Camping in a farm by the river
This is an excellent camping spot between corn fields and a big river. It has a nicely shaded camping area under big trees. It has swings and ropes for climbing trees. There is a huge fire pit and there are many picnic tables nearby it. There are many places where you can set up your tent. This is a place where you can go with several friends and have fun together. Although we went there as a single family with small kids we felt quite secure. At night the view of the stars is amazing.

This spot was fantastic! So private and beautiful, lots of space for our dogs to roam, big firepit, nice accommodating shelter and space for tents. I’ll definitely be back. Recommend water shoes for the river!

My favorite!
I’ve been to a bunch of different Hipcamp sites and this is probably my favorite. Very private and secluded and super peaceful. Views of the water plus you have a big site with picnic tables and there is wood available. Lots of places to park, but I wouldn’t bring a really big rig back there. I had a smaller 15 foot trailer and a jeep and it was easy to get back there. I will definitely come back!

Peace, quiet (except occasional train), views, direct river access and amenities such as covered concrete shelter and pit toilet all make this a memorable getaway.

Camping in the shade on the river
Great peaceful place to get away from it all. We felt at peace letting our dogs hit the river. Even caught some smallmouth for the first time in years.

Camping in the shade on the river
We just got back from an amazing weekend at the river and we brought all five of our dogs!!! LOL… they absolutely loved swimming! The water was nice and refreshing. The shade was perfect, making it cooler and allowing the sun to hit us only when we needed it, like when we were in the river. We’re definitely making this a regular spot. Can’t wait to go back!
