Situated at 7,000 feet, campers are surrounded by the snow covered LaSal Mountains overlooking the deep Canyonlands NP of the Colorado River escarpment, and only 30 minutes from Moab, Utah. Summer temps are much cooler here than in the surrounding canyons and valleys of the Moab area, a very pleasant retreat from the heat! Virtually ALL outdoor sporting adventures are found around here in nearly limitless abundance, including winter sports, snowmobiling, off-roading, dirt-biking, 4-wheeling, and more. Campground has outdoor-potty, free firewood with pits.

  • Review summary

    Generated from real Hipcamper reviews

Danny's campsite offers a warm and welcoming experience with its host and a friendly dog named Ringo. Guests appreciate the scenic mountain views and the chance to interact with farm animals like baby goats. While most visitors have enjoyed their stay, there are some concerns about the facilities, such as the porta-potty and air mattress quality. Overall, campers find it a memorable spot, especially for families and those looking to enjoy a peaceful setting close to nature.

Danny was very kind and welcoming, as well as his dog Ringo. Great amenities for camping, that made things feel easy!

  • Trista C.

Camped in a 16 ft car at TENT Site 2 with pets, Jul 2026.

    It was okay

Ringo jumped on the car, scratching it. Lots of stuff in the yard. Nice view of the mountain. Quiet area.
