Grateful Acres Vermont

Fantastic Experience. Ok - so winter camping takes a certain kind of willingness and the place and space paid off big time. It ended up snowing (bonus!) quite a bit and would've probably been uncomfortable without really good gear but all worked out great. The The greeting upon arrival included all sorts of hospitality. So glad to've experienced Sunshine Cabin.

The area is right in the middle of the forest which made for a fun drive and just a beautiful landscape. We got unlucky that the first night was uniquely cold and windy but the host was so great at trying to accommodate and keep us warm. She was very available and considerate. I would highly recommend this place for the scenery and the host!

Fantastic communication! The road into this site was fantastic! The site was as advertised. Noah and his mother Steffanie run a beautiful grateful Dead themed property! We stayed in sight one I had a picnic table and a fire pit Wood was close by and reasonably priced at five dollars!

Absolutely wonderful place! The views of both sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, the location is perfect, and the property is very well maintained. Our host, Stephanie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Grateful Acres is just 25 minutes from great restaurants and coffee shops, and only 5 minutes from the stunning Somerset Reservoir and nearby hiking trails. We loved our stay and would love to come back!

Did one night tent camping while passing through the area on the rainiest night haha. I didn’t meet anyone on site but Stephanie was super fast replying via messages! Tent site was level and clean with a lot of space, there was a fire grate and picnic table and the pit toilet was seriously the nicest pit toilet I’ve used (only pit toilet I’ve ever called aesthetically pleasing!). You do need to drive a 7-mile dirt road to reach the property, it was fine for my Prius (just some very minor washboarding in a few places) but if you also have a city car you’ll definitely be driving a bit slower than Google Map‘s estimate.

Truly amazing . . Absolutely stunning sunrise and sunset . The views were incredible . The hospitality was great. The daydream cabin was wicked cozy and comfortable . If your looking to Truly get away from it all grateful acres os the place to be if I could live there year round I would . Extremely off grid but that's what its all about getting away from the hustle and bustle . Highly recommend you won't be disappointed. We will be returning for sure . Thank you Stephanie for a amazing weekend . Not fade away 🩵✌️🦚

What a beautiful and peaceful stay in Southern Vermont! The property is idyllic with a laid back and welcoming vibe and a stunning view for sunset. The sunshine cabin was clean, cozy, and comfortable. Stephanie was kind, helpful and responsive. Our dog loved running freely around the property and had even more fun than we did. I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a quiet and beautiful time in nature.

Beautiful remote location surrounded by hiking trails. Hosts definitely put a lot of care into the location and decor. Cute little outhouse and a firepit with a poker and chairs, everything we needed. Their son Noah especially helpful in getting us settled in and Stephanie was flexible with having us switch into a cabin last minute, since we accidentally planned our trip during an early Nor’easter. Nearby towns were cute and charming.

Nor' easter vacation

Our second time here! As beautiful as always despite the Nor' Easter coming through. So glad we chose to stay in a cabin this time because I don't know if we would've survived with the intense winds we got 😂. Stephanie would also check in on us occasionally which was super nice and promptly answered any questions I had! Despite the cold weather, it was so relaxing. Can't wait to come back again 😊

Sunshine cabin made for the perfect fall trip. A heater, extra cot and sleeping bags made us extra cozy. Grateful Acres is surrounded by Mountain View’s and a short walk/drive to the somerset resevoir and so many other hiking trails. Stephanie and her family were so kind and helpful leading up and during our stay. I appreciated the friendly check ins and trail advice! I hope to stay again!

The host is nice and provided everything I need. It was a bit cold on the night I stayed there but still a great experience. Actually the “Solar shower” doesn’t work as I expect but doesn’t matter much anyway because it was too cold to take a shower that day. Will come back if I had a chance and will opt for the cabin next time.

My husband, our pups and I loved tent camping at Grateful Acres! The sites are secluded with beautiful views and stargazing at night 😍. Noah was very accommodating and provided great recommendations for activity in the area. We loved hiking at the reservoir and walking around Wilmington, which was a scenic drive. We can not recommend Stephanie’s land more highly! Grateful Acres is so beautiful- especially under a starry night sky. She has thought of all of the extra touches to make your camping adventure perfect. We will be back as much as possible!
