Escape to a peaceful 15-acre valley in Castlewood, Virginia, where you can relax beside a flowing stream, cool off in the pond, and enjoy a quiet camping experience surrounded by nature. Bakers Rest offers three dispersed RV and tent sites with plenty of open space to choose your preferred setup. The property is tucked into a small hollow between two ridges, with a lively branch flowing through the middle and a peaceful rural setting that’s perfect for relaxing or exploring. Sites can accommodate up to six guests, with vehicles under 18 feet recommended. Amenities include potable water, a toilet, an electrical hookup, and campfires are allowed. Pets are welcome, so your four-legged companions can join the adventure. Because of the terrain, 4WD is recommended for easier access. Spend your days relaxing by the pond, paddling from the dock, exploring the property, or simply enjoying the sights and sounds of the surrounding valley.

Welcome to our little piece of heaven, this is a small hollow between two ridges. Roaring branch flows through the middle between the pond and the main field. Pick your spot near the branch or at the base of the hill or camp near the pond. One spot secluded at the far end of the pond accessible on foot only. There’s a foot bridge across the branch to the outhouse trail. We’re hoping to add amenities as we go, for now it’s fairly rustic. We are close to the Guest river trail and hanging rock. Also Abingdon and Bristol are not far away. Also kayaking on the Clinch river with access points within about 8 miles. Upon arrival you may be greeted and escorted by Sir Perceval our Lab mix who is bossy but friendly and loves to meet new people.
