Full Hookup RV Stopover!
We had a fantastic time on Josh's site! It was exactly as described and worked perfectly for our family. Josh was super helpful before and during our stay. He got us detailed directions to the site, answered all our questions before and during the stay and had the campfire all set up with wood that was ready to go when we arrived. Can't wait to come back next time we are in the central VA area. Thank you Josh!

Full Hookup RV Stopover!
Some road noise but a great stop-over. The light made us feel secure. And the privacy, as there was only one hook-up, was great.

Full Hookup RV Stopover!
Josh was great we booked pretty late and was not a issue . He had the gate open, power on, ample firewood available , even had the fire ring set and ready to be lit, and 30 amp converter in for us before we even showed up . Very communicative answered any questions i had and is very polite . Really nice little spot tucked away on the property against the surrounding woods . Hook ups are very close and the parking space is plenty big enough for you to maneuver yourself around to be were you need to or want to be at . You park under a nice big tree on gravel and has a big street light on the area so that you can see clearly at night if your backing up or setting up . Yes its off a main back road hwy prolly about 1000 or so ft away from it . Really not much travel on it late at night but can hear cars from it but wasnt a issue to us at all may be for some but to each there own didnt bother us one bit as seclusion and full hook ups is our wants rather then surrounded by ppl at a campground or hearing other ppl at a campground . Ashland is about a hr or so away from here if you need to go to walmart , wawa, sheetz or do laundry nice drive there down windy back roads . Overall great first experience using hipcamp and staying at joshes . If privacy , large parking , easy hookups is what you are looking for with a great host and not so bothered by a little bit of passing traffic then this is your spot Its deff ours and will be back to stay again . Thank you again josh for the stay .

Full Hookup RV Stopover!
Heavy road noise, not quiet
Josh was welcoming and made some thoughtful touches (firewood, 30 amp converter plug) in preparation for our stay. However, the site bears the most misleading description possible. Don't expect quiet. I looked forward to having a nice campfire, but didn't bother taking out our camp chairs because you'd need to shout most of your words to have a conversation.
Location is on a very heavily traveled roadway. The narrow two-lane highway has a rumble strip in its center dividing lines. There is so much heavy truck traffic, and passenger vehicle traffic. Mostly dump trucks pulling large trailers, but lots of big rigs too. The heavy commercial traffic goes late into the night. The highway is inclined in front of the property, so you get some exhaust breaking noise on top of the rest. It was very difficult to get any sleep.
