Quaint, cozy stay but lake use?
The Guide's Quarters was a simple and quaint place to rest for a night for the three of us. It was clean and the loft bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Extras provided like dishes, cutlery, a little camp frig, several nice blankets, a heater, a large fan, electricity, a speaker for blue tooth, and charging port made for a nice "glamp" experience. Chickens outside cooing in the morning made it feel homey.
It was a disappointment, however, not to be able to enjoy fishing and/or boating on the 16 ac lake since this was part of our reason for booking. The boat house was in need of repair and no boats in sight. Request to the owner where the boats were located was not answered. If there were other options available for us, this was not supplied with a response either.
