Romantic
Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is romantic.
Our peaceful, off-grid property features organic gardens, fruit trees, meadows, and forested acres. The solar-powered 25-foot yurt offers comfortable glamping with a full kitchen, woodstove, and supplemental propane heat. We’re located just 7 miles from downtown Montpelier, where you can explore shops, restaurants, and the Statehouse. To the north lies the quaint village of Maple Corner, home to a public swim area, a community store, and the iconic Whammy Bar. At the end of our quiet road, you’ll find an extensive network of public hiking trails. Truly, we’re connected to everything that makes Vermont special—nature, culture, and community. The 25 foot yurt is nestled between trees, meadow, and our beautiful organic garden. Up to four guests can sleep comfortably in the double-sized futon, and king-sized loft beds. We will provide a bottom sheet. Please bring your own bedding and pillows. A full kitchen with a small fridge, oven, and sink is available, and pots and dishware are also available for your use. The yurt is a true off-grid experience, where you can take in the peace and beauty of our property. We operate off a small solar electric system, and ask that you conserve electricity whenever possible. You may (or may not) have cell reception. A weak Wi-Fi signal may be available at the yurt, or you can travel to one of the many coffee shops and stores close by. You will have access to a private composting toilet a short walk from the yurt; a cold shower is available during summer months. Our family home is located a few hundred feet from the yurt. We are happy to help you settle in, as needed, or give you privacy. Because this is our home, we do ask that you keep quiet hours between 10pm and 6am.
