Amazing cabin! Such a nice getaway! Very clean and well put together. Loved falling asleep to the creek at night. Great location near great hiking and breweries. Definitely recommend!

The Cabin at One Forest Farm was the perfect place to spend a fall weekend. Close to wilderness areas in George Washington National Forest and breweries/wineries on the 151 corridor, the cabin was well thought-out and the camp site was clean, stocked with dry firewood, and ready for relaxation. Heidi was a great host -- highly recommend sampling the farm's buttermilk and eggs, breakfast at the cabin was a highlight!

Very sweet spot and especially good for families with small kids. Everything was clean, well cared for and easy. Sleeping by the sound of the babbling creek was a highlight!

This was our second year in a row coming to One Forest Cabin Camp on Labor Day weekend. The secluded cabin, the hospitality, the creek, the private rockslide, the kids play area, the list goes on. Our family loves this place and we love sharing and experience with everyone we know. This year we also tried Paul’s Creek Trail which is about 15 minutes from the cabin. It’s a short hike to a large rock slide and swimming hole. Can’t wait to plan our next trip!

Tranquility is every where in this beautiful cabin, only 25 yards from a charming creek. The hosts are kind and very accommodating. If you are looking for peace among the trees and water this is a dream come true!

Truly a treat. I’m already planning a trip back in the summertime. Our hosts were so gracious and welcoming; you can tell they really love sharing their little slice of heaven, and I’m so grateful they do. My partner and I arrived after dark, and when we woke up we were greeted by a sparkling creek (that we could only hear the night before) mere steps from the cabin, and the families’ horse grazing peacefully in the pasture. That was our view all weekend. And a sky full of stars each night. The cabin itself was so cozy, the propane stove kept us warm, and the space was welcoming and had a great, authentic mountain feel. Comfy bed and soft linens, rocking chairs, a hammock. Coffee and breakfast on the covered porch were so beautiful. We had eggs from their farm and homemade buttermilk, such a special treat, and Heidi even shared how to make more at home as well as her favorite biscuit recipe (I already made them, delicious!) Heidi and Randy were so kind and generous (they even gifted us a bottle of champagne because we were there for our anniversary-so sweet!) They were there if we needed them for anything, but gave us our privacy and all the peace and quiet we could ask for. They prioritize sustainability and take great care to balance some basic amenities while still being off-the-grid.
It’s hard to put into words how special this place felt, and how inspired we were on our stay. We dream of eventually having our own little mountain farm, and the whole stay felt like a manifestation practice in making that happen. Can’t wait to be back and see all that splendor when it’s lush and green!

One Forest Cabin Camp is cute, comfortable, and immaculately clean. I stayed there for two nights where it was bitterly cold outside, but I was warm and cozy inside the cabin with the gas fireplace. The setting is beautiful, right next to the Blue Ridge Mountains, a 12 minute drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Appalachian Trail. (I was incredibly lucky—the Parkway was closed due to snow and ice so I drove up to Reid's Gap and hiked in the snow on the Parkway itself. The views were incredible. Heidi and Randy are responsive hosts who gave me my privacy but were there when I needed them.

My partner and I stayed for two nights at new years and we enjoyed every second! The cabin was better than my expectations. It was super clean, easy to use, very uncluttered but contained a comfy bed, chairs and small table. The cabin is perfectly sized for two, and probably comfortable for up to four people. We loved being able to disconnect, because we didn't get service or wifi and there is no running water or electric. The propane fire place kept the place very warm, and the propane burners boiled water and cooked pancakes and rice easily and quickly. We loved hearing the river in the background. The outhouse is the cleanest, most usable outhouse I've ever seen and included a hand washing station. I was very impressed by the details and obvious love the owners put into building and maintaining the cabin. I only wish there was a pamphlet or something telling the history of the cabin.

The location was beautiful. The hosts were kind and exceptionally considerate. The cabin was more stocked and prepared than we could have hoped for. The cabin and the “outhouse” were immaculate. The whole experience was above and beyond our expectations. The hosts care very much about the cabin and giving guests the best experience. We can’t say enough good things about One Forest Cabin. The people at local stores were very helpful and kind. It was a great vacation!

Very well maintained and comfortable cabin with enough woods about for privacy serenaded by a nearby stream. Great screened porch where we enjoyed out meals. Bed was more comfortable than expected so did not need to use sleeping bags. Compost toilet was clean and easily reached. Excellent hiking nearby but requires driving to reach. Our hosts Randy and Heidi were friendly and unobtrusive. We would happily return.

We had a lovely time at Heidi's cabin. The cabin was even better than I expected. Very clean and the woods and creek were very private and peaceful. I would highly recommend to anyone needing to take a stress free
and unplugged break!

We had such a lovely time staying here! The location is wonderful, feels very private, and the creek is within sight for an afternoon paddle. The cabin is super cosy, with a springy floor excellent for post hike stretches, and our hosts were kind enough to leave us some tasty regional treats! During our stay we went hiking to Humpback rocks, swam in a beautiful but chilly waterfall, and ate a lot of s'mores. We really appreciated the covid safety, Randy wore a mask and gave us a verbal tour of the house instead of touching things and everything was super clean, we felt able to totally relax here!

We really enjoyed our stay at One Forest cabin. The cooler with some beverages was a nice touch, and the hosts were kind and helpful. We especially appreciated that they wore a mask while giving us a lay of the land. The cabin was rather humid inside, though it seems the owners are trying to remedy that; we would’ve brought our own sheets if we could redo. The swimming hole on the property was a definite highlight (!), and the hammock on the screened in porch was lovely — it would be great if there was a lock on the inside of the porch door, though, for the extra sense of privacy and security. We booked our stay at the Reed Family Farm for our 7 year old's birthday weekend. I'm not sure that it could have been any better. The cabin was spotless and comfortable. The sound of the creek from the porch couldn't have been any more peaceful. And the mud kitchen, balance line, and jungle gym net were a hit that kept our sons spirit and imagination going all weekend. We cooked our breakfast every morning on the propane stove and our dinner on the fire pit. We bathed, fished and played in the creek and only left the property when we wanted to venture out for a hike. Randy and Heidi were great to deal with and very helpful throughout our stay. Our family will never forget our trip and would recommend it to anyone, even though we selfishly want to keep it a secret.

The cabin was great for a weekend getaway! We visited Shenandoah National Park. It’s a great location if you’re looking for something close to skyline drive or the blue ridge parkway. Randy was welcoming and very helpful! The cabin was very nice and appeared very neat and clean! We had some campfires and spent some time hanging out on the screened in porch. Also there are a ton of breweries we enjoyed nearby.

Our 4 night stay was amazing. Even better than anticipated. The area was super accommodating for kids with some special places to play right Next to the cabin. We had many hiking adventures nearby with our two kids ages 3 and 6. We got the quiet time to read and explore together that we were looking for and Heidi and Randy Were generous hosts that also gave us total privacy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the One Forest Cabin Camp! The forest and the creek surrounding the cabin are absolutely idyllic; we loved falling asleep to the sound of rushing water and exploring in the woods. Heidi was kind enough to provide us ice in the cooler (and some local beers!) upon our arrival. We also appreciated the work that went into creating such a cool sustainable retreat - the compostable toilet and pump sink were awesome, plus no electricity and wifi made for a much needed mental escape. The camp stove was perfect for making eggs and coffee in the morning. There are also tons of hiking trails, breweries, wineries, nearby - Bold Rock Cidery is just up the road. My only wish is that we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Heidi and Randy!

My husband and I were looking for a nice private weekend getaway in the mountains and this was perfect. Heidi and Randy were super kind and considerate. Anything we needed, they went above expectations to ensure our stay was pleasant. We look forward to coming back and possibly even bringing our kiddos. Only negative is that my husband is really tall and the futon bed didn’t make for a decent sleep as his feet were resting on the wooden armrests. Other than that zero complaints.

This cabin and its surroundings make for a wonderfully green, fresh, and relaxing getaway. The cabin is comfortable and very clean, and so is the outhouse with its humanure toilet. Heidi and Randy are very kind and attentive hosts.
Our 10 year old son had the best time catching crayfish and bathing in the creek, roasting marshmallows by the fire and running in the wilderness. There's a variety of trails nearby that range from the very easy and bucolic (Rockfish trail) to pretty intense and with spectacular views (Humpback Rocks). And being off the grid, without internet, was just bliss! I would love to come back to this place and I highly recommend it.

This was a very fun weekend. The hosts Heidi and Randy are amazing. They were both very wary of the covid-situation so we felt extremely safe in that environment. They gave us wonderful tips on the area, hikes, orchards, markets, where to best dip in the creek, and invited us to pick some blueberry from their tree :) The cabin itself is just lovely, you are feet away from the creek so you hear the water stream continuously. It is well equipped as well to make some simple dinners. The location is great, about 15 minute drive from three ridges trail, and 25 minute from humpback rock, both wonderful hikes. I highly recommend this stay! Oh and devil's backbone brewery is just around the corner :)

Our experience here was wonderful! The cabin and outhouse were spotless, and the hosts were extremely hospitable. We arrived after dark, so Randy met us at the parking lot, took us down the path to the cabin, and made sure we knew where everything was and how to use it. They provide almost everything you’ll need - linens, pans for cooking on the propane grill, lantern, hammock, and ice in a cooler! We will definitely be staying here again.
