Nestled in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont, Sky Hollow Farm has a rich history spanning from an 1800s sheep farm to its transformation into a summer camp, and now our beautiful homestead where we keep pigs, horses, chickens, and a lush vegetable garden. This 120-acre property boasts 3 swimming ponds, a wood-fired sauna, a lovely creek, and miles of hiking and biking trails connecting directly to Rochester's network of Ridgeline mountain biking trails and the National Forest. Not to mention, Sky Hollow is minutes from Killington, Sugarbush, and Mad River Glen for world-renowned skiing and snowboarding. The Hunter Cabin or Creek Cabin are excellent choices for a tranquil nature retreat. These one-bedroom cabins offer a unique stay with minimalistic, quaint furnishings. Both kitchens are equipped with a refrigerator, stove-top, and cooking utensils. These spaces also offer outdoor amenities including an outdoor shower and outhouse. Dogs are welcome and must be leashed or under voice command at all times. A pet fee of $50 per pet for any length of stay is required. Sorry, but no cats allowed due to allergy concerns. There are free-range chickens on the property. All walking trails are available to guests and are marked. Please avoid areas around other buildings on Sky Hollow to allow all guests their privacy. All barns and sheds are also private. The Village of Rochester features great eateries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a bakery, a lovely public library, art gallery, antique store, a great playground at the elementary school, swimming holes, yoga studio, and more. It is within driving distance of larger towns like Rutland and Killington, Middlebury, Waitsfield, and Warren, and West Lebanon NH for day trips. Public transportation is a 20+ minute drive away - a vehicle is necessary (4-wheel drive and snow tires are required in the winter months). Parking for 1-2 vehicles is available. The owner has golden retriever (Kodak) - he is friendly and (usually!) well-behaved but does bark and run to greet you, so please drive slowly and don't be alarmed! We also have 1 cat and several friendly horses who occasionally graze in view of the cabins. Please be aware of electrified fencing (especially with small children!). Maple syrup and eggs are offered for sale when available. Please consider that you may or may not have cell service during your stay - AT&T has good coverage, but Verizon is spotty... there is a nice rock (Lion King Rock) on the mountaintop where it works well! Check coverage maps for other carriers. While all of our spaces have high-speed WiFi, incredible views, shared access to the sauna, swimming pond, and trails; Sky Hollow Farm has the ability to offer a variety of experiences. Get away in this quiet cabin in a large meadow at the end of the road. Trails, a swimming pond, fire pit and a sauna all surround the cabin. Enjoy a cup of coffee with stunning mountain views from the front porch. Fully equipped kitchen, minus the out of order oven (stovetop works). Enjoy the outdoor shower surrounded by flower gardens and a well equipped outhouse. The cabin is rustic, private, and cozy. It is comfortably furnished and has a new memory foam double bed and high speed wifi. The cabin is surrounded by flower gardens, lawn, a vegetable garden, sauna and swimming pond which overlook meadows and pasture with horses. Stunning 30 mile views to Killington southwards off the front porch. This beautiful space, tucked in a hilltop hollow, is perfect for an in-nature or meditative retreat and is only 2 miles to the village of Rochester. The water at the cabin is NOT potable, but water is provided for arrival and guests can refill their water container from a drilled artesian well (excellent water!). Please see check in instructions for more information. Solar electricity powers lights and is ample for charging cell phones. There is no microwave or toaster. Gas stovetop (no oven), supplemental heat and mini fridge are provided. Other than a clothes line, there are no laundry facilities on site but the Town of Rochester has a small laundromat. The cabin is kept clean and neat, mindful maintenance of the space, composting and recycling is expected. Trash and recycling is picked up by Jess or Gus when requested. A dog is welcome with pre-approval. They should either be leashed or under voice command. A pet fee of $50 per pet for any length of stay is required. The cabin is set up for 2 guests, but there is an option of pitching a tent if needed. Guests have access to the entire cabin, the vegetable garden, swimming pond, fire pit and sauna. All walking trails are available to guests, and are marked. Please avoid areas around other buildings on Sky Hollow to allow all guests their privacy. All barns and sheds are also private. No fees for use of the sauna are required, but donations are accepted to help cover the costs of firewood. Your hosts live in the main peach farmhouse. We request our privacy and will respect yours, but want to be sure your stay with us is as comfortable as possible, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us! Generally, the area is very quiet, and everyone knows to be respectful of space, privacy and noise. The Cabin is located beyond the end of the dirt road - (1 mile up from Route 100 North). There is minimal traffic other than owners or other guests who may come to swim, enjoy the sauna, or hike. The village of Rochester features great eateries for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a bakery, a lovely public library, art gallery, antique store, a great playground at the elementary school, swimming holes, yoga studio, and more, and it is within driving distance of larger towns like Rutland and Killington, Middlebury, Waitsfield and Warren, and West Lebanon NH for day trips.

Cozy cabin located in the woods by a creek on a quiet hilltop farm. Ideal for a relaxing retreat or a couples getaway. Sauna, swimming pond, stunning views, and miles of hiking and mountain biking trails within short walking distance. Fully equipped kitchen, Wifi, and linens provided. Private outdoor shower and outhouse. The creek cabin is rustic, cozy, and comfortably furnished featuring a recliner, loveseat, and full size memory foam bed. A small dining table accents the fully equipped kitchen along with a refrigerator and a working antique gas stovetop - oven is out of order. ** Please note that our road is very steep, 4x4 is recommended, especially during rainy and snow melt seasons ** The cabin is tucked into the woods between a creek and a road with very minimal traffic. Bathroom amenities consist of an outhouse and outdoor shower. Delicious drinkable water runs to the cabin from our artesian well, as well as electricity. Relax on the outdoor back deck (furnished with a small table and chairs), or go for a hike, swim, or sauna with a short walk up the road. There are no laundry facilities on site but the Town of Rochester has a small laundromat. The cabin is kept clean and neat; mindful maintenance of the space, composting and recycling is expected. The Creek Cabin At Sky Hollow Farm
This cabin was so lovely and peaceful. We stayed 2 nights with our dog while traveling in Vermont and it was perfect. Cute little cabin with a bed, couch, kitchen. I hope to come stay here again one day.

The cabin and property were AMAZING. We honestly could not recommend this place more, so tranquil and rustic but plenty of more modern comforts. Really amazing stay.

We had a wonderful time at Sky Hollow Farm. The cabin is in a very secluded and beautiful location near the lake and has great views of the farm. The cabin was really spacious and well equipped, and the sauna was really luxurious. I would definitely stay again.
