Red Desert RV Park has expanded to 55 full hookup RV sites along with 14 cabins. We are geared towards outdoor adventurists and sightseers wanting a cost-effective stay while taking advantage of everything Moab has to offer! We are locally owned by a family of 8 and love calling Moab our home. We understand the corporate overtaking that Moab has had in the last 5 years and plan to keep our campground affordably priced and locally owned. We have upgraded the old site plan from 7 RV sites to 55 Full Service RV sites this year. Most sites are pull through but we will have some back-ins. Our new bathhouse has a laundry, women's bathrooms and showers, men's bathrooms and showers, and an ADA compliant family style bathroom. In addition to the new bathhouse, we have a new office and retail store where we sell souvenirs, RV supplies, snacks, drinks, ice, firewood, and other necessities for guests. We do not currently have propane fill on site. We know that there are many options to choose from when it comes to staying in Moab. We urge people to support locally owned businesses that help Moab grow and solve problems that exist in our community. Moab is a recreation mecca with something for everyone and our little campground on the south end of the valley puts you within minutes of town, the mountains, and the red deserts around Moab.

Run by nice people, but for the tent site you're basically camping in a parking right next to a house, the outdoor light of which was left on all night. Bathroom is nice and clean.

Our experience ended up really well. We booked an overflow tent site without power and were a bit nervous about what “overflow” meant. When we got there (note that the campground is quite a ways out of town), the site was a pile of dirt beside a tiny tree. The forecast was for rain and we imagined pitching a tent on a pile of mud. We asked at the office if there was any other site, and the person in the office offered us a cabin. The cabin was wonderful—it had a bed, a high top table, a kitchenette, a toilet, and a sink. We enjoyed our stay, but we feel like offering the overflow site as a legitimate tent site is misrepresented. The woman in the office was wonderful to work with and gave us a discount on the cabin.

RV park 15 mins south of Moab right off highway. Easy to access many trails and sights with a short drive. Full hook ups were great, and the bathrooms/shower house was clean (and an added bonus). It was a bit loud being right off of the highway, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay here

The staff was very friendly and welcoming however if you are a light sleeper this is not the best site for you as it’s right next to a busy road. Our neighbors also had 4 really loud dogs barking which interrupted our sleep. There is no real privacy either. The sites are close together. Bathrooms and showers were clean and easy to get to!

Very clean restrooms and park. Laundry was a surprise though, had to run to town for quarters! We weren't on the road side and use white noise everywhere to sleep so we didn't mind the road noise.

If you're in a tent, this is NOT a site for you. It is a wide open space with one and only one site for a tent. That site is in the turn around for the RVs and the deep, large tire marks in the tent site reflect that. It is also about 5 feet from a tree that is in a ditch. The ditch is about 6 feet deep. It is a parking lot for RVs with one single spot for a tent. I discussed this with the owner to try to get a refund, and he refused. He told me that 70% of tenters thought this was fine. 70% is barely a passing grade in school. He is unreasonable, he is greedy considering I'm asking for $100 back and he is not somebody I would ever want to work with. And I'm very very sorry that I signed up for this ever. It's in the middle of a barren parking lot with no shade, except for the one single tree and on the main road. We have been on the tent camping from Florida for two months, and this is the only place that we felt was completely and totally inadequate. This man should be ashamed of himself because he is not representing good spirited capitalism.

The bathhouse here was very clean and one of the nicest I’ve experienced. The staff were accommodating. Biggest drawback to the tent site is that there is very little shade. Under 10 minutes to Moab and under 20 to Arches NP

We checked in but ended up not staying. It was clean and the host was very friendly and helpful. However, it is really just a gravel lot. There weren't any shaded places to rest, no shade at the sites, and the sites seemed very close together.

Great affordable location for Canyonlands and Arches. Level easy to set up. Everything worked as planned. It is a newer campground and they are adding a bigger newer dog park, which would be excellent.

Excellent location, especially when your out most the day doing the Moab/Arches thing. Bathrooms were clean and had 3 showers in Men's, plus toilets. Easy checkin and friendly staff. No trees, all gravel and close to highway, if any of that matters to you but didn't bother us.

Odd spot. If you’re looking for just a place to put some tents, it’s that. Showers and bathrooms were clean, about 20min from downtown Moab and 35 min to arches. That being said, you’re tucked away on the edge of the RV park which is just odd (thought there would be more tent spots) it’s really just a single tent spot with no shade.

Perfect location for Moab. Park is great for having full hookups and having a place to chill. It’s pretty packed plenty of space to set up. Beautiful views from both sides

Absolutely the best RV camp experience! We dry camped on a newly graded site and it was so private and peaceful. The facilities were immaculate and you can tell the hosts take pride in their park. They understand the importance of dogs as family members when traveling and have poop bags at the ready. In their little dog run, we picked up poop that other travelers had left behind. It was the least we could do to say thank you for a dog- friendly stay. All in all, the other campers were extremely quiet and respectful which made for a perfect stay.
