Site 4 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows

We had a great night camping here! The view was incredible and there was lots of nice dry wood available for fires and even ice for purchase. We spent some time fishing at the pond and the showers were great. We did come just after a week of heavy rain, so the access was washed away and we had to drive through a nerve-wracking amount of rushing water to get to our site, but the property manager did let us know beforehand and we were alright in the end. Overall a very pleasant and beautiful night!

This site was a good value for what you get. The view is incredible! The facilities are a bit of a walk, but there is a porta potty nearby (it was in need of service and didn't have any toilet paper). The $25 for fire wood was great and we appreciated being able to grab what we needed while we were there.

Site 1 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows

The bunkhouse at Shenandoah Meadows was an excellent spot for our weekend family getaway! Plenty of space for multiple families, with so much open space outside for fun and activities. The bathroom was clean with hot water and just a few meters from the bunkhouse. We will look forward to staying again at this property!

Amazing campsite. Me and my girlfriend stayed at camp spot #1. Which was equipped with fire pit and lots of space. Beautiful and maintained pond , soccer field and fantastic overlook on open field to mountains!

A great experience!

Our second time in this place. Everything was good, beautiful view. Nice trails. Everything clean. Good WiFi signal. Very good communication with rhe host. 100% recommend.

Not bad, just all the little things could have been a better. Bathrooms and showers have stalls, but are all (except one room) unisex and very open. Would have been nice to have doors instead of curtains on showers at a minimum if they are mixed sex. Site 3 was sortof secluded but also very clear lines of sight to two other campsites. Facilities were marked, but at a bare minimum level. Poor parking and/or long walks to either bathhouse. Not quite level tent setup area, but not rocky or muddy. A lot of bugs, but that's expected in the area. Our particular stay had very noisy and pretty obnoxious neighbors (obviously dependent on who they are). Also a couple of extra tents and people appeared Saturday night in unmarked spots. Less than a great experience overall, but not a place to necessarily avoid. The cat was very friendly, showers were warm, and firewood was plentiful. Road has been mentioned many times, but it's just a typical gravel road not to be worried about unless in a low clearance sports car.

Beautiful and remote sites with easy set up. Great scenery even got to fish on the pond. Definitely recommend this place for weekend getaways or just family time great place

Beautiful site view! Enough space for large group. Only thing is the spaces between sites. Very close. The bathroom is close to the site so you will hear other campers moving across the grass to the restroom. But otherwise no problem. I do recommend a car with all wheel drive/ SUV will be needed. But overall good experience 👍🏾

Overall the experience was great unfortunately the campsite had screws and nails throughout it and there was a beer can stuck in the ground.

Worked perfect for my needs. Tucked away in the valley between front royal and Woodstock. Quiet and spacious. The only suggestion I have is the drive in needed to be graded for people car camping

Me and my fiancé loved camping here there was so much to do from basketball to walking trails and sitting by the lake. Along with that the land was so private it was an enjoyable and enriching experience.

We absolutely loved our camping experience. We came with a 2 year old and were nervous things were gonna go smoothly, but it was awesome! Bathhouses were so clean and close to our site, there was a picnic table and a firepit ready to use. We felt safe and comfortable and can’t wait to go back!

Overall we had a nice stay, but if you're staying at the campsites, be careful about the kind of car you take to get there. The road in is bumpy, manageable though. However, the road to the campsites dips down through a small stream then back up, enough to drag the front of your car for a bit. The listing doesn't make note of this unfortunately; the only way we found out was by reading through reviews. We didn't use the facilities available, so can't say much about them. But the side was secluded and quiet.

Stay to the right side of the road when you turn on the road, very easy to go up the neighbors driveway. The cabin was comfortable, enough room for two adults and two dogs. The area is very peaceful and beautiful. The screened porch was a nice place to sit and enjoy the evenings; there was a fire ban in effect our first night and we were too tired from exploring the area the second night to have a campfire, but the firewood was plentiful. The communal bathhouse was clean with one a private bathroom that was spacious and also very clean The host was quick to answer any questions that we had. Definitely a place we would love to visit again!

Birthday Camping Weekend

My group and I came to camp for our friends birthday weekend. We LOVED campsite number two! It’s not the most private, (people who are standing up on the field above might be able to see) but it was so convenient and such a short walk to the bathhouse/fields/volleyball net. There is a place to fill up your water bottle on the side of the bathhouse, but be prepared for a more mineral-ly taste. We found two separate bathroom spaces (one had stalls for changing and a shower). Both were very clean! Our host was so accommodating and was very responsive when we texted him questions before our trip. He even told us that we could switch the site we were on when we got there if we wanted more space for our dog to run around off leash. Super kind! We had such a blast! We would definitely come back again, and we would recommend it to our friends.

We decided to go up to the mountains on a whim and glamping at Shenandoah Meadows made it more than worth while. Nothing like a hot shower on a mountain and coffee by the fire . Even our pup had a blast. We had more than enough room in the bunk house. Customer service was top tier! Can’t wait to come back again .

Beautiful Sites (#2)

What a beautiful drive to Shenandoah Meadows and of the site itself! Gorgeous camp sites (we walked pretty much all of them) with a portable outhouse within easy walking distance to every one. There is a flush toilet & shower but we didn’t use. We got in only a few minutes before dark and had to leave early the next morning so couldn’t explore as much as we’d have liked. There is no cell reception which makes it a great disconnect place!

I thoroughly enjoyed camping here. There was one other site in use nearby but we were far enough apart that there was no bother whatsoever. I would highly recommend as the view was great and the site had everything we needed.
