Tucked down a quiet gravel road between Chester and Springfield, Vermont, Xanadu Farm is a peaceful working market garden. We've lovingly restored parts of this farmhouse property, converting the old milk house and tool shed into two cozy cabins--each for 1-2 guests. Guests have access to a shared space in the barn, complete with a kitchenette, dining area, and a comfy common room, as well as an outdoor shower and a private compost toilet. Take a short walk to a cool stream on the property, or watch the sunset from the fire pit overlooking the farm. We welcome dogs (on leash, please), but there is no WIFI--just fresh air, starry nights and a space to unwind.

Most comfy bed!
Tool Shed Cabin
My son came to Vermont for the Green Mountain Stage Race (a multi day bicycle race) and gave this review: Cabin is extremely cozy and the mattress is one of the best I have ever slept on - which was great before my race days. The communal kitchen is very well maintained, decorated and spacious, has pretty much everything you need. Outdoor shower and composting toilet room were great and very clean. The hosts are as welcoming and friendly as it gets. I can't wait to come back!

Really picturesque farm with kind farmers. Milk house, and barn kitchen and bathroom are beautiful, well repurposed spaces. Friendly chickens too

The real Vermont experience!

Milk House Cabin
Wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Milk House cabin. Sharon and Paul were such great host including their dog Pre. Very helpful for all my questions and gave us some great tips about the area. I really felt this was a real Vermont experience. Charming cabin, clean and comfortable bed. Everything we wanted and needed, a quiet few days in the mountains. We will definitely be back for a future stay.

Milk House Cabin
What a beautiful spot! The milk house cabin was cozy, and the bed was super comfortable. Screen door kept the skeeters out and the place was quiet through the night and into the morning. Sharon and her partner had fresh produce available for sale at the farm stand right in front of their place and they were both very welcoming in showing us around when we arrived, showing the amenities - including an outdoor shower with water temperature ranging from cold to hot, a microwave and refrigerator, instant coffee, and a double hot plate for food prep. A gem of a spot and you really can’t beat it for the price. I would definitely come back to stay here again in the future
