Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

Welcome to our wooded haven, offering a rustic camping experience amidst nature's embrace. With over 20 acres of forested land, complete with a babbling brook and extensive hiking trails, you'll find tranquility at every turn. Just a short distance from Lake Elmore, the Elmore General Store, and Elmore Mountain, our location provides easy access to local amenities and outdoor adventures. As stewards of the land, we cherish its beauty and hope you'll do the same. Our camping area offers primitive accommodations with no facilities currently available. Please remember to bring your own camping toilet and pack out all trash. We're in the process of setting up picnic tables and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Rumor has it that Sasquatch pays us a visit every spring, particularly in early April. While we can't guarantee a sighting, the allure of encountering this legendary creature adds to the mystique of our surroundings. Feel free to explore the photos provided, showcasing the scenic beauty of Lake Elmore, nearby hiking trails, and the majestic Elmore Mountain. Unfortunately, we don't have any snapshots of Sasquatch – at least not yet. So come prepared for adventure and immerse yourself in the untamed wilderness that awaits!Designated campsites along hiking trail and along the brook. These sites are great for campers who want to experience nature and still be a short walk from their vehicle. As with all sites on Sasquatch Acres, there are no facilities, so please bring your own camping toilet and leave nature the way you found it.

Campfires allowed

Firepit, communal. Some of the sites have designated fire pits. Others do not. If you have chosen a site that currently has no fire pit, you can use one of the community fire pits in the open field. We also have firewood for sale onsite.

Pets allowed

On leash. We love dogs, and we want to continue to have a dog friendly environment. Please keep your dogs on leash. 🐕‍🦺🐾

The owner was very helpful with finding the campsite and set out firewood, two hammocks and other seating arrangements. This is a lovely property a I would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun weekend away.

Sasquatch Acres was fantastic! Willy Jane was an excellent host, we had a blast staying there for the eclipse. I am excited to see how they expand as a Hipcamp host, their property is beautiful!

A Total Eclipse of the Heart

14 ft pop-up camper

Our hosts were very accommodating despite us having some issues with timing and getting there and provided us with the best guidance on getting our little rig onsite so that we could experience a once in a lifetime eclipse for us. It was mud season so even though the lower fields were closed we were still able to setup in the upper fields

We had a great time camping on Willy Jane’s property for the 2024 solar eclipse! Beautiful part of Vermont and secluded. Multiple options for camping throughout the site, including open field areas or within the woods. Willy Jane was helpful, friendly, and communicative during our 2-night stay.

Willy Jane and Patrick were great hosts. They gave privacy but also checked to make sure everyone had everything the needed. They were generous and helpful! The property include a large swath of forest with a river where we were welcomed to explore. We stayed for the eclipse and had a great trip. Thanks for the hospitality!

We were looking for a place to watch the 2024 solar eclipse. They were very accommodating, gave us a fair price, and helped us find the perfect spot on their land to view it. They were very friendly and we are planning on going back during the summer.

We were welcomed very well at WillyJane’s land. Unfortunately, a snow storm hit a few days before our trip, but the owners spent a lot of time shoveling the snow so that everyone could still park. There was lots of space on the property to pitch a tent, and enough space for privacy away from other campers. No individual picnic table or fire pit yet, but everything else was great

Very friendly host, great eclipse experience! Early April in Vermont was muddy, in spring at least don't plan on parking next to your campsite. Summer it may be possible. Lots of people the night and day we stayed due to the eclipse but it was still spread out enough to not feel crowded. The road isn't a busy one so no traffic noise and great stargazing.
