This place is absolutely amazing! We loved every minute of our stay. If you’re looking for a private, spacious getaway with incredible sunsets, this is the perfect spot.
Brian was an exceptional host who went above and beyond by gifting us fresh eggs for breakfast and cucumbers to enjoy with our dinner. Those thoughtful touches made our stay even more special.

I enjoyed camping on For Dogs Farm. I had another amazing stay with my dog. The place has a wonderful view for sunset and stargazing. Brian is a friendly and hospitable host. I had the opportunity to meet and play with his dogs.

We had another fantastic stay at "For Dogs Farm". Brian is welcoming and his dogs are friendly. The lean-to is still in great shape, well-stocked with firewood, the privy is now located very close-by which is much more convenient. There was heat tape on the water pipes for the outdoor shower to prevent them from freezing and sufficient hot water so we were able to use that. We were also able to drive right up to the lean-to this time as the fields were dry. Our host was available if we were to have any issues or need anything (we did not). Our dog was able to play a little bit with the host dogs (there are 3 spaniel-type energetic pups). The views were spectacular as always.

I actually don't think that I've ever slept better while camping. The views were beyond amazing. I showed up right as the sun was setting (*Pro tip- download your map. I intended to arrive earlier but lost service and had to back track to get Google maps going again). Brian offered to lend me a lantern to help me set up. All three lovely dogs came to wish me goodnight as I was setting up. I also woke up to use the bathroom once in the middle of the night and said "wow" to myself out loud - you're quite a way from city lights so the stars are absolutely amazing.
This was a great find; I highly recommend.

I had an unforgettable experience at For Dog Farm!! 🤩 The campsite is well maintained and has beautiful views. Away from the noise of the city, this campsite is perfect for connecting with the simplicity that nature offers, whether meditating, watching birds, mountains, clouds, sunrise, sunset or sleeping under the stars. Brian was very kind in welcoming me and my dog. He allowed me to take some vegetables from his lush garden and he also guided me with camping things that I am learning. I can't wait to return and see how it looks like in different seasons.

Brian's property was absolutely beautiful! We loved exploring the trails and the farm. The views from the lean-to were amazing and we enjoyed the option of being able to sleep under cover while still enjoying the night air and sounds. Brian was a kind and generous host, and our dog loved playing with his three sweet English setters. We hope we can stay again!

A little piece of paradise! The views, the privacy, the lean-to, the clean and cute outhouse, all makes this a magical place to stay. Brian our host was great. and told us about places to go swimming with our dogs. We hope to go back again!

We loved camping at Brian’s lean-to. The property is soooo QUIET at night, spacious and has a beautiful unobstructed view of the mountains. Far away from any busy roads. It’s far enough away from Brian’s house that it still feels private. Brian was super generous. He provided a stack of dry wood for campfires and even a dozen eggs from his chickens. He was friendly when we saw him, but never invaded our space while staying on his land. The outhouse was clean and convenient, right behind the lean-to. The outdoor shower is attached to the main house. That is also where we got our potable water. It was also clean. We were not backpacking, so we brought a wagon to transport our stuff from the car to the lean-to. That was super convenient. We would love to stay here again one day:-)

This was one of my favorite trips I have ever taken. At first glance on Hipcamp you think oh man this will be great. When you arrive you are like holy cow this is amazing. The view is absolutely gorgeous from sunrise too sunset just absolutely stunning. Brian is also an amazing host. Very friendly and generous especially with the pup allowing her to free roam his property. A lot to do around the area and amazing hikes. I recommend this to anyone who loves the outdoors and is willing to get down and dirty. The shower is also great.
Some tips: gets cold at night so be prepared.
The walk to car and site is a good walk so make sure to make your trips worth it.
And make sure to just enjoy that view and surrounding scenery.

Brian’s lean to is a campers paradise! It has everything you need and nothing that you don’t. We loved having a warm shower and outhouse and the peace and quiet was much welcome. Wonderful stars and views of the mountains. Brian was very kind and generously shared his fruits and veggies with us which made our stay even more memorable. We would love to stay here again any time and can’t recommend enough.

Amazing stay at Brian's property. It's so calm and peaceful. He let us harvest anything in the garden, the blueberries was perfect for our morning porridge.
Additionally the warm outside shower was more than appreciated after a long day hiking.

We loved this campsite. We thought it might be odd camping in someone's backyard but it was very laid-back and didn't feel like we were intruding. The lean-to is brand new and is very clean, along with the outhouse. It is quite a walk (maybe 200 yards) from the driveway/parking area/house to the shelter and a decent walk from there to the outhouse (maybe 100 yards). Brian welcomed us upon arrival and guided us to the shelter with a lantern (it was dark), which was very helpful. He was very kind and laid-back. He has two very friendly dogs and also chickens, which were fenced in. There was ample firewood and a nice firepit. There is a table, 2 rocking chairs, and a picnic table as well. There is a clump of trees behind the shelter and the rest is a farm/fields, with forest beyond. It's on a hill so a bit windy but fantastic views of the sunset, mountains, and stars. Even though you can see the house from inside the shelter it still feels relatively private. The shower is clean, has plenty of hot water, and works well. We'd definitely return!

Overall I had a nice experience. Brian was very friendly and accommodating and even loaned me a battery lantern for some extra while during my stay. The view from the lean-to and the sunset I saw was one of the most beautiful I've seen in a long time.
Unfortunately a couple things I thought other campers should be aware of. The land around the lean-to and over to where the outhouse is located as well as down to the house where the outside shower is located was extremely wet. Also if you need water for drinking, which I did as I was traveling by bike. Unless you want water from the hose, which I find questionable for drinkability then Brian has to fill it for you from inside his house, which he was willing to do. If he isn't around your only choice is the hose.

Brian has created a great spot with everything you’d need for a comfortable campsite. I took my girls for a quick camping trip and appreciated the precut and available firewood. Perfect spot for a couple or a small group of friends with a few tents.
Brian’s home is visible from the site; however, it still felt very private. The walk to the site from the parking area is about 2minutes, so a little wagon would be handy!
Brian dropped off some fresh corn from his garden, which was a tasty treat! Neat spot!

We loved camping at Brian’s farm, it was beautiful and peaceful and although we slept in tents we loved having the lean to for storage keeping our stuff off of the ground and organized. Brain was super friendly as well his dogs, he let us pick some vegetables, we picked carrots, onions, peppers, squash, zucchini, and tomatoes and cooked with them for our meals and they were delicious. We also liked that there was great outdoor shower with hot water just a short walk away as well as outhouse. Lastly our group loved the remote feel as it is the only site on his property and waking up to a beautiful view of the mountains.

Brian's property is very lovely. He has chickens, and bee's and you can tell he puts a lot of effort Into keeping the his land nice. Beautiful night sky, and foggy sunrised from the mountains top views from the lean to. Definitely would go back! He has two very adorable pups that would love other puos to play with I am sure.

We had a WONDERFUL time at For Dogs Farm! Despite wet, rainy, MUDDY weather- we had a beautiful stay under the lean-to. It was so magical taking a hot outdoor shower in the cold rain. When the rain did let up- we caught amazing glimpses of a beautiful sunset and unbelievable stars. The property is so beautiful and well thought out/ maintained.
Brian was a wonderful host. He greeted us upon arrival and offered us vegetables from his impressive garden. He also provided us fresh potable water. Although our stay was too wet to allow for a campfire- Brian provided everything we could possibly need to have a nice fire (wood, paper, matches, hatchet etc.) The lean-to also consisted of a rocking chair where we enjoyed reading. We LOVE Brian’s dogs- they are so cute and lovable.
All and all - we really enjoyed our stay! Thanks Brian!

Brian's lean-to site is beautiful!! The lean-to is spacious and very well built with a nice fire pit, picnic table, and rocking chair just outside. The newly built outhouse is simple and all you need, and the outdoor shower is awesome! Brian was super friendly and kind to me and my husband and his dogs were so excited to see us! My favorite part of our stay was the view- we watched the sunset from our sleeping bags and soon after, thousands of fireflies were out over the fields of tall grass. We had a light rain in the early morning and were kept dry with the extended overhang of the roof. We would absolutely recommend and stay again!!
