We welcome you to our view of the great outdoors. We are 30 minutes from the entrance of the well known Skyline Drive, part of the Shenandoah National Park. We are surrounded by multiple hikes, restaurants, breweries and wineries less than a 30 minute trip! Onsite we have numerous amenities open to all camping guests which include, fish stocked pond, large swimming pool, basketball court, and soccer field. We welcome you to stay with us and enjoy our 40 acre view!   This camp was previously operated as a summer camp for large groups, but will now be open to groups of all sizes including campers throughout the year! This is new for the camp and the new owner, but we’re excited about hosting everyone going forward! Welcome!

Site 2 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows
This was a perfect site for camping as it had tree cover to hang a tarp over your tent setup, just above the pond with some pretty nice wildlife sounds throughout the stay.

Site 3 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows
Nice campground near farmland
1st time using HipCamp, but not our 1st time tent camping! The views around the campground were lovely, but @ Site #3 where we stayed there were no views, however, very private, compared to other sites. My friends stayed in Site #2 & they had the best view! As far as location, I was not aware of this site being next to a working farm, or else I would have not booked because I specifically filtered those sites out when finding a place to stay near Shenandoah Nat’l Park on HipCamp. On Tuesday of our stay, the entire day we heard farm work being done and it was not relaxing at all. We also smelled cow manure for much of that day. As far as bathroom goes, the campground bathrooms were just ok and to be expected from a campground…what we experienced was different from what we expected based on the other reviews that said the bathrooms were in amazing condition. My husband felt there should have been water access a little bit closer for campers. If you like field camping this may be for you, but if you like woodland/forest camping/state park style camping this may not be for you. I would say it was worth the trip though! We traveled outside the campground to Seven Bends State Park and Woodstock Tower which were all nearby and equally beautiful. Overall, I am glad we came and my kids had a great time. We would come back and stay in a cabin next time!

Site 5 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows
Great camping spot!
My family and I stayed on site 5 for Father’s Day weekend and it was great! VERY spacious spot, beautiful view and despite our site being the furthest from the other amenities, it was a very short walk to the rest of the property. We will definitely be coming back!! Only complaint, the portable potty near the tent sites was very overdue for a cleaning.

Tiny Cabin 1
This is literally the perfect place for a great get-away in nature and comfort! We stayed in Cabin1 and would not change anything! Just 20min from town incase we needed to get anything. Not to self, next time bring fishing rodes for the pond! We'll definitely be coming back!

Site 1 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows
The land was beautiful and the site was well-maintained. Very quiet and private. Bathrooms were spotless and easily accessible. My car has 2WD and made it up to the site with no issues. Make sure you have strong tent stakes, the ground is a bit hard.

Site 6 - Retreat at Shenandoah Meadows
Beautiful site nestled between the trees with amazing views of the sky, mountain ridges, open land and everything in between. Had an awesome time at site 6!
