Drewry Blueberry Farm

We loved staying 2 nights at Michael’s farm with our camper! It was a very secluded and well maintained spot that our dog could roam freely as well. We had the wood line behind us and a great view of the farm and sunsets in front of us. We enjoyed exploring the property with his private trail that both kid and dog had fun killing time on. All his farm animals were an extra perk and we grew fond of Baby Bull. Michael was very welcoming once we arrived and very responsive with a small glitch in the water line that was fixed in no time! While exploring the property we saw the other camp site with all the same accolades as ours. We hope to return again as this was a truly quiet, secluded and peaceful experience!

Our stay at Site 1: Hilltop Orchard

We actually booked Site 2, but Michael reached out offering Site 1 since it would be vacant during our stay. We happily accepted his offer and I'm so glad we did! Upon our arrival, Michael stopped by to welcome us and explain the layout of the land. He told us where to find firewood (a nice bonus) in case we needed a refill during our stay. Setting up was easy, there was plenty of space to position our 27ft trailer as needed. Our power and water hookups are on the opposite side so we will be purchasing extenders before our next stay - but even without them, we had no issues connecting. There are several trees perfect for hammocks. The large picnic table provided plenty of space for meals and games and art activities. There is a small store a few minutes away in case you forget something (like we did). We took advantage of Michael's invitation to explore and walked over to the barn to say hello to the animals. The ambiance was more than I could have imagined: dragonflies buzzing around, the orchard down the hill, horses at the end of the gravel road, cows grazing in the distance, string lights that illuminate the night. And the views, from sun up to sun down, absolutely amazing! So peaceful, exactly the getaway we were needing! We're already planning our next visit :)

We spent four days on this beautiful farm and had a lovely time. Everything was clean and well kept, we had water and an eletric hook up. We tent camped with 6 people and had plenty of space to set up. Our hosts were lovely and we felt perfectly safe (a must for female campers). They let us have the run of the farm and we had a great time exploring and admiring the farm and the livestock. I would highly recommend this camp and am looking forward to coming back in the future.

Picturesque Hilltop Camping

The camping was great on the hilltop at the farm. We had everything we needed to make it a comfortable camping experience. The site was clean and had a great view overlooking the farm. We enjoyed exploring and seeing the animals on the property. Such a great experience. We would definitely do it again.

Private, primitive, and friendly

Overall this site was fantastic. We did have some issues with power “brown out” where we would be receiving some power but not enough to run the fridge or air conditioning. This was very intermittent but with not packing coolers and ice it became too cumbersome and we cut our trip a day short. Great property and extremely private. Will try again when the weather is a bit more seasonable to not have A/C.

Awesome stay in the woods

Great stay between trees and field. Very calm. With detailed handwritten map very easy to find. There was a huge table with benches and even an illumination for the evening. Electric hookup was available. We stayed there on our way from Manassas to the Outer Banks.

I enjoyed my stay at Mike's. He was very kind. The draw was that I could let my dogs run off leash. They were not super well behaved near the cows, but that was no fault of the cow owners. There was room for us to wander elsewhere on the property and for the dogs to stretch their legs. Mike is having work done on the entry roads to the property adding gravel. When it is complete I am sure it will look fantastic and the site will be even easier to get into.

Beautiful View and Great Host

We had a great time. The camp ground was set up primarily for an rv and very spacious. We do tent camping and easily found a nice place for everything. All basics are provided (even firewood) and Michael was very quick in communicating when we had questions. My Wife and I often do primitive style camping and this was definitely a step up from just a plot of land. There is some light traffic on a nearby road but it wasn't like being off an interstate or anything like that. The spot is on a hill and has a wonderful view of the sky including wonder sunsets and sun rises as well as great star gazing. Aside from the nice spot itself the land has a farm with a bunch of cute critters that were very social. Also, close by are places to buy anything you might need.

Relaxing Weekend!

Had a great time at the farm. Loved the animals, the donkey in particular. Our German shepherd made friends with the donkey, the cow, the pigs and tried to make friends with the goats but they were a little afraid of her. Would definite stay another weekend in the future.

Beautiful, isolated site overlooking the farm and the trees. Everything we needed for a long, relaxing weekend , plenty to do in the area, but it was wonderful just to sit and take in the scenery. Truly, a back to nature experience (as long as you include cows, bulls, goats, and donkeys in that mix). We will definitely come back here often.

Fall getaway to farm

We had a lovely view of the orchard with fall colors as a backdrop. Plenty of shade to keep the camper cool. Nice hookups and fire pit. Some traffic noise at night from the big trucks but slept well even with our windows open.

I loved staying here it’s very nice, wooded, private, & peaceful!! If you love animals you will love it also. All the farm animals are amazing and happy to see you when you visit them. Definitely want to come back! :)

Beautiful, Secluded Spot!

What a fantastic spot for a weekend camping getaway! We stayed at Site 2, which was close to the donkey, bulls, and pigs, and my three-year-old little guy loved it! Michael was very responsive via the app, and even stopped by to stay hello during our visit. His friendly dogs even stopped by to say hello a few times; my son befriended one of the little guys, and was devastated to leave his new pal! The electricity and potable water were both flowing, and Michael supplies not only a fire pit, but also the firewood needed! We hooked our Tesla up to the 30 amp RV power receptacle and had the heat going all night to keep us warm in the tent! We already booked another trip to the other site in his property next month! Can’t wait to come back!

We had an awesome time on the farm! Felt like home, and we will definitely be back! Visiting with the animals and exploring around was a great time for all of us (adults, kids & dogs!) the hosts are also great and if you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask! My husband and I camped with our dog and loved our stay! We enjoyed meeting some farm pups and walking by the cows and goats. The site overlooked the farm and provided a ton of privacy. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

The directions and communication from our host was great. We stayed at Site 2 which is right near the farm animals and has water and electric hookup. The property is beautiful, and Amy and Michael took the time to greet me when I was in the barn hanging out with their Donkey Freddie. We were able to book in relatively short notice as we had to vacate our previously scheduled campground due to the Tropical Storm.

Just an awesome place all the way around. The site we were on overlooked the blueberry patch. In the shade most of the day and they had put some lights in the trees which came on at night..... a nice touch! The hosts are incredibly hard working individuals but took the time to visit and make sure all was good with us. We enjoyed touring the farm and visiting the variety of animals. They were very generous and we will most certainly return!! Don't miss out on a fun experience.

Awesome place to camp!

We had a wonderful time staying on Michael and Amy’s property. They are such kind and generous hosts! We stayed at campsite #1 on the hilltop overlooking the blueberry orchard. It was an ideal campsite with potable water from a spigot, patio lights hanging from the treas, a fire pit with plenty of firewood and a beautiful expansive view of the land and sky. We would definitely recommend this property and plan on returning!

This was our first hipcamp experience and everything was great. The property provided a lot of privacy. We enjoyed having the farm animals nearby for our toddler to interact with. Michael and his wife were extremely nice.

Beautiful place! Stayed on Site 1 for one night in my 24’ travel trailer. Site was clean and had everything I needed. Michael was super nice. Came by to check on me while I was setting up. Would definitely stay here again. I plan to bring my two adult sons there for a guys’ weekend soon.

We had a wonderful time staying at Site one over at Mike's farm. Water and Electric hook ups made our time there more enjoyable. I had bought myself a 30-15 amp converter to power some of my electronics and Mike had already had a similar set up with his string lights. So you don't have to worry about light, power or water while you're there. He was very attentive to us. Had firewood stocked upon arrival along with a starter log and brought up some more the next day. He was very kind and we felt very welcome to be there. Our dog loved the area and got to run as much as he wanted. He enjoyed interacting with the barn animals there too. Would love to stay there again.
