The site is wonderful - very large, grassy, shaded with large trees, and right on the Weber river, which was great for wading and even bathing in the shallow water (on September 1). The owners (Al and Jeri) even have two pontoon boats that campers can use (only going upstream - downstream is faster and rockier). The site has several tables (including a double length picnic table), a netted gazebo with a table and chairs (although we had no insects at all), and what I think is a grill (but didn't open it). Al and Jeri are wonderful. They showed us everything we needed and came a couple of times to see that everything is OK. For example, we asked for a small poll/tub for the kids to play out of the river, and they found one for us. Some 300 ft from the site there is a large enclosure with friendly grazing horses (the kids loved petting them). The only downside is that beyond the river there are train tracks and a highway, so there is quite a lot of traffic noise at night.

Lovely spot by the river

This spot is LOVELY! Plenty of space and lots of tables for shared meals (including one with an insect net which was perfect). The hosts are communicative, friendly, and very helpful! This spot by the river is ideal. As others have said the train goes by often but I am soothed by the sounds of trains so it didn’t bother me. Nor did the traffic sounds as you could still hear the soft babbling of the river. I would 100% camp here again.

Hosts were great. The site is a small treed area at the back of their property along a creek. Enjoyed the ducks that showed up to entertain us. If you are sensitive to noise be aware that the site is very close to an active train track and an interstate highway.

Wonderful spaces for RVs and tents, wonderful hosts, wonderful views! Lots of amenities provided by hosts to make you feel right at home (or should I say right at camp?!) Kayaks, group fire pits and sites, trash cans, outhouse bathrooms and even firewood available!

A wonderful weekend!

What a beautiful place to camp! Al and Jeri are the sweetest and made us feel so comfortable. Sitting in a chair in the river watching all the little birds as the sun shone on the water was the most relaxing time. The spots are all well shaded and have everything you need for an enjoyable time. We will be back!

Al and Jeri were very helpful picking out the perfect spot. It was private with lots of bird activity. Especially goldfinches. The creek was easily accessible. The dogs loved it! Thank you for a quick getaway.

Great spot right on the river

This is a fantastic spot right on the river, and the host, Al, was very communicative and welcoming. It's a great place to watch the Cedar Waxwings hunting bugs and the Belted Kingfishers hunting fish. Highly recommended!

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay. The property owners were very pleasant and helpful. The camp spots had lots of shade and the river sound was very relaxing. I’d happily stay there again.

The operator is very responsible. We arrived very late and couldn't find a seat, so he came to take us there. However, there is a tree in front of this place with a lot of termites, those flying termites.

Sweet little spot down by the river in the nic cool shade. Perfect for my mini-van camper. Al & Jeri are the kindest people. Al helped guide me i for a flat level spot. I slept well under the trees. Would have gotten on the SUP if more time allowed. Going to New Mexico. Long drive.

Al was very friendly and hospitable, greeting us at the entrance, guided us to our options, and making sure all our needs were met. We were able to select a site right next to the river. There is a communal area with a fire pit, plenty of firewood, and several tables, some enclosed in screens.

Al was so kind. He showed us to our spot, gave pointers on setup and explained all aspects of camp. He even let us know how many people were camping around us so there were no surprises. He let us know to reach out incase we needed anything but otherwise let us camp away. Site is great for water access and shade. There is a great commons area but also each spot is secluded enough that you don’t have to interact if you don’t want to. If you are a light sleeper, bring some earplugs, somehow the traffic seems louder at night in a tent. My daughter slept through it, but I struggled. We will be back though! The ease of the river, green grass, kindness of Al and the quiet not over populated campground is well worth some earplugs at night. Thank you for sharing your land!

Beautiful shady spot on the river

We stopped here for one night on our way down to Utah and it turned out to be a fabulous spot! Al met us and showed us down to the camping area on their property and helped us get our motor home in where he wanted it. We had the place to ourselves and a fabulous view of the river made our overnight stay very enjoyable. Our dogs loved exploring everything. The highway is pretty close so if you're tent camping I would bring earplugs. That's the only downside, the highway noise is pretty noticeable, especially when someone veers off and hits the rumble straps. We had a motor home to sleep in so didn't bother us. But something to consider if you're in a tent and not insulated from the noise. But other than that the place was picturesque. We had great weather! The place was clean and well maintained. Woud be a fun place to stay with a group!
