My sister and I had a wonderful camping experience and Heidi was a fantastic host. We were delayed a day due to weather and Heidi responded to our messages very quickly. The campsite was gorgeous with sting lights, a picnic table, fire pit, and hammock. The site was secluded from the rest of the farm so we had privacy. However the farm is on a busy road and close to an intersection, so you can hear the trucks and cars passing by. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed our time and the restaurant recommendations Heidi gave us.

Pigeon Hill Farm was nothing short of magical.
You arrive and meet with the host, Heidi, by the mid 1800's general store stuck in another century. (In the best ways.) Heidi matched the tranquility of this special place and immediately made us feel most welcome! The camp site is tucked away on this large parcel of land that is being currently used in a variety of ways, one of which is a destination wedding venue. You can see why when you arrive. It's everything you'd hope a Northern Vermont farm to be.
The beautiful barns, a picturesque victorian home and old commerce buildings surrounded by an English garden straight out of a historical fiction scene. The back of the property has a large meadow with a view, a mowed area (they use as over flow parking) and a wooded area that backs up to one of their gardens. The camp site is hidden in that wooded area.
The camping area was perfectly placed and every detail was thought out. You walk through this small clearing of the wooded area into a larger clearing with everything you'd need. A hammock (the most pleasant surprise), a picnic table, a fire pit/cooking grate, firewood (and plenty of it! They even provided kindling!), a croquet set, a nicely mulched squeaky clean tent area and charming globe string lights hung on the trees by the hammock/table. Heidi even provided a dutch oven for us to make our pot roast stew.
The clean restroom was located in the wedding barn, only a short walk through a path lined with a curious but shy flock of free-range chickens. Running water and a flush toilet makes this camping trip extra easy. Convenient camper parking is just a few feet from the site in the empty mowed area they use for overflow parking when they host the weddings.
All in all this spot was great for camping get-away! My three-year-old loved every second, especially exploring the gardens and trying to befriend a cautious chicken or two. My friend joined us and even as an all female crew of three, never once felt in danger! We also didn't even get a single tick while there, which if you camp often is a MAJOR perk.
