Cozy Loft at B&M Journey Farm Barn
Our stay in Mike’s loft was great! It ended up being a chilly weekend but we had a good time by the fire with Mike and Brittany! Such nice and gracious hosts. The loft was as advertised. We’re able to bundle up in the cooler temperatures and stay warm overnight. The property was great as well, would love to check it out again in the summer! Perfect spot for a stay if looking to be near the National Park. Definitely would recommend!

This is my second time staying at Mikes place. It was just as cozy as my partner and I remembered. The property is beautiful and the location is great. It has everything you need to be comfortable even during chilly nights. We highly recommend!

Beautifully kept campground! Mike greeted us and showed us which site was ours. Thankfully we were far apart from each at the bottom of the hill. The farm cats are the sweetest and will approach you for cuddles (: They left us firewood and had a clean pit for us ready to go! The outhouse was well kept and at the top of the campsites! Overall would highly recommend (:

Loved this place! The hosts were awesome and super friendly and the loft itself was warm and welcoming. It was awesome to wake up in the early morning and watch the sunrise from the mountains and hear nature all around you. Mike and his wife were extremely accommodating and welcoming.

One of Hipcamps best experiences
Incredible experience. Authentic dark stay, complete with cows chickens and friendly cats. Feel lucky to have found Mike’s place on a cool September weekend. The farm is beautiful and the experience of being in the barn for a chilly night was awesome. We were well taken care of - the toilet was clean and contained all necessary accoutrements. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the barn as well. Fire pit was well stocked with free wood. Counting down the days when I can go back!

Sleeping in a barn!
Staying in the barn was a fun experience! It was clean, picturesque, and cozy in the loft. For cooking, we brought our camp stove and camping food equipment, and cooked outside the barn on the picnic table. The farm itself is very appealing and we enjoyed the animals and the flowers - especially Midnight the cat!

I loved camping here! Not only is it gorgeous, but Mike made sure to greet and introduce himself when I arrived. I felt very relaxed here and enjoyed the was fire wood. The grounds were well taken care of. I would highly recommend staying here again!

We had a great time camping on Mike and Brittany‘s land! Huge, quiet campsite in the center of so much beauty. The goats were SO CUTE and friendly. And Connie the cow had her calf during our stay! Great hills for biking. Firewood was provided and the outhouse was super clean. Can’t wait to visit again.

Unique Glamping Barn
This was our first time “glamping” but it will not be our last! We go camping all the time, but it was so nice to have a real bed to sleep in at the end of the day.
Mike was great a great host and provided a great local restaurant recommendation (check out Southern Kitchen in New Market for good country cooking.)
The space itself was wonderful and very unique. Plus we made friends with the farm cat!

Beautiful Farm Setting, Great Hosts
This was my first HipCamping adventure but won't be the last. Mike and Brittany were terrific hosts and their property is beautiful. Communication was on point throughout. Their place was exactly what I was looking for as a relaxing spot to pitch a tent and unwind midway through a two-wheeled trip (I stayed there twice going and coming). As has been mentioned, it's a farm so the animals remind you where you are. Personally I really enjoyed it as reminded me of my childhood.

Mike and Brittany were lovely hosts and the property was gorgeous. I loved getting to explore the land and visiting the farm animals. I didn’t get a chance to use the outhouse since I was out and about hiking for majority of the time but I would 100% stay at their property again!

Great camping near Skyline Drive!
Beautiful spot, Mike is very chill, great views, fireflies, stars, animals, nice outhouse, benches to sit on, firepit. Feels like you are in the middle of nowhere but you are 25 minutes from Thornton Gap (Shenandoah National Park / Skyline Drive and 10 minutes from the Interstate. Amazing location. Check out Skyline Drive all day and then camp away from all the tourists!

Beautiful farm with a view!
We had a great night at Mike's farm. Our hosts were very kind, and our kids loved visiting the chickens and goats. The outhouse was fine, and very clean, and they provided a pump with potable water. We only wish we would have had a picnic table, but we made do and loved chatting with Mike and Brittany.

I loved the area! The location is so mellow. The animals are so friendly and so were the hosts. They even gave directions to places to eat and go see places nearby. Wonderful people to have in your life. If you want to spend time with your hosts they are open and easy to talk with.

Glamping at its finest!
We had a wonderful stay at Mike and Brittany's barn! The barn itself was adorable with string lights, a mini-fridge, and a very comfortable bed. The property also has a beautiful greenhouse and a variety of sweet, friendly animals. We plan to come back soon :)

We really enjoyed our stay in the barn. B&M were both incredibly friendly and were great at letting us know they were there if we needed them but otherwise giving us our space. The property is lovely and we even got to see a newborn goat!

Mike & Brittney were the sweetest, most friendly and chill! They were super welcoming, thorough and everything was as advertised on the listing. We set up camp, walked around the perimeter of their property and then chilled by our fire for the rest of the evening. Convenient located to NP and forest. They also gave great hiking recs.

Unforgettable stay
We had such a lovely stay. We arrived a bit late and our hosts Mike and Brittany greeted us, showed us the property and had a fire already going.
The barn is stunning and may be considered rustic to some. Waking up to rain (and then snow) on the tin roof is a sound and experience we won’t soon forget.
The sun peeked out an we got a chance to walk the property a bit, visit with the chickens, some goats and and a few yard cats.
We were sad to leave and can’t wait to go back again.

Cozy Loft at B&M Journey Farm Barn
We had a great time on the farm! The barn was rustic and cozy, and we were comfortable under all of the blankets. The barn was more exposed to the outdoors then we had expected and there were a few spiders and bugs inside, but luckily we stayed in March so there weren't mosquitos. I would recommend packing everything you would normally bring for camping, such as matches and eating utensils. Overall it was a nice trip and we did some great hiking nearby.
