With Happiness offering a few different campsites, I chose the Palm Beach site for its location near the creek , the fire pit and the opportunity to try my hand at panning for the “shiny stuff”. The surrounding land is beautiful. Janet is very pleasant, informative and brought me a handful of Concord grapes fresh from the vine. Petting a few of the Nubian goats was a fun experience. Fantastic camping!

Great spot! Open field, lots of sun, and somehow private!
Very quiet except for a project (apparently) up the road with truck traffic and chainsaws until 8:00 Saturday night- but I think that was unusual judging by the surrounding area.

Janet was very kind and attentive. I messaged her about meeting the goats and she responded instantly. She made us feel welcomed and at home. And we loved on Mario, Luigi and momma LouEllen (sp?)!

This was such an amazing spot!
Very scenic and felt very private.
The brook right at the site was truly magical. Small fish and frogs abound with some salamanders also swimming around.
If you follow the brook up the hill you'll find a foundation for an old mill and there are plenty of paths which appear to be deer paths winding around the brook.
So much to explore!
There are chairs around the fire pit and a standard size picnic table provided.
The site is mainly gravel and mostly level.
The walk from the site to the parking area is very short but you'll still have to be carrying your stuff to the site so keep that in mind.
I will say a surprising thing to me what that there weren't many mosquitos! I'm a mosquito magnet and it really was very minimal. I'm not saying don't bring bug repellant though!
To hear the brook all night was so soothing.
There was also Barred Owls hooting back and forth which was really cool to hear.
Tom provided us with a large jug of potable water and sold us firewood
Overall I would return and do recommend this site!

We camped here for the night while attending the horse show at Guilford Fair. We had three teenagers and two horses and we all had so much fun! Our hosts were absolutely fantastic! We will be headed back again!

Old barn site
The property was beautiful and peaceful, our site was very peaceful and although it was close to the barn and house we had plenty of privacy and the animals were not a bother at all. Beautiful view from the site and amazing stargazing. The host was friendly and responsive . Would honestly camp at kindness again if we were in the area.

Peaceful, private and amazing Star gazing! We pulled right up to the address provided and followed clear signage to the site with two dogs. We all loved the tranquility, sitting by the fire and listening to the sounds of nature.

Had such a lovely night staying by the soothing water and sounds of owls in the distance. Panning for gold and observing the aquatic life at night was so fun. Janet was very friendly and helpful all the way through and will be recommending her to everyone!

This was an amazing spot. Very private and quiet, and you really feel like you are in nature. Hosts were excellent at communication and all our questions were answered quickly. The site was well maintained, and the Adirondack chairs and picnic table were a great addition.

The spot was welcoming, clean and even had jugs of water to ensure the campfire was properly extinguished ---even though we did not make a fire ----I thought wow, nice "touch". Also the spot is super private and quiet yet close to Brattleboro. Thanks for the great stay!

The spot was nice and private, despite being out in an open field. The privacy was due to a nice copse of trees, separating a section of field from the road (which was not very busy. There was a small sign at the entrance to the field which was great as we have been to places where we were not fully certain about having found the correct site.
We liked the picnic table, fire pit and chairs. There was some wood to burn handy.
Although the feild is sloping, we found a couple of areas level enough to enjoy sleeping.

This site was truly awesome! Such an amazing escape and so much to explore. Janet was awesome at communicating and also gave us some tips for some nearby hikes to enjoy. I’d definitely recommend this place and I can’t wait to come back!

The Palm Beach was the perfect secluded spot for my dogs first camping experience. It was toasty outside but the brook was perfect and had a nice little breeze. Janet was a great communicator. Would book again!

This was a beautiful campsite next to a calming peaceful creek. It was quiet and fair fairly secluded, which was exactly what I was looking for. I got the creek to myself and a whole hiking trail as well. The campsite was set up beautifully for me and I spent a lot of time sitting by the creek. My only criticism is that I took the summit trail, but it kind of ended in the middle of the forest with no signage so I turned around and went back without making it to the summit, or at least I don’t think I was at the summit. Other than that, a beautiful evening in a beautiful site. Thank you!

We loved everything in there, the land was incredible, Moon Dance is a great option for family and plenty of people because have a big open area. Th only thing what we didn’t like in people walking next to and close to you camping area so is not 100% private but the rest was incredible. Me and my family will come back soon

We had the best time at Janet's- the most amazing spot to camp with a big group. Picnic table, adirondack chairs, the creek was gorgeous and we could swim in it, and the parking is so close to the site that it made transporting things super easy. We had 4 cars packed with stuff and 8 guests, we all fit comfortably and had a great set up. Super easy to get there, parking and getting to site was a breeze, and Janet was an exceptional host. She gave us some great reccomendations of things to do in the area, gave us some historical knowledge about the indigenous tribes that used to live on the land, and invited us to see some of her farm animals. I can't recommend Palm Beach enough, 10/10 best hip camping i've done in a while- we will definitely be returning!

A beautiful, peaceful place to relax in good company. Janet was a kind and thoughtful host. My friends and I had an amazing time staying at her camp. We felt far away from civilization but close enough to get whatever we needed in town. Amazing stars at night. And the field full of fireflies made great company.

This was my second stay at Kindness. Janet and Tom are accommodating and flexible, and they’re also really good people. I think that they sincerely want to share their beautiful land with others and there is a lot of it. Palm Beach is great spot and a lot to explore up and around the waterfall. It was a little warm so I walked in the brook and it felt great. Next time, I might try another site. I had a meeting and needed a full-proof internet connection so I asked Janet if I could sit near the barn. “Drive right up into the site…” and it is a great spot. Private and very pretty. Janet and Tom, thank you for another great camping experience. I highly recommend Kindness.

I discovered that it is a beautiful and very private spot. All three sites are very private. I highly recommend camping at Kindness. Janet and Tom, thank you for another great camping experience.

The campsite is situated in a beautiful area with rolling fields, forest, and rocky streams everywhere. It’s also in a settled area and you hear cars/trucks/motorcycles go by day and night though not too frequently. We loved the variety of birds we heard as well as coyote howls! We didn’t have any wildlife visits, however, the owner has a flock of guinea fowl who eat the ticks (heavily infested area-come prepared!) and also has baby goats right now. The campsite was accessible driving through a field- we drove a minivan and an old Trailblazer and the area experienced a lot of rain which meant muddy, slippery travels. While we made it up to the site, I wouldn’t risk my vehicles again. We bottomed out on the path that goes through the grove and were concerned about the mud causing us to be stuck. Use the path that goes around. This area of VT has dirt roads that were very slippery and heavily compacted leading to the area where the site was. The site itself held two larger tents and a pop up with plenty of room to spare. While we found some relatively flat spaces for tents, be mindful of how you set up! The host was at the site on our arrival and was very welcoming and friendly. We paid extra for firewood so I expected $60 of split, seasoned, dry wood. We got some split wood and kindling, and a lot of scavenged wood. All was damp. We would probably camp here again at a different site and buy firewood locally.

Janet was so kind and so accommodating. The campsite was alongside a big field and a grocer of trees and the full moon was so beautiful above the site! We originally booked the break side spot, but due to heavy rain the bridge to the site washed out, but Janet quickly made the other site available to us and it was perfect! We forgot a frying pan and Janet was kind enough to share hers and a pitcher of fresh water! We will be back again some time!!!

We really enjoyed the space for one night. Janet was very welcoming and we loved getting to meet her goat mama and the babies Mario and Luigi! My kids had a blast getting to bottle feed them! The space was by their home but more private than some, as the barn gives you some privacy. We did a lovely hike at a close by environmental education center. We also enjoyed watching her guinea hens! No one was at the tent site so we also enjoyed walking over to the creek spot, so beautiful!
