit right by and a little sitting area down a little bit by the creek. would stay again!

2 days for the Va Creeper Trail

We enjoyed a perfect 2 day stay at this gentle and peaceful farm. Being 1 mile from a trail head for the VA Creeper Trail, was why we chose it The welcome by lots of kitties, chickens and the Gentle giant dog made us feel right at home. While we explored down the hill towards the creek, we found and took advantage of the special place with chairs available. Also, the access to a very nice bathroom was a bonus on top of having power and water hookups at our site. Nicest folks you could ask for! I thank them all and wish them all the best.

Absolutely wonderful place to camp. We were the only ones there and had the whole field to ourselves. Know that the best camping spots are at the back of the farm. Loved the kitties too!!

Ginny was awesome. Very kind and helpful. Loved Percy the Great Pyrenees. I bought a sticker with his picture that’s now on my camper. There were lots of beautiful chickens and quite a few cats. Everyone gets along together. Close proximity to Damascus and Abingdon. Will stay here again in the future.

My husband and I use Hip Camp for a majority of our stays. We especially liked this site for our RV because of easy access, flat gravel and close to the beautiful Creeper Trail.. although we did not get a chance to use it as it was unseasonably cold :( We were greeted by the host ..a large white Great Pyrenee, a family of kitties and brood of chickens ..all very friendly. You may hear coyotes at night pass through the property. We weren't sure how we were going to back out the next morning as the gravel turns to dirt and up a small incline, but thankfully the next day a gentleman came out and told us we could just pull thru on the grass. This was very helpful and appreciated. When we can return to bike the trail, we will would stay here again

Unfortunately, I had to cancel at the last minute due to an illness. Thankfully, Daisy was incredibly gracious and immediately refunded my payment. She didn't have to do that. I will definitely be booking with Daisy in the future so we can experience camping on the farm.

We loved camping on Daisy's land! Daisy was so kind and flexible with us and the farm is adorable. Our favorite part was getting to meet two of the friendliest cats around. Would recommend!

Our first night on our long roadtrip couldn’t have been better! We were greeted by the aforementioned very friendly animals, we sat by the beautiful stream over the hill, we picked a few tulips for the road and bought farm-fresh eggs! Our night was quiet, even on the gravel site near the road. We have a 28’ travel trailer and wouldn’t want anything much longer to go up the hill to turn around. Daisy’s farm is a neat spot!!
