We had a great stay here. We were in the area for a fishing trip leaving out of Deltaville, so this was the perfect location for us. When just staying for a short enough length time to not need a sewer hookup, this type of camping is worlds better than a campground because it's secluded, quiet, and secure.
Because we have a 32' bumper-pull trailer, we stayed in the field site, which is only a short walk to the other dockside site but still far enough away that you would never be disturbed by people in either site. We didn't need the water hookup, but used the electrical hookup, and the power was clean and reliable. This site is near the owner's property line, on the other side of which is a neighbor's house, but because of the trees, we still felt secluded. We were just careful not to make a bunch of noise, and the neighbor's dog, a very sweet Spaniel, came to visit while we were making dinner, which was a happy thing for us.
We did needed a short extension for our 30A power cord, but it wasn't an issue because I carry one, and I could've avoided needing it by parking closer to the treeline where the power post is. The water was on the other side of the driveway, so I would've needed a longer hose than I had to use it (maybe 50'), but it wasn't an issue because we hauled water in anyway. I was able to find a level spot on the field easily, and didn't need any leveling blocks, so that was another plus.
Andrew was great with comms leading up to our trip and he and his wife met us when we arrived. They are very friendly, and we felt welcome. Also, trust your GPS - it will lead you to the driveway, which is on the north side of the road. I did not trust it and ended up driving past it, and the next place to turn around was a Baptist church parking lot 3 miles down the road. Oops. My fault, and no one else's.
