We are nestled down a quiet road in the heart of the King Valley wine region of northeast Victoria. We run a lifestyle property with some mischievous goats, Scottish Highland cattle, horses, chooks & 3 crazy dogs. Our local area is jam-packed with loads to do. Wineries a plenty, great food, & great pubs. You can spend your days relaxing & enjoying the fruits someone else's labour. If you are after something more energetic; we are close to some of Victoria's best 4wding. You can test your limits or simply go searching for our iconic high country huts. During the winter, you can day trip to the snowfields. If this is not your scene you can simply enjoy the lights of Mt Buller ski resort as you sit around your campfire at night. Our area is steeped in Ned Kelly history, where you can retrace his footsteps throughout the district. Dog friendly, campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place & firewood included. Secluded set-up
Fantastic camping spot! We arrived after sunset and there was a handy map on the gate to guide us in. Great camping site, flat and without any large rocks or impediments. Nice, functional firepit with good firewood nearby. Awesome toilet too. We were separated from our camping neighbours (was just us at the time) which would provide privacy and space.

Gorgeous spot! I got to enjoy a couple of nights with the whole site to myself, though I think even if there were other campers, there's plenty of space and privacy between sites. As others have mentioned, toilet facilities are great and well maintained and there's firewood provided. It's a short drive into Moyhu, where the pub serves great meals and the cafe does a good coffee. It's also a great base for exploring further afield - I spent a day up on Mt Buffalo doing some bushwalks and then headed up to Lake William Hovell for an afternoon swim to cool off. Would definitely recommend to other campers.

Sunbury was spot on for a camp in the King Valley region. Well maintained, beautiful environment for a relaxing few days. Quiet and secluded enough and only a short drive to town.

We loved camping on Mill site 2 in our rooftop tent. It was hot during the day, but cooled enough in the evening so we could enjoy toasted marshmallows on an open fire, while watching the most amazing sunset

An idilic farm getaway
We loved camping at Ellimatta! This was such a lovely and private farm stay in the King Valley. The site was large and flat and well separated from the other sites. Lisa was a lovely host and popped down to make sure we were all settled. We especially loved the huge supply of firewood included as well as visiting the highland cows in the next paddock over. The night sky was beautiful and we spent the night sitting around the campfire and watching the stars

Very well maintained camp sites
We pitched our tent at the lovely Heyfield campsite for 3 days. It was meant to be 4 days but that part of Victoria was rocked by storms and LOTS of rain for our first day so we gave it a miss. I was a bit worried about driving my little Corolla through the driveway and the paddock but it was absolutely fine, so if you have a 2wd thankfully this isn't a limiting factor. 👍 We saw people around maintaining the property, checking/restocking the toilets every day - so if you had a query or anything they'd be easy to find. We didn't have any queries, all was as we expected and everything was great. From the Heyfield campsite you can see your fellow campers, but it is quiet and definitely not crowded. I had phone reception (unfortunately, haha) the whole time, and I'm not with Telstra. The host makes good recommendations for the area and those are conveniently placed in the toilet, so you have something to read while you visit the loo!
