Morning coffee with goats

This was a very peaceful stay. Easy in and out. We had coffee in the morning watching goats and looking out onto a serene grassland. Creative art around the property made it feel homey and unique. We would stay again.

Perfect stay!

My husband and I had an amazing few days here. We were visiting our son at UVM and it was a great, convenient spot. The fainting goats were a fun added addition ! Chris made sure we had everything we needed and we will absolutely be back! Thanks again for a great stay!

Wonderful spot. Hosts are great. Set up very nicely: portapot, trash and recycling, water available, electricity. Goats are a kick; their story is fun. Quite a bit of daytime road noise, but very quiet at night. Hospitable and welcoming. Thanks for a fine boondock!

Lots of love have been put into this place! Nice space in the barn with restroom facilities, shower, mirror, potable water, even a cookstove! Great spot for your tent. The fainting goats were adorable!

Great spot near Burlington

I enjoyed my stay for the night at Chris's property in Essex Junction. It was easy to find, and I was able to back my trailer into the driveway without any problems, as traffic wasn't too heavy. The goats were very cute and I was very appreciative of the 30 amp hookup. The host was out of town, so didn't get a chance to meet him, and had a rainy night and morning, so didn't spend much time out in the back relaxing with the goats. But the setup is great for campers, as the host has really made it accomodating for travelers, and I recommend this spot.

What a pleasure to stay at Chris and Mellisa’s place. They were welcoming and very easy to work with. Very quick response times, which is important. Perfect set up with little touches to make the stay great. They have a lovey decorated place and the goats are adorable. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

This is an awesome place… Lovely couple opening up their space for campers. They thought of everything and then more. Inside the sliding door on the back of their garage is a port a potty and kitchen stocked with utensils and a bag shower in the corner which was so welcomed.( I had a hot pot to heat some water!) The goats were so curious and friendly. They were an added bonus.

Joyful and peaceful

I had such a joyful and peaceful stay here—what a gem of a spot! The property is beautiful, quiet, and full of charm. The goats were absolutely adorable, and my dog loved the space (especially watching the goats!).
The host was incredibly kind and supportive. Her confidence and calm energy made a big difference when I arrived—she even stopped traffic for me, which I’ll never forget! True Vermont hospitality at its finest.
The Spot is thoughtfully laid out, and everything felt easy to settle into right away. It was such a pleasure to stay here. Centrally located to a lot of nearby outdoor activities and downtown . I’d absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a warm, welcoming host.

Overall I had a good experience. Chris was a welcoming host and made sure that I had my needs covered. Since I was camping in a rooftop tent, I had to camp in the driveway. The road noise was a bit much.

This was definitely the nicest Hipcamp I've ever stayed at. There was a bathroom shed with all sorts of amenities and a flat wooden plank to sleep on. The goats were very cute as well. I thought it was a good stay with a friendly host.

The camp site provided everything we needed. The platform has rings to tie down your tent. We were able to set up our doors so I could wake up and open it to see the goats and beautiful property. Before booking, I saw comments about hearing road noise, but it wasn't noticeable to us. We had the quiet rejuvenating stay we wanted. Super impressed with the kitchen/bathroom in the shed. The equipment looked brand new. The bathroom was clean. I've never seen a porta-potty with a flush before, and it worked really well. Only wish was for a light in the shed. Probably wouldn't normally be an issue but it rained most of our trip so the cloud cover didn't provide much ambient light during the day. Their goat-tender Jacquelyn was so friendly and super helpful. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had a nice parking spot for the RV with electric. The hosts were very kind and accommodating. They had written information telling campers local areas to visit and guidelines. The property was just lovely. There was a portable potty and area to cook, a place for a tent. Above all, were those adorable goats that I was able to pet and brush. My stay there was absolutely wonderful and memorable! Thank you!

Overnight for a Concert

Came into Burlington for a show at Higher Ground and needed a place to park my pop-up camper for the night. This was a great little spot! 20 minute Ubers into the city, goats to pet, and a great host!

We enjoyed glamping in the tent. This spot was perfect to stay at before our hot air balloon ride just a 4 minute drive away. We also enjoyed the nearby brewery and cidery just a mile away. The tent was clean and the porta-john was also clean. We would stay here again.
