The campground itself is situated right on the river with a very thoughtful set of steps leading down to a beachy area. Plenty of space to set up tents and have designated areas for games, cooking, etc.
The host was super welcoming and brought a load of firewood out to us to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We will absolutely be coming back.

I really enjoyed my stay at this campsite. The area was very clean and well-maintained, and the host was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I especially loved spending time fishing — the spot is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding outdoors.
The only downside was noticing that quite a few trees have been cut down since my last visit. It’s still a beautiful place, but it doesn’t feel quite as shaded or natural as before. Overall, though, it remains a great location for camping, relaxing, and enjoying nature. I’d definitely come back again.

Such a beautiful campsite! Our dog loved splashing in the river. There are paw paw trees all over the site and we were able to pick a few to try! The site host also brought us some extra watermelons which were delicious. There was another family at site 2, and it was fine but would recommend renting both sites for maximum privacy! We hope to come back very soon.

We enjoyed tent camping here very much! The owner offered us firewood and even fresh picked watermelon. We had 2 toddlers in tow and they enjoyed exploring the trails as well. Will be coming back.

Riverdale Farms/ Bubbas campground is a very nice, and private campsite. The entire property is well maintained and clean. It’s the kind of property everyone wants for them selves. It has private waterfront access, hundreds of acres, your kids and dogs can run around without a leash. Lol! We will definitely be back. Around lunch time Dan rode down on his four wheeler to check on us. He was nice enough to bring some watermelon and cantaloupe down for everyone. We talked for a few minutes and he was on his way. For anyone wondering about the gun range. There is a small gun range on his property. It’s probably 200-300 yards away. It’s not disturbing in anyway. You can’t see anyone, they can’t see you. They shoot in the opposite direction.

Daniel and Bubba have a great area. They were very accommodating, generous, and friendly. It was a pleasure to talk to them and enjoy their land. The water was great for swimming, ground was soft , and area was well shaded.

Absolutely loved our stay here! Our family has already decided—we're definitely coming back. The river was beautiful, and the two campsites were close enough for convenience but still offered plenty of privacy. Easy access down to the river and everything was exceptionally clean. The owners were wonderful—friendly and communicative throughout our stay. The tent areas were level and shaded, which made for a comfortable setup. We even spotted a rat snake, which the kids thought was super cool! Everyone had a great time, including our dog on his first camping adventure. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Riverdale farms, we rented both sites for full privacy! It was a beautiful property and we parked our camper right in front of the river. There were awesome concrete steps for access to the river and our kid enjoyed playing in the water. If we hadn't rented both sites, the second one is fairly close and shares water access. But they did say they had plans to make more privacy and a second set of stairs to the water in the future.
The fishing was not very exciting but that could just be due to the water level or time of year. As for any of the noises mentioned in other reviews. We hardly heard the highway, trains or amusement park so we don't feel any of those were a bother at all.
The gun range is on the same farm and a few hundred yards away so safety was not a concern at all since it is facing a different direction. But it was pretty loud when multiple people were shooting at once and our dog was not a fan of it at all. As we were leaving on Saturday morning it looked like they were setting up for a class on the range that would've been little loud, so that worked out well that we were leaving.
Overall I would recommend this hipcamp since it was beautiful and mostly peaceful with great water access, plus the river was very clear and kid friendly for swimming.

Dan was gracious & accommodating. Camp sites are down a mile of gravel, just by the river. We saw a baby otter or weasel scampering on the far bank.

A great river camp spot with lots of space and privacy! My kids loved fishing and the steps for easy access to the river were a plus. Well maintained camp site. It was a just what my family and I needed for a quick stress free getaway.

This was my second time staying at Daniel's place and it was wonderful again. The location is relaxing and quiet. You do hear kings dominion in the distance but it's not a big deal. The sites are clean, comfortable and right on the water. You can hear the river, birds, and frogs and it's all very tranquil. Daniel is super friendly and a great host. I will be back again for sure.

We floated the river from the Rt. 1 North Anna landing down to the campsite. It took about 4 hrs. with minimal stops. The site was beautiful, secluded, and clean. Amazing weekend! We’ll be back!

I love this spot so much! This was my second time staying here and I booked both campsites this time so that my dog could roam the entire area. She doesn’t get many opportunities to go off leash but this place is the best. I even brought my bike so she could run the trail and I could tag along. Dann let us stay later than check out and I really appreciated it because it gave us more time to enjoy the land. The property is so beautiful and it’s really nice to be right next to the river. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

I had a amazing weekend there! Dann was so kind he came down to check in on us the next morning as we had a very late check in! We were mostly alone except for 1 night ,But we could barely see or hear the other group! Loved going on hikes and Fishing! We plan to go back every month! All 3 of my dog loved the area and loved playing in the water!

Definitely reserve both campsites. If one or the other camps wants to party or uses a generator someone will be disturbed. Gun range is pretty loud but not as big a deal as rowdy drunk neighbors. Otherwise a relatively pretty location with nice walks as long as it's not hunting season.

The stay was awesome and the view of the creek was nice.
Campsite 1 + 2 are near but not close.
We had neighbors but were never worried about privacy.
This being our first time using this app for camping was at first worrisome but turned out awesome.
Arrival to the trail to get to the campsite you are greeted with farm land and a house. A short drive through the pathway in the woods and you have arrived to your destination.
The site itself had a fire pit, creek, log for sitting, and woods and vines everywhere.
We will definitely be coming back as it was only 30 minutes from home.

Such an awesome spot so close to Richmond, kids love going down the steps to the water of the north Anna river on site one. I took a four-year-old and seven-year-old and we really enjoyed it. Daniel stopped by to say hi and answer our questions about the land.
