Relax by the fire and enjoy a peaceful stay at Crooked Mountain.
Crooked Mountain Campground is a peaceful retreat where campers consistently praise the serene creekside spots and the soothing sound of running water. The campground offers a mix of rustic charm and practicality, with clean facilities including hot showers and strategically placed port-a-potties. The hosts are frequently commended for their friendliness and helpfulness, enhancing the welcoming atmosphere. Conveniently located near Floyd, VA, it serves as a charming base for exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway and local hikes.
This was a hidden gem of a spot, even with the short one night stay! The host are awesome! The place is well taken care of and beautiful! Close enough to the BRP or Floyd for any other fun or amenities you may require! 10/10 will be back!
It was a nice quiet stay! The dogs loved it! We walked the trail a couple of times. Convenient to downtown Floyd to get food and checking out all the little stores. We were very pleasantly surprised by not seeing any mosquitoes!
The showers were great and the Porta potties were very clean! The owners were friendly and helpful.
Loved the spot by the stream— so relaxing! We also enjoyed a short hike through the wooded area. The hosts have made a lovely walking trail for guests to explore. Wonderful store/gift shop on site with essentials and local items. Wonderful experience!!
Excellent campground. Site 6 is spacious and fairly private at the end of the row of creekside sites. Clean showers with hot water. Kind, helpful hosts. Great hiking nearby and very close to downtown Floyd. We are already thinking about our next trip to the campground. Highly recommend!
Our group of 8 rented two sites next to each other and we had the best time. Super close to Floyd, VA where we shopped for our food. The hosts were so kind and helpful 10/10 would go again if we are in the area!
This place is absolutely gorgeous. I had a wonderful little spot right on the creek. It was so quiet and peaceful that I wound up staying another night. Hosts have done an amazing job of turning the property into a place where various camping setups will work. I arrived just after Labor Day, when everyone else had left. Had the place to myself. Each camping site offers something unique. My dog and I both enjoyed the hiking trail quite a lot. It’s extra nice that they have hot showers and strategically placed port a potties. The stars at night, along with the fire in the fire pit and the sounds from the creek made for a very restful experience. Would definitely go back.
From start to finish professional, generous, clean, nice site, trail..my family felt safe. Thank you, Crooked Mountain for a relaxing environment.
Annette CV.
We all had a wonderful stay at Crooked Mountain campsite. Our site was quiet, clean and just a short drive to Rocky Knob, where we did some hiking. We loved listening to the sound of the water by the creek and stargazing at night. The hosts were also gracious to accommodate one extra camper without additional charge. Highly recommended for exploring Blue Ridge Parkway.
My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at Crooked Mountain. The site and amenities were rustic but perfectly adequate. The owners were gracious hosts and the land was beautiful! Captured a sunset and sunrise that I won't soon forget. The stars were magnificent. And we even enjoyed a walk through the flower fields and a morning hike without ever leaving the campground. The field sites are very affordably priced. Would definitely stay here again
This was our second time staying at Crooked Mountain and we absolutely love it! So comfortable, clean, and great views! We stayed at creekside 3 last time and preferred it slightly more because 2 is just a little too close to the porta potty, but both sites are beautiful. We love hearing the sounds of the cows in the distance and the running creek is such a soothing sound. We can’t wait to come back again next year!
Crooked Mountain Campground is pure magic. 🏕️🌸 Our site was next to a creek with views of the flower fields too. Very private and peaceful. I don’t think there’s a ‘bad’ site at the campsite - the whole property is amazing. . The hosts were welcoming and always available for any questions. The on-site store had everything we needed - bought some original artwork painted by one of the owners and picked some beautiful flowers. There’s a hiking trail on the property was such a nice bonus. Great showers - just perfect. ✨
Great stay! They accommodated us arriving late and were very friendly in the morning when we visited the store. Great shower facilities and camp sites!
What a wonderful place!! My partner and I were greeted by the friendly owners and sweet Roxy pup and immediately felt right at home. We enjoyed our spot right next to the creek with soothing sounds during our stay and our dogs loved having creek access. It was great to have the “creek house” to wash our dishes and the showers were superb!! Overall our favorite parts were the private hiking trail through the woods and OF COURSE the flower farm!!! Truly a special place with such kind folks - highly recommend!
Beautiful campground on a flower farm! Brought my little pup here on our way back to NY from AL. He enjoyed it as well! Well kept and easy navigate to your site. Owners were super nice too!
Peaceful, clean, spacious sites, and positive interactions with the owners. I hiked their on-site trail and had a lovely time. The sunflower field is wonderful this time of year.
Another great stay at Crooked Mountain! Such a great place to stay and ride the motorcycle routes around Floyd, VA. Looking forward to my next visit very soon.
Amazing property. The site had all I needed- toilets, showers, campfire ring w grate. Plus a really nice hiking trail. I pulled up to my site and slept in my truck. I just listened to the insects until I drifted off to sleep. A peaceful and quiet place. I will be back and next time with friends.
We had an excellent experience with the Crooked Mountain campsite. The hosts were both very friendly and accommodating, the campsites were well-maintained, and the site and pick-your-own garden were very scenic! The shower room was clean and the hot showers were greatly appreciated. Lots of local hiking nearby, plus swimming available at the Fairy Stone State Park. Would recommend!
We loved our stay at site 5. The gentle sound of the creek running by was great to fall asleep to. My son caught his first fish in the pond and was so proud. The sites had hammocks ready to go which was an added bonus. The natural shrubs between each site gave them a feeling of privacy. The camp store was well stocked with snacks, treats, and anything you might forget to pack. We hope to come back and stay again!
Great place to camp! Very attentive campground owners ( even with the festival going on) and clean facilities. Camp-store had a wide variety of items. The hiking trails, hammocks, and site access to the creek were a big hit for the kids and mom and dad! They also have a fishing pond that we will take advantage of next time. There will absolutely be a next time!
