What a hidden gem! You can tell much care and thought was put into making this site welcoming in every way. Friendly hosts and guests, clean, easy to access & close to everything fun in Floyd. We loved the shady space we reserved (perfect for our tent), and the outdoor kitchen is a fantastic amenity! Dodds Creek is lovely, access here is just "walk right in" and perfect for dogs and kids to play in!

Camping by the creek makes for an awesome weekend. Jeremy and his dog, Dansby were wonderful host. Very relaxing just putting your chair in the creek and spending the day.

We had a great experience at Hippie Hollow! We stayed in a pop up camper and had a great time! It’s a spacious camper near the restrooms which is super convenient. Nice restroom and shower, nothing big but definitely enough. The property and creek is absolutely beautiful. We loved getting to experience the ‘Why not Wednesday’ live music by the creek. Our kids, 9 and 10, had a great time swimming, running around, playing with the cats, and even some fishing. Jeremy was super friendly and accommodating as were the other campers. It’s a great little community camp spot. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Hippy Hollow was a relaxed camp with a lively creek flowing in our backyard. We enjoyed talking with the host and other campers at the outdoor kitchen and watching the dogs, chickens, and ducks roam the grounds at their leisure.
It's so close to Floyd and only a short drive from the Blue Ridge Parkway so exploring the area is easy. The honey wagon restroom on a trailer was so welcome - regular sink, shower, and flushing toilet (instead of the porta potty). Our site had an amazing lounge area with fire pit - we didn't use it because we were tired and it rained every night.

Absolutely fantastic, Jeremy was a gracious host and very flexible! The enclosed bathroom was extremely clean (!), modern (!!), fashionable (!!!), and had a hot shower that’s probably better than the one you have at home (!!!!)

It is a pretty spot with fire pits and tables located around a river, and is only 1/2 mile from the local brewery and 1.5 miles from the wonderful town of Floyd which has its own enriching experiences. Jeremy is a wonderful host who became our friend while we were there. Although we didn’t have to use it, he also has spots with electrical and water. Also a nice central bathroom with a nice warm shower. He continues to look for ways to improve the place and has built a nice stage for small music events as well. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable time.
Also no need to buy the optional cancelation insurance from HipCamp. It could get muddy in a rainy time period, but Jeremy is very easy to work with.

Peaceful Promising Getaway Near Floyd
This is a nice little campground that's being built up from scratch, and it's easy to see it will be quite lovely once finished. Its location near Floyd is perfect—close enough to pop into town for supper or live music, yet still tucked away in a quiet, natural setting. The campground sits along a low-flow creek, so mosquito repellant is a good idea, though the resident chickens and ducks do a great job helping to keep the bugs in check. A peaceful spot with lots of promise!

Hippie Hollow is a great little campground! I wish we had found this place sooner. It’s an excellent place for tent camping, although we brought our camper. It’s a nice clean place. A wonderful bathroom with a shower. Great sites along the creek. We would definitely recommend this place for great camping spot

A charming little spot near downtown Floyd. Just off of route 8- very conveniently located but not too private. Bathroom and shower is very clean. Loved the chickens and ducks? Geese? Running around and the stream would be fun for little ones. Sites are close to each other and not private if that’s what you’re looking for. There was free firewood which we really appreciated. Also liked the wood chips that cushioned the ground for our tent. Absolutely would return again!

Great night at the hippie hollow - band stand and flowing river made for cool setting. Outdoor kitchen, all facilities as advertised Felt really private for being near road. Jeremy great communication, easy stay.

Jeremy was a very communicative, friendly host. The sites are right on a beautiful creek. And there was a hot shower which was a great surprise. The camp is super close to the cutest town. Floyd. Jeremy is working hard to get it perfect!

Location is very convenient to town and a local park with trails. The sound of the stream was very soothing to sleep by. It’s a small area and is close to the road, so traffic can be heard. Fortunately, the sound of the stream drowns out most of it. Jeremy is very friendly and accommodating.

This place is a gem! Jeremy was very hospitable, accommodating and made us feel at home. We stayed in the back by the creek and loved the sound of the water and enjoyed all the birds and deer in the distance. We’ll be back!

Worked out great for a stopover. Site had some construction going on at the other side, kudos to him expanding. Fairly clean, burned up beer cand in fire pit i had to pick up buy leave it cleaner than you found it.
Biggest disappointment was, someone there was smoking the wacky weed, and my 13 year old son got a good whiff of it and started asking questions.
Over all... good guy, doing a good job of expanding, could be kept cleaner and the pit could go. Not so kid friendly , but good for a stopover.

This was a great little camping spot.
Jeremy met us upon arrival and directed us to our spot. We were tucked in the back corner of the property, by the creek and that felt more private and was perfect.
The creek pretty much drowned out any street noise.
I like that it had nice, new bathroom trailer.
Lots of building projects were in the works and the property was well kept.
Would stay there again!

Jeremy is such a nice, interesting individual. His vision for the property is amazing, and we look forward to circling to back to watch it grow. Our stay was comfortable and laid back; we felt welcome and safe but had space to experience the land and creek on our own time. A generous and flexible host, and a perfect stop if you’re wanting to explore Floyd. Extra credit for the sweet dogs and family of ducks. The proximity to a somewhat busy road is something to consider if you’re seeking isolation, but it wasn’t an issue for us at all.
